I wish they went to the old school story or career modes where you can just be any active wrestler and play a long career with them. Like here comes the pain or the svr games.

Absolutely!!! Or even road to WrestleManianna, a season mode or even a belt challenge mode with stories for each title like no mercy. That was cold!!!
2K is always good with presentation and graphics. However, in both WWE and NBA, 2K has a serious issue with steadiness and fluid movement with their animations. It's 2023, no more excuses.
Yeah I like the game but some animations look like they’re missing 1 or 2 frames.

The AI this time around is so much better and more “alive” than ever.
I wish they had kept the exceptional stat points that some of the superstars had in 2K22 .. I don’t know how much it matters though.. maybe it’s hidden.. you still can get super buffed in Universe mode 😢
Is the A.I really that much more competitive and challenging? That was my problem with WWE 2k22

Yeah the DLC seems lackluster but with the new AI, I think it’s the more the merrier..
Yokozuna is still in his own Uber heavyweight weight class.. he’s more powerful than ever. 😊

I didn’t get 2k22 because I told myself I’ll stop with the wrestling game because they keep downgrading since 2018 but these things are missing in wwe 2k23 from what I can tell, that you could do in previous games
1) Unable to grab people while having a weapon in their hands.
2) Unable to stack tables on each other from what I’m able to tell
3) Corner Finishers in royal rumble
4) DX theme song
5) Chain Grabs
6) More Tag Entrance Motion
7) More Title Entrance Motion
8) Good Stamina Pacing
9) Rolling in/out the ring types
10) Freely Climb The Annouce Table
11) Crowd Weapons/Crowd Signs(old wwe games)
12) Using Steel Stairs In Hell In Cell Match
13) Blood Drip Around Ring when bleeding
14) Using Annoucers Ring Bell As Weapon
15) Wedge Ladder in corner rope

@@rahamanawelenje9955 Last time I played a wrestling game was WCW vs NWO revenge on the n64. I recently picked up w2k22 & w2k23 out of sheer curiousity blind buy.
Man does it feel like a huge downgrade in terms of being able to grapple and throw into the ropes and being able to counter accordingly. Picking up objects were way easier and using them were effective. Also getting back into the ring 50/50 works it feels soo buggy trying to get back into the ring like the character will just stand there.
My biggest problem with w2k23 is the counter system is so garbage... I could literally be button smashing repeatedly... and nothing happens + it doesn't give enough time to react to hit the button because it will dissapear as soon as it pops up on the screen.

I am debating buying the base edition after work today. I thoroughly enjoyed 22, I’m just curious to know is the AI actually difficult? because on the highest difficulty last year no match felt like a challenge. If so I will be buying it.
You dont have to worry bro they messed with the difficulty settings where this year they actually give you a challenge
It’s better than 22 in every way. The loading times are so fast, There are more sliders that work as well and yes the a.i and ref is much better than last year also. If you liked 22 you’ll like 23 even more.
Loading times are insanely fast and the AI is more of a challenge this year. My two complaints is on advanced entrances you cannot select any soundtrack songs, so no Ozzy or Metallica for your entrance and alternate attires that you unlock in My Faction is restricted to that game mode. Other than that I am having a blast with this game.

Even the XBox One version is worthy imo. I know the graphics aren’t perfect but the game is great. And , one day when I eventually upgrade my system, I have the Series X version as well. Great new game and I’m excited to see what they do next.
Xbox one version runs like crap! if you play royal rumble, chamber or war games, it slows down to a rubbish 25/30 FPS

All I need to know is if MyRise is deeper than last year. Last year was an absolute let down
MyRise is more story based and you don’t need to do EVERYTHING. I did The Lock and it only took me around 6 hours

@FredFredFaz that sounds terrible. Seems like they're charging 90$ for what could have just been updated in a big patch on 2k22. This game while it may be an improvement has only seemed like a waste of money.

This game is very underwhelming. I shouldn’t be surprised being a die hard nba 2k dude but this is basically the same game as wwe 2k18 which was the last one I got. No detail added to the stadiums, ramps, presentation like something as simple as saying undisputed championship defense vs just one title popping up. These gaming companies don’t care especially 2k!
For me must take 7 out of 10 not 8 because there is error in chowcase mode after I do the asked move it still ask me to do it I don't go to the next thing
I don’t like how the superstars roll out of the ring after you beat them up. Also, I don’t know why they took out stunning and rolled out of the ring part in triple threats and fatal, four-way they get right back up. It makes those matches really messy.
I'm actually glad they took that out. There were times I'm just stunned outside the ring laying there hopelessly and I lose the match because I can't get up to stop the pin. Lol
I used to play it when i was younger never was a butten master lol is it worth it if i buy it as basically a beginne??
Biggest problem I have is the servers are bad.

