Making it my New Years resolution to create the 9 hole course by me on GSPro which was closed down a couple of years ago.

I did it on TGC 2019 and it was difficult but GSPRO design is way way more difficult. Maybe some one out there will build a front end to make it easier we can hope.

Ya I've built a few courses in TGC, with the tools available it really wasn't that bad. Was hoping the process for GSPro would be similar since I haven't bought TGC for simulating yet and I could crank out a decent course (that I'm familiar with), in just a few hours of work. GSPro sounds like its going to take minimum 5x the amount of work. Like just him alone saying that you have to place the trees yourself by the sounds of it, oof. Let alone removing shadows and such.

i tried years ago too. but to be fair, for the amount of work these guys put in is crazy. Taking out the google image shadows on the ground, etc. getting everything to align is just crazy amount of work. Love playing gspro and tgc

Great Video Mitch, TekBud is Awesome and his Course builds are mindblowingly good. It looked like you were paying so much attention to how he was explaining the process. Are you going to give it a go?

Absolutely not 🤣 It’s far too complicated for me - It would be better for everyone if I leave it to the pros!

Sorry I have had 5 mins to think about it, the 1st one was a total ball ache. but I'd still give it a go if I were you.

Where does the LIDAR data come from?

It’s available online. Not sure what the site is called ⛳️

I know you use the original Skytrac do you feel it's accurate as far as distance, direction and curvature? I am upgrading from R10 and looking at Skytrac original or the new plus. The problem is a almost new condition original Sktrac is $2000 less than the plus. Don't know it's worth it when most of my use is playing sim golf.

The original SkyTrak is very accurate 90% of the time in my opinion. Like all of the budget launch monitors, there are always some shots that aren't quite accurately represented. SkyTrak+ is a little more reliable but not 100%. If you want club data to help improve your game then go for ST+, if you wont appreciate or fully understand how to use the club data, go with the original SkyTrak to save money 👍🏼⛳️
