How did you make the weapons do this? I've been wanting to find a code for pcsx2 or something to make a run with just the shield charger viable (If it levels up after a certain point there is an invisible ammo counter for when it shocks outward, but if you have it on an earlier level it'll only go away if damage is dealt to it (or you transition from 1 level or sub level to another))
oh nvm it's RaCman-- I wish modding the games wasn't just done through that program alone (especially since it gates off quite a bit of the community from experiencing things like this or the randomizer for the first title.)
@@buninja5604 It might never be because of how reliant the community has become just due to it being used for speedrunning Which like that's okay to some degree I'd say but the fact that it only fully works with the PAL versions of these games isn't great and the fact that you need to homebrew or crack a ps3 is kinda bonkers. I used to hack SMW and seeing these limitations in place for isohacking is saddening, especially since there is an entire discord dedicated to decrypting all the checksums and flags of each of these games in every instance (so ps2, ps3, ps4, and ps5 (IDK if they care about the vita ports though tbh)) and none of that work has been used to broaden this part of the community as of yet.
@@buninja5604 I had to switch my browser (google chrome and youtube seem to conflict lately)- same person; What bothers me the most is that these are limitations we don't need to put on the community. The RaC fan community has a discord dedicated to people decrypting the checksums, flags, and any other kind of coding pointer for every instance of every game (except maybe the ps vita ports and the psp titles) for the prospect of modding and it's come along way but because the speedrunning community solely uses the pal version (and that's broadly speaking the only portion of the community making time-invested content) the community pretty much solely curates material for their use. So in other words they are arbitrarily limiting themselves behind a program you need to homebrew/crack a full console for and on top of that its extremely narrow because its mods only for the pal versions to a large extent. Even though we definitely have started to figure out how the code for this stuff runs, the speedrunning community in a way is largely holding back the modding community. I hope to see some divergence and growth away from this (as I've been curating a super mario world central-like discord for people to easily find and access everything curated by the community in this lens since every other server is kinda not great about spreading awareness and helping curate a sense of creativity/growth within the community for this material.), I just want creatives to be able to explore their mind with tools that make it easy in both senses of creating and enjoying.

It's not a mod that can be directly downloaded. It's a mod that uses a modded ps3 and a software called RaCman to make the weapons delevel