@@HolyManM9 facts, out of 5 online matches, only 1 made it past the opening minute, 22 had problems but not that bad…beautiful game but man that was frustrating…we even ditched the created wrestlers thinking it would make a difference, nope
My first wwe game was 2k20 which really put me off of buying the next and I haven’t watched wwe in years so is it still worth getting because the gameplay looks fun but I don’t know most of the people
It is definitely worth it mate.I picked it up on xbox one preowned at gamestop for $20. It's well worth it, but I mainly play the "my gm mode"

How the loading time to get a match 2K22 has a loading screen taking forever?
I'm planning on getting this game because Thuganomics has me sold. I'm wondering if they re-added certain moves from previous games though.
- Can we do a springboard hurricanrana on an opponent placed on the top rope?
- Are running moves in the Carry positions back? (Buckle Bomb from the powerbomb position?)
- Is the environmental attack on steel steps back? (Powerbomb onto steel steps from the Carry position?)
- Can we stack a table on top of another?
- Place a steel chair under/on an opponent lying down?
- Wedge a ladder in between the top and middle ropes in the corner?
I consistently did these things in 2K18 (except wedging ladders, that wasn't in 2K18) and was very disappointed to not see any of these features in 2K22.
The new pin system is cool, but they failed to bring back the analog submissions and kept that stupid button-mashing mini-game that kills my immersion. Locking in the Walls of Jericho in 2K18 was great against the AI and wasn't an instant win in Online modes just because the opponent has a red limb.

I'm sorry, I'm not hating at all and plan on getting 2k23 eventually but all the new improvements on 2k23 are things that could have been added into 2k22 through path updates. I feel like this year we got sold the exact same game as last year with just a few brand new updates

It would be nice if on Xbox they did like a 10 hour trial so I can at least try it out even if it’s a trial version just to see if I like it or not. The fact that they don’t put any 2k wrestling games on game pass/trial is very saddening
Great idea
This is a flat out fun wrestling game with a healthy feature list and the simulation aspects and small improvements are actually the biggest changes this year.
This is one of the best WWE 2k games to date in my opinion
WWE 2k23 is much better than WWE 2k22 in my own opinion. Improved MyGM, 2k Showcase, CAW mode, Universe mode, and best of all fast loading times.
I hear this every year from wwe fanboys , every wwe game is apparently the best one

@@anaxemurderer5094 I'll be real with you, there's not a lot of new universe cutscenes and the showcase mode is lack luster do to know commentary allowed. It's noticable awkward. Like no loud crowd reactions either, think performance center match. People are just falling into the trap of hyping the shiny new toy up once again......
Now is it improved and still fun? Absolutely. Is it worth $70? Not really.... it's more a buy if you really like wrestling. If you can wait wait.

I've had the game since 3-day early access and have not been able to play online at all, literally not once. Servers are complete shit. Just putting that out there for anyway looking to buy this game.

We still can't stack tables on top of each other anymore. They had 1 year to put that back in. This is just sad. They'll put that back in later in the next release call it a new feature. 😑
I’d advise anyone thinking about buying the game to wait a month or two. I say that because the game just came out and has MANY bugs/broken components. Such as Create A Arena being weird & Create A Entrance previews not working. Just wait until after Mania or just from April-May.

It's worth it. For people who don't know 2k wasn't allowed to do all the fun things smack vs raw was able to do because they had to rebuild the whole format from yukes, when yukes departed from wwe2k19. And they don't have the code for all the stuff yukes left. So they have to either figure out the codeing or make they're own up from scratch. What I'm basically saying is 2k have to start all over from scratch so expect the games to get better each year because they will continue to build on what they have and people still complain

I’m playing on Steam and I’m happy to report the PC version is finally the definitive version. I’m coming from a PS5 from last year and this is much better.
I agree I'm getting pretty good performance at 4k and I modded my own soundtrack in and it's just so fun and clean I love it
Isn’t the PC version the last Gen equivalent though? So PS5 actually has better graphics?

@@DylanZ1201the “last egg version” on pc was a marketing thing for 2k22. The game would default to normal textures instead of high if you were playing at a resolution below 1440p. But feature and performance wise it was the exact same game. I owned both on console and pc. And for this year, the lead dev was asked about that and he said something along the lines of “we build the game on pc first, and if you got high end hardware it will run like a high end game”. The pc version is the definitive version

Sounds like something that could been updated in 2k 22. I'm tired of the crazy price when it should be like 20 bucks for the amount that gets taken out in the new that was in the previous to add something else. Xbox review are NOT good! Many saying graphics are not great, mechanics are laggy, and they basically prefer 2k22 over this! Its basically same, with new John cena showcase and 1 new match "war games" so is it worth the extortion price of 90-100 dollars? NO.

Do not buy this game I repeat DO NOT buy this game. It’s missing so many features that 2k22 had. Universe mode is complete garbage. They don’t have show intro which is an important part of universe mode. They barely have any tag team victory animations especially the new tag teams like there’s hardly any new tag team victories. Gm mode still is complete trash. Mystory is awful and same for showcase mode. Just stick with 2k22 unless you want an updated roster but with severely less to do.

I’m not a wrestling fan anymore but I bought 2K 22 and I enjoyed it more than 2K 20 but it still didn’t really hit for me. I haven’t bought this game but it looks like I might have to.

Just like to add one more thing on WWE 2K23. I don't know is you know this this year it but politics into the games. It can get bans in China and Hong Kong. If the pass 2k game if you create a wrestler you pick country it comes for if you pick China is Hong Kong Beijing plus Taiwan in on it a one China. But now this year it use politics it have Midland China and Taiwan as a country.
