update of the new bike with a rear disc brake attached with a brand new 3 liter gas tank and a quick ride around the neighborhood with the one hand on phone method again top speed 50mph
this bike goes faster than 20 MPH so before anyone else comments about the fact that I was only going around 20mph on my bike should read this first not last hopefully this helps clear up any confusion regarding top speed.
We realize that, but people would rather see the 50 than putting around. Thats like posting a 300 lb bench press and then showing 50lb, doesnt quite make sense. Nice bike though
Jefff163; Not bad. I payed about or a little more than that for a Honda friction drive bike I put together last year mostly because the bike by itself costed $600.
think he was intentionally not going flat out because he was carrying camera with one hand and other on the bars. going over 20 with one hand great way to get your teeth knocked out and a good ole roadrash
Mufflers are hotter than hell when they burn your skin. That one sure looks like a challenge in just keeping any hide on your inner legs as you ride. Loping engines always sound odd. Nice looking bike and motor combo, but I'd have to do something about that muffler being where it is located, for sure. :-)
I'm building a clone now with 3.10 lift Dyno cam, dual valve springs, 1.3 roller rockers's making around .530 lift, with a 1.75lb billet Arc. Flywheel. With a 3 disc bully clutch. Using the carb off of a Kawasaki kx85, a flat top piston .020 longer rod, paired with a gx160 head that's been worked to unshroud the valves to make power in the high rpms. By allowing the high compression closed chamber head to flow)breath at high rpms like a open chamber head does. Yet also providing the benefits of the high compression low rpm torque monster effect. When a gx160 head is used on a 196/208/212's
Nice job putting this together. I like the sound. Unfortunately we can't ride something like this out in S. Calif., if it doesn't pedal or with a motor of this size. We would be limited to off-road only.
I already have a wide pedal crank but it would not fit right so I put the normal one back on. and also I got at least three or four inches of space before this thing can sink its teeth in my leg or actually my ankle since its in-between the two front drive pulleys. and the side cover sticks out so far it blocks my foot from reaching the pedal.
how did attach the rear sprocket to the hub I have a bike with rims like that the only way I could see is to drill hole threw the sprocket and attach it to the disk brake with five Allen bolts so or weld it on?
I know that I must be missing something, but I believe I would have to be bow-legged in order to ride with the engine and such mounted in that manner. Lord help me if I ever caught my big feet up as I put them onto the pedals when riding. It would have been nice to have seen you on the bike and see what that looks like as you mounted it to ride.
Get yourself a 3D Motorsport manual clutch. They are new and the only manual clutch for these engines on the market. Cheaper and better than a CVT transmission, too. You can also pedal start like the 80cc bikes with these clutches and get rid of the pull start. You can thank me later.
Eclipse Gaming there is a big disadvantage if you're using a centifugal clutch since the torque converter has the most power in terms of taking off and acceleration and it's much smoother than a centrifugal clutch but it cuts down top end speed by about 75 percent from what I noticed so I stuck with the torque converter.
Axe and theres people like me who like the like feature like electrict start everything between the 212 preddy and my powerland are similar.i uses 212 headers and carb filther adapter as well as the plate.
Love you bike & set up. What frame are you running. After my build I have going now I really want to build one with a predator. I love the power they have, but I love the sound better. But I need to start thinking of what frame I need. I really like yours, so that is why I ask what bike you have.
What bike frame is that? I also noticed that you flattened the front tube. That might compromise the strength of the frame. I currently have a 79cc Predator mounted on a Huffy. Lacks low end torque, so I'll upgrade to a CVT torque convertor. Planning to build my next one with a 212cc. Thanks.
Jeff nice build man I'm building a 212cc bicycle. Question are the torque converters they sell for go carts the same as kingsmotorbike torque converter?
Can you ride the bike pedaling it with your feet? If you're hitting the engine are you hitting the muffler with your leg? Does it go off-road up some hills pretty good?
Sorry was not informed of exactly what it was and how fast it went. Or where you can ride gas powered bikes. All I see is kids getting pulled over by cops. Just asking. Yes I know this one bike will go much faster. But as a rule electric bikes are only legal if you stay at 20mph or under.
you can order the engine kit at www.gasbike.net and I have seen one of these in a KMB GT gas tank frame but that might require the CNC head. if you look at my other video I actually put this engine in a NEL LUSSO frame and it has a CNC torque convertor mounting plate that wont snap in half I would recommend to get one of those if you do plan build one of these kind of bikes.
What is your top speed running the torque converter right to a rear sprocket? I'm getting ready to put the same setup on a tandem bike that will run the torque to the rear pedal sprocket which will then run through the 21 speeds the bike has, but will need a heavy duty derailuer. Was just wonder what top speed was going directly to the rear wheel?
I have only got it up to 48mph but it keeps throwing the chain off cause the torque converter belt pulls the rear pulley towards the front pulley causing the front drive sprocket to tilt letting the chain to slip off but I think it could do about 55 to 60mph.
Thanks. I wonder if the rear of the torque converter could be bracketed to the seatpost on the frame to stabalize it, maybe with some plumbers pipe hanger tape. I can't wait to start building mine. ( ; ) )
You need to cover that front pulley. It's dangerously close to your left pant leg. If it grabs the denim of your pants it will rip your leg off before it's done.
I don't wear denim so that that wont work and I have had my pant leg caught in there before and my leg wont just rip off cause this isn't a movie. and to tell you truth them cover are retarded looking and I wont be able to reach the pedals cause it sticks out to far. but thanks for your concern anyway.
You don't were jeans? That's unusual. It won't literally rip your leg off, but it could injure you. You can make your own cover that is more streamlined.
Read the description it does 50, he has his phone in one hand he isn't gonna do a speed run like that, also why go to all that an not get a dirt bike for me would be less likely to get pulled over
raamastak1 I have a dirt bike and I also have a Harley Davidson Sportster but these bikes are much less of a Hassel when it comes to maintenance and repairs.
so if you ride for a long time the engine doesn't heat up? what about the smell..after you take a ride i'm guessing you get an engine/gas smell afterwards..i'm asking cuz i wanted to know if i could still store the bike in my room afterwards..also what kinda brakes do you use? going fast you gotta have better brakes and not just the regular bike brakes, right?
I am using a cheap hydraulic disc brake from eBay and yes you most likely will have a gas smell after riding the bike but I think if you drain the carburetor and gas tank after each ride I would think the gas smell wont be as strong but I don't recommend that if you are going to ride the bike a lot.
How does that statement mean anything? It only went 21 or 22 mph. I hope when the clutch bites your leg ( thats read as when. Not if) your going slow, and not go down to the left. Your leg is going to get chewed up bad. On the lighter side its a beautiful build! Well done!

