- This video presents further clues supporting the hypothesis that the summer solstice was a very important ceremonial day for the ancient people of Callanish in honoring their ancestors and gods and that they cut and arranged some of the stones to represent their ancestors and to precisely mark the day of the solstice.
What a wonderful video thank you. To see sunrise and sunset over the Callanish stones was a real treat. I've never been, but the stones call to me so I create my own fabric landscapes and pick one or two of the stones that I'm drawn to to sew into fabric panels to make eventually into a memories quilt. I wondered about the numbering of these stones and if there is a plan available anywhere for the whole site, particularly to the avenue would anyone know please? Thank you for posting this fascinating video for us 'armchair travelers' who unable to go there in person. Have you attempted moonset standstill, and also winter solstices at all please? xx
Thank you for this excellent compilation. Yes, it definitely supports the hypothesis!

The Mid Summer Solstice occurs on 21 June.
Are you saying that the male stone is a shaman? The birds are only for you I seen many animals and people in the stones but no birds. I believe that spirits of ancestors, power animals and so forth travel through the leylines to visit with the people who are there.
Amanda. Over 30 years of research by the Leyhunter Journal failed to reveal any evidence of ley lines. You need to read the recent research in Earth Mysteries, not dowsers self delusions.
