    Latham reminds me so much of Simmons in how he carries himself. So many uneducated fans thought this was a reach at 1.07, but at this point I'm grateful that we got him instead of Joe Alt. Can't wait to see Trench King on the field!

    This is the beginning of a new era. The game starts with the trenches. We got two of the biggest trench brawlers in the draft. I'm not going to be unreasonable and say we are winning the Superbowl out the gate, but we will compete and possibly make something magical happen.

    Excited to see if Latham can swap to LT. He was a good pick OT2 once Alt went off the board. Needs to work on lateral quickness, working on recovery for inside counters. But love his attitude and think he'll be a great fit at the Titans.
    Think Sweat will be great NT next to Simmons, but he would of been available in the 4th-5th round with his DWI and off field concerns.
    Ran should of at least traded back from 38 and accumulated more draft capital and then drafted him.
    On another note, Titans also passed on Adonai who went to the Colts at 52 and now also with BT Jr to the Jaguars.. Titans secondary is going to deal with speed and size with deep threats going forward.
    All the pre-draft talk about getting playmakers and now the top 10 WR are all off the board. Hope they get one in round 4.
    Titans still need to upgrade at Safety, ILB, Edge and Blocking TE, Edge in the later rounds.

      Completely respect your comment but just a couple of friendly counters. Sweat wouldn't have been there in the 4th or 5th. Maybe early 3rd at best but with the streak of DT's taken in the 2nd probably not. Even with the incident, he was awarded the nation's best interior defensive lineman last season and an All-American. His incident wasn't severe and wasn't a multiple offense so I doubt teams were going to let that talent pass all the way through the 2nd round. If he was at the top of their board and they didn't want to risk it, then they did what they were supposed to. As far as Latham's lateral quickness, he wasn't asked of it a lot at Alabama. But, he has ran a 4.85 40 in the past and if you watch his quickness on run swings it's clear that he can move. Can he do it with the proper footwork and technique that it takes to be a known LT in the NFL is yet to see. I won't go all the way back to his high school film to pick apart anything because that's a different level of talent but he was the #1 LT and a top 5 recruit in the country coming out high school so I have faith that he can play the position. Bama moved him to RT because they already had a stud (at least in college) at LT in Neal. He wasn't moved because he wasn't capable. Both of these guys have tremendous upside but both have developments to work on the same as 98 percent of draft picks.

      @@bonecold4387It was a reach. It’s that simple. He is a run stopper that averaged less than 40 plays a game in college because of his conditioning. He isn’t a 3 down DT. He Only had 2 sacks last year. Not a good pick at all at 38. We left potential game changers on the board to draft a 2 down run stopping DT.

    • @bonecold4387
      @bonecold4387 12 дней назад +1

      @@jeremyg8286 I don't think you understand what a defensive tackle is my friend. You don't bring up sacks when you talk DT. That's not close to their primary job but a bonus if they can get some. He's good in stunts and gains and has very quick hands with an outside lineman swim move. Disrupts the play in passing downs which is a DT's job. To disrupt the play, push offensive lineman into the pocket or get into the backfield allowing edge rushers or more explosive players to make the play. Disrupting the play and causing double teams is what you need in the middle of the line and he does this repeatedly. He played 100 more snaps than his edge rush buddy Murphy that was drafted in the 1st round. How do you think Murphy got to the QB so much? Because he was given the one on one advantages while running twists and stunts with Sweat that freed him up. Sweat and Simmons in the middle of the line will eat up 3-4 lineman allowing others to make plays and they will have their fair share of plays as well. I don't think you understand how every piece of a defensive unit works to be successful.

      @@bonecold4387you’re a 100% right sweat wouldn’t be there in the 4th or 5th cuz a comment came out Ran said that "A GM was going to pick Sweat next if the titans didn’t" so sweat was definitely getting picked in the 2nd round plus titans predicted there was going to be a DL run and look how many got picked in the 2nd round especially in the beginning literally rams draft Braden Fiske with the next pick!

    This was a solid draft top to bottom. Give Sweat a chance. His upside is tremendous.

    I’m starting to warm up to Latham but I still hate the second round pick. Some fans are gunna defend the team no matter who they picked, they are just blindly loyal like that, but I’m not sold at all on round 2. He isn’t a pass rusher with only 2 sacks last year, he has some off the field questions, and he averaged less than 40 plays a game last year. We drafted a 2 down run stuffer at pick 38. There were still playmakers on both sides of the ball left but we passed on em all to get the type of player that we could have gotten much later on.

      I think Bowers is extremely overrated. Reason he fell to 13. His production wasn't amazing. His athletic ability and potential is. So is Latham's and we needed an offensive lineman a ton more than a tight end.

    • @TwoTacks-jg7vh
      @TwoTacks-jg7vh 12 дней назад

      @@bonecold4387his production was insane, what are you talking about? For a college tight end, his numbers blew someone like a kyle pitts away and he was seen as a cant miss prospect with everyone slobbin and bowers numbers dwarf his. He will be a gronk/kelce type and end up in the hall of fame. This guy will be switched to right tackle because he is to big to move, people will run right by him, like most alabama linemen and he will probably be fairly good there. Nothing wrong with that unless your a top ten pick. Not buying the mindless "blindly trust the process."

    • @InterloperBob
      @InterloperBob 12 дней назад

      Yeah you're right it is great to have a young athletic freak tight end. Kind of like Chig Okonkwo.
      Another year of revolving door at left tackle might've ruined Levi's career. Skoronski and Latham could be a decade long institution on that side, especially with Cushenberry there at center. Levis' style needs some protection so things can develop down field.

    The Latham pick is solid imo, but drafting Sweat at #38 is absolutely absurd. Leave it to the OTP though to spew nothing but propaganda for the Titans. What else should we expect? If you want honest opinions from people who aren't just a mouthpiece for the organization, I suggest following channels like Locked on Titans. Or even Sports Fan Entertainment (even though MJ is a bit lazy at releasing new content).
