I marched LA Stars 2019 and am contracted SOA 2020-21 and I can definitely say... this video is exactly how drumcorps is as a whole. Took me back to 2019 vibes
I just saw this six months later, I don't know if you've already finished the audition process something I know would help anyone is to try to start making connections with people right away. Even if you need a lot of work, just having a few people around you will give you a support group to help you and give you more relevant advice. Drum majors are always the easiest people to talk to after you say hi.
@@colepasch2950 Honestly, if you have never marched before the best thing to do is watch plenty of practice videos. Drum corps rehearsals or even college/high school band rehearsals give you a close-up look at what people do when they march so try to mirror what they do. Also just going to one audition camp with a drum corps will give you plenty of foundation to get you started marching. Just let the instructors know you are learning from the beginning. I have seen people go from only having a couple of months of experience in high school band to making a finalist corps. Just be open to coaching and ask all the questions you need to.
It’s not that uncommon to have members who were in high school during audition season and then graduate before the summer. I think our mellophone section was half college students and half current or graduated high schoolers. The work you turn in for drum corps in the off season is equivalent to another class, so you should make time for it if you are serious about marching
Dude, I got contracted for the 2020 season and I'm really excited. I really love the family vibe yall give and that's why I chose crossmen.

Any tips for the upcoming crossmen auditions...I’m a sophomore in highschool and I’m really nervous
Or any tips for learning how to March in general. I really want to audition when I’m college but my high school doesn’t have a marching band :(

Why are people wearing mask
It’s ironic, but a few of us got sick and had to quarantine ourselves and wear masks. We basically predicted the future
