I didn't find him on Netflix, it was actually in the quaint and colorful town of Malden, fate conspired to introduce me to Derek, a remarkable individual with a mischievous glimmer in his eyes and a grin that could light up the night sky. One sunny afternoon, as I wandered through the vibrant streets, I couldn't resist joining the laughter emanating from a gathering crowd near a majestic oak tree in the local park. There stood Derek, perched on a wobbling ladder, determined to retrieve a wayward Frisbee lodged in the branches above. With a startled expression, he lost his balance and tumbled down, but true to his nature, he burst into infectious laughter, filling the park with mirth. Helping Derek up and exchanging introductions, we discovered our shared love for life's peculiar adventures and finding humor in unexpected places. From that day forward, Derek became my partner-in-crime, and together we embarked on a multitude of riotous escapades. Our laughter echoed through the streets of Malden as we dared to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary, creating unforgettable memories that would forever be etched in our hearts. With Derek by my side, reminding everyone not to take life too seriously, our friendship became an enduring source of joy and laughter in the charming town of Malden.
@@JackmanWorks Translation: I saw Derek in his hometown and he seemed cool but I watched him fall in front of some people in a park when he tried to get his frisbee that got stuck in a tree and he laughed which made other people laugh and then I helped him up which led to us being friends because we liked the same things so now we do stuff together and it's fun.
I am longing to meet my Jimmy. Great channel, great documentaries. It's very inspirational to discover the story behind all these people I have been following for quite some time now. And thank you Derek from Malden 😊
I remember the day I met Derek and told him "I'm going to get you on Netflix" and he didn't believe me, but look at him now! I got him on Netflix thanks to Jimmy Diresta getting us on Netflix.
So happy to see this one. Proud to say I've been following Derek since *before* he got Netflix-famous. 😁 I'm also of an age where we would check out books from the library, look up information in an encyclopedia, and talk to friends on the phone thatvwas plugged into the wall, so maybe that's part of why I enjoy him so much. He truly seems like a great person and I'd live to meet him someday. Thanks for sharing!
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Derek at Maker Central in the UK on a couple of occasions along with Jimmy DiResta they are two of the nicest people you could ever want to meet 😎
I first found Derek at Jimmy's house, sitting around the fire. In retrospect, I think I said too many jokes about "Massholes" (I'm a Rhode Islander) and didn't leave a good impression. Eventually I think he knew it was just a dude telling stupid jokes. 😊 I love Derek, great guy, and I wish him every success.
“Call me Malden”😂😂 Great video, I here for the love he’s giving out, with total lack cynicism or sarcasm, pure genuine love for the people he cares about and who support him. ❤
Comment if you found Derek on Netflix!

All I can say is, the license plate should say “Maykah”. As another old Masshole, I loved this episode.
