Next Jessica will go to an American restaurant and ask about unlimited refills, and when a white or black waiter tells them that means an infinite amount of free refills, Jessica will say, “Tonight, I shall drink till I need to pee.”
nikolis hamilton agreed only cause the lady who plays the mom is too hot, childish, and underage. She has no babyface, but she looks like she is in college pursuing her bachelors in art. I like louis and the three boys though, but I think the mom should have played as Chinese Honey, and then, a lady in her late forties plays Jessica.
C A S when my family first moved to socal costco was one of the first stops. i remember sitting in the huge shopping cart and marveling the ginormous size of everything (we didn't have anything like a costco or a wholesale type place in asia at that time)
yes but how come they have a smooth north American accent ? and what annoys me is that they have adopted English aliases. why ? fresh off the boast should have authentic names.
is it really that different? As a whitey honkey I can tell you all of this is accurate to the white experience. Some may say... it's human to do all of these things and not about race.
What about the part when the mom leaves you in line with the cart as she goes off to get more stuff. Then you start to panic a little when it's almost your turn at the cash register, but your mom isn't back yet.
I didn't get this joke until a Costco opened in my hometown. 😂😂 When the Costco in my hometown had its grand opening I went in with the intention to look. A few hours later I came out with a membership, a pack of Sparkling Ice, some lobster ravioli, and snacking on a churro!😂😂
Costco has been my second home for fifteen years. Right after my parents came home from the hospital they stopped at Costco on the way home. My dad-a manager who has worked there for thirty years-was working at the time of my birth. My parents actually met at Costco, both working there at the time. I’m probably one of the youngest people to have ever seen the break room upstairs.
The accuracy is amazing - that the person that is managing the free samples has a "CDS" name badge instead of a Costco one. CDS is the contracting entity "Club Demonstration Services" that manages sample handouts and related in-warehouse marketing events.
lol I never do the same thing in costco, but I love the way they live, trying to save money all the time, cheap but happy, so happy, and they love each other so much.
I remembered the first day coming to the US early this year, and the next day, my cousins in America took me to Costco to buy groceries and well try the food samples .. kinda fun
I used to go to Costo with my mom, this is pretty nostalgic for me. I remember the people with the highlighters at the exit would always draw a happy face on my hand. Good times.
My dad used to take me to a town an hour and a half away to get work done on my braces. I would get to take a whole afternoon off from school and get them tightened. After words we would go to Sam's club and a few other places we didn't have in our home town for some stuff and then grab Italian at this local place in town for dinner before we made the drive back. This really takes me back to those days
I know that other countries also have Costco, but to me Costco is truly the golden standard of the American shopping experience. Their food court prices are insanely good by today's inflation standards, the fact that I can get a giant slice of pizza and a cola for like two bucks makes me so happy I can't even tell you. Get ready to watch that go away once CEO changes positions someday.
The fact more people didn't pick up that sample lady was Lisa Simpson makes me sad :( Also the cat comment was a reference to lisa simpson's cat "snow ball" poem haha.
The "sample lady" is Yeardley Smith, who plays The Simpsons key character Lisa - you know, with the series being set in the 1990s, The Simpsons started out as a gem of the decade
What? She doesn't look that young. She looks like a 40's aged lady- a very nice pretty one, but still. What kind of early early aging are you used to seeing to think she looks like a kid?
Irl, the actress was 34 when this episode aired. Also, the age difference between Evan and Jessica is 24, which is fine, but i dont get how Eddie can be her son. The age difference between those two is under 20. Also, Jessica is in her 30’s during this show as she was born in 1962. So she was 33 when the show started in 1995 and she will reach her 40’s only in 2002. Right now, the show is in 1999, so she is 37. Louis though does not look young.
Rei R the actress that plays jessica was born in 1982. Her character in the show was born in 1962. Remember, this show is set in the 90’s, and every new episode that aires is set 20 years before the actual air date.
Reading 90s best sellers in the Costco book section brings back good memories. I read a lot of Chicken Soup for the Soul and most of the Dear America series.
One of my best memories with my mom when i was younger was going shopping. But we shopped in this rather fancy imported food place. They had a lot of samples and my mom was earned a lot more than what she does now.
Lim Jing I remember once I took my son to Costco and the sample lady was extremely surprised that the boy sitting in cart is my kid 😅she was like,"Really! No kidding! is that your son?"
I'm a Chinese Canadian. And my mother never buys eggs that does not have ORGANIC on the package... And when the better brand toilet papers are on discount, she does stock a lot. lmao
Back in the 90s it was called Price Club not COSTCO ! You guys forgot ! Costco was not known , at some point in the 2000s they merged and kept the Costco name but all thru the 90s it was PRICE CLUB!!!
They needed a part where the kid has to stand in line while the mom shops for longer
and the kid slowly starts panicking as the line gets smaller and smaller and the mom is nowhere to be seen...
This is so relatable
@@siobhanstankievich4815 ptsd activate!

My friend always roll thier eyes at me for this.
I literally dig through that thing and perform acrobatic endevors to somehow get the bottom one.
Was about to make this post.
"But it's free, so I will continue to chew" is me and my mother with free samples
Sio Head so true! she basically verbalized what my mom thinks in her head whenever we come across free samples xD
So true
Next Jessica will go to an American restaurant and ask about unlimited refills, and when a white or black waiter tells them that means an infinite amount of free refills, Jessica will say, “Tonight, I shall drink till I need to pee.”
this show is so foolish
nikolis hamilton agreed only cause the lady who plays the mom is too hot, childish, and underage. She has no babyface, but she looks like she is in college pursuing her bachelors in art. I like louis and the three boys though, but I think the mom should have played as Chinese Honey, and then, a lady in her late forties plays Jessica.
I live in a town with a 1% Asian population and yet almost half of the people I see at Costco are Asian.
C A S when my family first moved to socal costco was one of the first stops. i remember sitting in the huge shopping cart and marveling the ginormous size of everything (we didn't have anything like a costco or a wholesale type place in asia at that time)
C A S FACTSSSS
CAS:
Your point being?
It is true. It is in our genes. When I first went inside a Costco, I know this is my place.
Y'all know we cheap 👌🏽
Don’t forget:
Never take the bag of chips in the front of the isle, take the one in the back, it won’t be too broken!
Br1aNn88 YT it might be expired though🤷🏼♀️
This isnt accurate. Costco restocks daily and purposefully moves them around. Just examine the bag.
Thats wrong because the bag of chips has plenty of air inside so broken chips dont happen as much.
was this show a hit? Did it last for a 2nd season?
Eduardo Viajero went for 6 seasons. Just got cancelled this year
I'm not Chinese,I'm Mexican, but I find it really nice that they made a show that can be relatable to other different cultures!

I know right. I'm Grenadian and it's like the same thing with Caribbean people.
They forgot the part right before the cash register where we eliminate items from the cart.

Spiderninja1 it's the same literally everywhere. it's part of their pride to have consistency.
Yea. The style is always the same. The only difference I notice would be the orientation of stuff differs.
Im from san francisco. I moved to korea. and yes. it even smells the same lol

all the way to Australia... can confirm
Every time I go to Costco I have a whole meal from the free samples.

My dad drives to Costco just to eat a free lunch of samples.
I am a sucker for their sausage samples
When my nana and me would go to Sam's club on Saturday for free samples we would call it going to lunch

Yeardley Smith
