RE: “I believe whole heartedly” at 11:03 & “I believe the Lord is calling us to…” at 14:32 - Teaching our beliefs causes dullness towards the commitment to treat our ears as holy. If the preacher does it, then the congregation will do it. We cannot un-hear what has been preached. Our ears are holy unto the Lord. Please stop teaching your beliefs. I don’t care if your beliefs are consistent with God’s Holy Words. If so, why not just stand upon the authority of God’s words instead of upon the alleged authority of what you believe? Man’s belief does not increase faith. Only God’s words increase faith. Stop teaching society by your example that it is ok to proclaim their own beliefs. We have enough of that whirlwind in social media, government, and other churches that refuse to control their tongues and thus the rest of their bodies.

Maybe you should stop teaching people not to teach? IHOP is a huge blessing for many. Leave them alone and start your own ministry!

@@tatiede9618 I did not say stop teaching truth. I said stop teaching our own beliefs. In other words use the Bible to teach the Bible and keep our own opinions out of it. Moses, Jesus, Paul, Peter, John the Beloved and even John the Baptist all taught the exact same thing. Would you rather be like Jesus, knowing Him as He knows you and His Father? Or, would you rather be like some human? I tell you the truth. There are many who want to be like Mohamed or Buddha. However, Jesus spoke the fallowing to His own disciples:
Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles? And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.' New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update. The Lockman Foundation, 1995, p. Mt 7:22-23.
Jesus said that to people who believed they were going to be with Him in paradise. How much more will He say it to those who refused to be Holy unto His Father in Heaven just because they chose to do the same thing the Disobedient Prophet did in the Old Testament. That prophet nullified God's instructions in favor of man's instructions and got eaten by a lion as a result. King Saul nullified God's commands and was demon possessed for the rest of his life because of it. Even Eve in Genesis 3 leaned upon her own understanding and ate the forbidden fruit because of it.
Do you really want to walk down that same path just because you get something out of man's teachings, instead of obeying what is written? We are commanded to test the spirits (not the Holy Spirit, but human spirits) so that we are not tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine. I tell you the truth, IHOPKC would never have suffered through scandal had they developed this discipline and held their own leadership accountable in this manner.
It is LAWLESSNESS in God's eyes to teach human opinion for faith comes from hearing ONLY God's words of truth...not man's opinions. The fastest way to earn a millstone around our necks and have it thrown into the sea is to cause someone to loose faith via teaching man's beliefs instead of God's words. If man's beliefs are exactly the same as what God spoke, then they are not man's beliefs because God spoke them as LAW first. So, why take eyes off of God's words by stating something like "I believe..." especially after Jesus spoke, “He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who is seeking the glory of the One who sent Him, He is true, and there is no unrighteousness in Him." New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update. The Lockman Foundation, 1995, p. Jn 7:18.

@@LadyPeter Paul says in Rom 10:1 ““Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.”
‭‭So, you are telling Paul not to preach what is in his heart?
      Billy Graham:
"I think it is a sin to look at another person as inferior to yourself because of race or because of ethnic background, and I think the greatest thing to do is to pray that God will give you love for them, and I do.”
So, Billy Graham should have quoted Bible instead?

    • @LadyPeter
      @LadyPeter Месяц назад

@@tatiede9618 Paul expressed a heart's desire just like Jesus did in Luke 12:49. Thus, there is nothing wrong with speaking a heart's DESIRE. Opinions, speculations, beliefs, interpretations, perceptions and et cetera are NOT desires. Desires have no presumed authority attached to them as desires may or may never be established. That is why Jesus could pray for His desires and yet remain without sin.
However, do you remember Peter's desire to prevent Jesus from going to the cross? Jesus rebuked Peter for attempting to take authority over God's will and prevent God's will from taking place i.e. being established. Peter did not speak a desire that day. Peter spoke a declarative word that strongly contradicted God's will. Human opinions, speculations, beliefs, interpretations, perceptions and et cetera are declarative words that presume an authority at some level. Peter presumed an authority over Jesus that day. Thus, Paul may pray for his desires just like Jesus did. Praying, however, is not preaching or teaching as praying is mostly to be accomplished in our secret place.
      Remember, Paul also wrote:
"I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling, and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God." New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update. The Lockman Foundation, 1995, p. 1 Co 2:3-5.
Even Paul does not want your faith, more precious than purest gold, to rest "ON THE WISDOM OF MEN" i.e. human opinions, human speculations, human beliefs, human interpretations, human perceptions etc. Furthermore, calling people to rid themselves of the wisdom of men does not automatically mean the caller is arrogant or even humble. It is merely a call and nothing more.
Besides, Peter was not the only one in the Bible that has given us an example of nullifying God's words for the sake of man's wisdom. Moses and Paul have also. Jesus even corrected Moses' error for us. As for Paul's correction, well Paul gave that to us himself.
You are very right. Billy Graham should have quoted Bible instead. Why? Because God is not accountable to our beliefs. But, God does tie Himself to accomplishing His own words. That's why we call Him faithful. He keeps His words even to His own detriment. Furthermore, the quote you provided from Graham contradicted the greatest commandment. Jesus said the "greatest thing" is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and strength. The second greatest is to love others as we love ourselves regardless of race etc.
Am I greater than Billy Graham? Not according the John the Baptist who does happen to be greater than Billy Graham. But Jesus did speak the following about who is great in God's eyes:
For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say to you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update. The Lockman Foundation, 1995, p. Mt 5:18-20.
      Blessings

@@LadyPeter I’m sorry, but you sound like one of those “super spiritual” people… Yes, we can share our opinions, positions, and thoughts, and revelations while teaching. That’s how we will talk to each other in eternity. You don’t have to accept them or like them 🤷‍♀️