Eduardo Diaz 10L gas tank never heard of one but the newest version of this bike that I have has 1 gallon whizzer bike gas tank on it and it has very good mileage.
eBay sells universal gas tanks for motorcycles, it seems we can weld some bolt to screw it in place in a bicycle, it seems like a good alternative to these small flimsy gas kit tanks.
BlueWise NinjaOwl in canada it's either 50cc or other and it's classified as a bicycle or it's over 50cc and it's a motorcycle. Not sure what your local laws are.
A 212 4-stroke engine will stay together for a very very long time. unfortunately a two stroke will not and they will die of a very early death if you let them sit. And here's why the gasoline will rust the bearings over so much time sitting. and when you fire them up the bearing will go out causing early failure. Another problem of two strokes is being leaned out without enough oil. I like two strokes but I'd much rather have a 4-stroke any day on propane is the very best that way you don't have to deal with any carburetor problems at all, more dependable than any Honda, no gasoline in the oil, no carbon in the motor and on the spark plug at all. Propane engines will double the life expectancy of a 4-stroke, compared to a 4-stroke gasoline engine.
this bike goes faster than 20 MPH so before anyone else comments about the fact that I was only going around 20mph on my bike should read this first not last hopefully this helps clear up any confusion regarding top speed.
For a 212cc I would hope so. Nice bike man.
We realize that, but people would rather see the 50 than putting around. Thats like posting a 300 lb bench press and then showing 50lb, doesnt quite make sense. Nice bike though
I highly doubt that. It's too heavy.
jefff163 why would you even show the spedo if u didnt intend to open it up ???
Nice build!! Would like to see 50mph though.. legal?
that exhaust pipe looks dangerous like it would burn your leg.
no but it did burn through two pairs of pants. and that's why I put a makeshift heat shield on it.
jefff163 It's really cool
jefff163 how much was this?
this bike cost around 1000 with all the extra parts
Jefff163; Not bad. I payed about or a little more than that for a Honda friction drive bike I put together last year mostly because the bike by itself costed $600.
Looking down the whole time was almost enough to make me "ralph". At least look up once in a while so we can enjoy the ride vicariously! Nice build!
Holy Damb man! 212cc!? Really officer it's only 50ccs ;D I love it, great build. Way to grease a shoehorn getting that engine on that bike
With the Comet variable ratio drive and 6.5hp ohv 212cc harbor freight predator that bike should fly. Should be good for an honest 50mph ..maybe more
I heard someone got theres up to 65, without removing the govener
Put billet parts in. Now it does 70

