    It's actually really good, I recommend not adding milk when it's powdery, just spin again and then press with the scoop, end result is better and it doesn't melt as fast.

    A little tip from soneone who has had a ninja creamy for a couple years now: If it looks powdery, do NOT add more milk! Instead, either let the icecream sit on the counter for 10-15 minutes BEFORE you spin it for the first time, or click the respin option after the initial spin. The powdery consistency usually means that it was too frozen. A re-spin solves the issue most of the time ;) Adding milk makes it melt faster and makes it less thick and decedent. Also, if you want to add a mix in, I recommend removing a spoonful or two of the icecream first. It will give it more room to mix and distribute it evenly

    • @benjy8342
      @benjy8342 3 месяца назад +6

      It’s usually due to their not being ‘enough’ sugar in the recipe. The softer, creamier texture you get from McDonald’s/other soft serve ice-creams comes from the amount of sugar in the recipe and visa versa, less sugar and you get powdery texture. Obviously if you want ‘healthier’ ice-cream with less sugar then you have to use this kind of work around:)

    • @kzcreationzmore
      @kzcreationzmore 3 месяца назад +2

      @@benjy8342 it can be caused by either, maybe. But honestly, Ive made creamies with little to no sugar and they often come out great on the first spin, so I’m not sure.

    @totallynotpaul6211 3 месяца назад +1628

    For those wondering how it works, it's actually pretty simple.
    Ice cream is different from sweet ice because it has air incorporated and also very small ice crystals. Normal ice has no air and massive crystals. The normal churning process involves mixing the ice cream while it freezes, adding air and keeping ice crystals small. The ninja creamy works by taking a chunk of ice, and slicing extremely finely to mix in air and break up ice crystals to create ice cream.
    This technology has actually existed for a few decades, but it was patented, and the company only made equipment for restaurants. Recently, the patent expired and Ninja jumped on it, creating the first consumer version.

      @skittIe I'm glad personal opinions still tick people 😌 With a blender there is an expected level of noise but the ninja was way louder than a blender. It sounded like a blender and ice machine running at the same time, way louder than expected. And with buy a supposed ice cream/sorbet maker, I and like I seen other videos on, thought the consistency will stay the same. Pro tip : remember to let it defrost a bit (15 minutes is usually how long I do it for) before you spin it because if you don’t, there will be a wall of ice around the outside and while it doesn’t affect the taste, you are wasting ice cream and if it gets into your ice cream, the ice will make the ice cream icy and crunchy.

    My old (like from the 1980s) ice cream machine (that still works, mind you) has a "stone" that you freeze beforehand and you pour the mixture over it and the mixing spatula is constantly scraping the "stone" and lifting the frozen mixture. It's amazing. Only downside is that the stone takes up a lot of space in the freezer.

    As someone that owns a ninja creami here is my fav recipe for people that have one :)
    1 cup whole milk
    1/2 cup almond milk
    1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
    2 large ripe mangos
    1/2 cup sweetener (ur choice be creative)
    1 tsp xanthan gum
    2 small egg yolks
    Recipie: first take your egg yolks in a bowl with your sweetener mix it nicely
    Now boil your almond milk, whole milk, and heavy whipping cream in one pan!
    Once it’s at 80 degrees Celsius add in your chopped mangos
    Once done slowly combine the eggs and the liquid for it to not scramble, put it back on heat until it reaches about 90 degrees Celsius (on low heat)
    Once that’s done put it in your creami container with your xanthan gum and combine them nicely
    Put in the lid and let freeze for 20-24 hours (necessary)
    Now put it in your creami in the ice cream setting and (optional) add some freeze dried mangos as the mix in!
    I think for best results let your icecream chill in the freezer for 30 mins
    Once done ENJOY :)!!!!!!!

    Okay I know a lot of people have mixed feelings about this thing so imma just say my experience with it.
    So when you buy it the machine comes with three different tubs for you to make 3 different types of ice cream, and if you have multiple people in the house that’s a plus.
    Are you likely to eat all of that at once? Depending on who you are maybe but I usually don’t because sweets kinda make me ill in large quantities. Just pop it back in the freezer till you wanna use again. All you have to do is re freeze it it’s so simple.
    Will the consistency change a bit? Not usually, but if it does just add little more liquid. The reason hers came out powdery is because the manual suggests that you let it sit for a little while out of the freezer. Do you have to? No, just do what she did and put a little liquid in and you’re good to go.
    Is this machine for everyone? No, of course not because nothing is. Is it great if you’d like a healthier option to ice cream? Absolutely! I make some out of just pure frozen fruit all the time or add in protein powder.
    So before you go buying it on a whim or just knocking it because of a price, really look and see if this would be something to fit your lifestyle or not.

    To be honest i would not add any sweetner to it to make it a bit healtheir, it would be a nice texture change, and thats also enough. 😊

    I can't believe I see these ads after I bought it but so far I love it, just annoying how the bowl has to freeze for 24 hours but hey it could be worse

    It’s good it’s just that my bother had gotten one like two months ago and when he first put it to use apparently there was something wrong with it,and there was a small fire that had started and you can smell it from my room which is FAR .It burned where you blend it, and we sent it to the company and got a new one like a week later. The ice cream is good it’s just that you have to put your mixture in the freezer for 24 hours and like I don’t have time for that. It’s still a good product tho

    Yeah for me I don't think it would work because if I want ice cream I don't want to have to freeze it and wait or think ahead of time when I want a milkshake or anything of that sort that a ninja creamy can do so I would get something different or just a blender

    To be fair anything NINJA is worth it if you use it a LOT, it’s pricy though.
    We got one for my grandma.
    A mixer/ blender.
    600$ CAD
    She love it so much compared to her old blender.
    She make so much food… I’m practically living out of it.

    The end product looks really nice but if you have to leave it in the freezer for 24 hours first, I feel like you're better off just buying some nice ice cream.

    Before you make anything else in your ninja creamie you are doing one thing wrong when you freeze it overnight some of the stuff expands so there might be a little bump on the top. You need to wait for it and take a spoon and push it down cuz it could break the machine if you don't just to let you know

      Unless you get one with a compressor to keep the bowl frozen you have put the container or bowl in the freezer before using. You can get a proper one for the same price.
