HI Margo, thanks for the vid. Just wondering, so you mention the space between beats--as one gets comfortable with a tempo on the grid, does it then make sense to change the rhythm at that tempo, so, adding "half notes" and moving twice in a given beat? I'm not sure I'm explaining myself well but I would appreciate your feedback. Thanks
You’re supposed to ‘beat’ the timing. :) but if you lack the understanding to collaborate to a BPM, I personally find it hard for people to build an understand of how to beat timing if you lack the initial understanding of how to stay on beat. Look at a lot of the timing for foot sweep drills in Judo. It’s collaboration until you decide to get ahead.
Awesome application of this concept in grappling. I’ve used something similar when I boxed it was moreso to drill footplacement/stance and timing.
Really cool. Very interesting way of looking at using timing to beat speed It makes sense! I’ll give it a go!💪

bpm is meaning less. We don't move on the same beat in real situations.
Did you listen to any of the video?

Sorry guys. I just stopped watching at the start when she used the regular beat. I'll watch till the end and find out the reason why. Sorry.
@@a-z2928 patience goes a long way, friend. Hope it makes more sense or else I'm happy to clarify why I use this as a tool in teaching.