Nice bike, thanks for sharing.
Wow thatthings cool, nice, amazing i dunno not enough words to discribe it!ive seen alot of builds n this is by far my fav.!!!nice work
I'm all about the braplife, but this is a nice looking scooter
Nice job putting this together. I like the sound. Unfortunately we can't ride something like this out in S. Calif., if it doesn't pedal or with a motor of this size. We would be limited to off-road only.
Well that's because California is a piece of dog shit state ran by a bunch of brainless tree hugging soy boys.
get the widened pedal set. I know not having the cvt cover on it looks cool, but that thing gonna eat your leg, which isnt good a 40-50mph

I put some spacers and bolts from home depot in between the sprocket and the disc rotor
It's awesome but in the future that frame is going bye bye! But by this build I think you know that. Get a purpose built gas tank frame! Nice video

Okay, well most people don't like having the pull start on their engine so I thought I'd let you know.
big disadvantage not having the variable transmission tho

nice build brother!!

Sweet build! Where did you get that triple tree from?
Sweet build man👍🏻 Who makes that CVT?
a tweeker on a good day!
No issues with those mags? I want to get a st but I am scared of them cracking.
Ι dont think that the top speed is only 25 mph!!
i highly doubt anyone is dumb enough to go over 25 mph with one hand carrying a camera and other on the bars
How close are your legs to the muffler? Looks to me that you can get burned easily.
I would never open this up more less ride it, look close at the frame being pounded in and the cut off support bar. Danger waiting to happen.
similar to mine,good job.
Yea man sweet build. I was going to do this but was wondering if the frame could handle so much torque
Lol... 6.5hp 1 gear
awesome...

What did you do to the frame it's a mess
haha sick man
What kind of bike is it please tell me so I can get my engine to fit
did u find out cause i need to know as well
Predator 213
What is it about 20 mph. Is it that under 20 you can ride on the street with this bike? I don't think gas powered bikes are legal anywhere in the US.

Yes I know this one bike will go much faster. But as a rule electric bikes are only legal if you stay at 20mph or under.
No crank mod so pedal clears?
Is that the Grubee HD rear hub?
What frame did you use for this project?
Looked like he smashed some of the frame, wtf!
Would love to use it for hunting/scouting so will it pull a light trailer like a kids bike trailer loaded with a deer and maybe a few otherthings
I don’t know about a deer but the other stuff it will definitely haul it has a lot of power.
do u get burned on the exhaust?
Cool bike like the front forks where you get them and any adapters to make it fit that frame
I got them from fuhuasports on eBay
jefff163 what about the wheels
I got the wheels from gasbike.net but I would recommend getting some on EBay

it a manic mechanic sprocket that you can get on eBay. they usually cost around 40 to 70 dollars depending on where you get it.
Nice build though. Surprisingly slow though. WHy is that?
its slow so I don't break the torque converter again.
How did the TC break?
throttle wheelie broke it they are made of junk pot metal.
Charles Arthur earlier he said it would top out at 50mph, but he was holding camera etc so cruised at only 20.
I see. I have built a few of these and they've always been fast as F.
