- On the 3rd August 1991 disaster struck, as the MTS Oceanos suffered major problems at sea, resulting in her eventual sinking. However, all passengers luckily escaped with their life.
Today, the Oceanos lays off the coast of South Africa.

Fun fact: When Oceanos was sinking all of the crew abandoned the ship taking the lifeboats for themselves. However as of a miracle not a single life was lost.

The History Of The MTS Olympus:
The MS Jean Del Pierre Was Ordered By Messagiers Maritimes And Was Built At Bordeaux,France Shipyard. The Ship Has Been Launched On July 12th 1952. She Was Delivered To Messagiers Maritimes In 1953. In 1953 She Arrived Marsailles-Indian Ocean-Madagascar And Africa. In December 1970 She Was Sold To Efthymiades Lines And Renamed RAFINAI. In 1971 She Arrived Piraeus-Crete. In 1971 During The Autumn,She Was Rebuilt. In 1972 She Was Renamed BRINDISI,Registed By Hellenic Italian Lines {Subsidiary Of Efthymiades}. On March 26th 1972 Until December 1973 She Arrived Patras-Ancona-Brindisi. In 1974 She Was Renamed BARI EXPRESS. In 1974 She Was Chartered To FAF Co,Singapore And Renamed NORTHERN PRINCESS And Arrived Sydney-Singapore And Oceania. In 1976 She Was Sold To The Greek Shipping Company Epirotiki Lines And Renamed OLYMPUS. From 1976 Until 1982 She Was Chartered To Flotta Lauro Lines And Painted The Flotta Lauro's Colours Library. In 1982 She Deployed On Epirotiki Lines Traffic Again. In 1986 The Olympus Another Epirotiki Ship The ORPHEUS We're Filmed The Movie ''Dogs Doesn't Catch Me''. In July 1994 She Was Chartered To BCB Lines For 2 Years And She Arrived Rio De Janeiro-Sydney-Auckland-New Caledonia-Vanuatu And Southampton. On August 3rd 1994 The Olympus Departed From Rio De Janeiro To Sydney With 352 Passengers Onboard. Captain Giorgos Kostantinos Sees Everything,But She Didn't See a Big Fog. All The Passengers And Crew We're Celebrating The Party With The Decks And Musicans Onboard. On August 4th 1994 At 1:00am Captain Goes To Sleep. At 1:08am Something Heard a Bang. The Engine Room Is Arleady Broke Out And Damaged The Ship. At 1:17am The Captain Wakes Up And Going To The Bridge. At 1:18am The Captain Announces a Signal Alarm: ''ATTENTION PASSENGERS!!! ATTENTION PASSENGERS!!! ALL THE CREW MEMBERS AND PASSENGERS GO TO THE LIFEBOATS! ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ ΕΠΙΒΑΤΕΣ!!! ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ ΕΠΙΒΑΤΕΣ!!! ΟΛΟ ΤΟ ΠΛΗΡΩΜΑ ΚΑΙ ΟΙ ΕΠΙΒΑΤΕΣ ΠΗΓΑΙΝΕΤΕ ΣΤΑ ΣΩΣΙΒΙΑ!''. All The Passengers And Crew We're Evacueted The Lifeboats. At 1:21am The Ship Is Listing By 25 Degrees. At 1:22am Captain Sends a Distress Signal: ''MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY THIS IS THE OLYMPUS,THIS IS THE OLYMPUS,CAN YOU HELP ME???''. At 1:26am The Ship Is Listing By 42 Degrees. At 1:34am And 1:39am The Ship Is Listing 52 Degrees. At 1:42am The Captain Leaves The Bridge And Goes To The Lifeboat. At 1:52am The Ship Is Listing By 65 Degrees. At 2:13am The Ship Rolled Over,Capsized And Sank In The Indian Ocean.
