Probably the most underrated things in this movie is they got Al Michaels to be in it. The man who said “Do you belive in Miracles” also said “I can’t believe those girls were in grade school just a few years ago”
Look up an Al Michaels interview from Howard Stern during the mid 90s. You’ll see he’s someone who definitely doesnt get bent out of shape about anything at all.
This movie is horrible and I love it. It’s so mean spirited, tasteless, and downright stupid in its writing. I’m almost convinced that the film would be unwatchable if anyone else played the two lead characters. Trey and Matt have an iconic friendship and perfect on screen chemistry

If this movie had any other cast, it wouldn't have worked for me. Trey and Matt are just naturally funny guys with awesome chemistry, and I truly believe they're the funniest modern comic duo. Plus, this was Robert Stack's best role ever, not a surprise as he was the only good part of Caddyshack II.
What's crazy is how consistently good South Park season ratings are... Also, if I recall PHONEbooth had release issues because there was an actual active sniper that started up a few weeks before the films release and the studio chose to delay the release and the public (back then) thought it was tempting fate to go see it.
Technically not true: the duo has a cameo in the Troma film "TerrorFirmer" directed by Lloyd Kaufman. "Uncle Lloyd" had a cameo at the end of "Orgazmo". Troma, headed by Kaufman, bought their first film, "Cannibal: The Musical".

The truth about the man they are basing their new character on was a slave who was dressed up as a samurai to mock him and he was seen as an attraction
