I think a lot of people come into tech with the misperception that it's all about code and the latest stack. Without skilled business analysts, UX designers, entrepreneurs, etc a lot of products would seriously suck. So to anyone thinking of getting into IT, don't freak out thinking you'll have to learn a new programming language every 6 months. Dive a little deeper. You may be pleasantly surprised 🙂
Hi! I'm under 18 and I'm not sure what I'd like to do... I choosed subjects on the litterature field because I wanted to be a teacher but Now I'm thinking of going into MIS or something related to tech. Can you apply to a university even if you don't have any math or computer course?
What math did you have to take? Did it work out? I’m debating between MIS and CE/CS because I am not too too good at math and I’ve heard MIS isn’t as math intensive
@@aury6093 calc was the highest however dont be too discouraged because theres a lot of ways to get tutor or help! I worked in groups all semester and it helped a lot come test day
What is the interview process like for business analyst roles with excel/python/sql like? Do they make you do a problem during the interview like tech interviews would?
What is your job title if you don’t mind sharing? I’m thinking about getting into Computer Information Systems and I would like to do the type of work you do.
As someone who wants to have a career in marketing and advertisement but not nasesarily graduate with those degrees would MIS be a good choice for me? Especially that I'm still open to other buisness related career options?
Thank you, since you dived in the MIS program, I will be taking INFO331, for my BA, in Business Management, and the upper level courses all focus similarly on what is appropriate for the curriculum. Is there a tutor, or site you would recommend to get me started on understanding what Management information systems is? Thank you for the information, Kimberly.
Almost done with a bachelor’s of applied science with pm and mis minor. I have an opportunity to switch to a bachelor’s arts business administration with major pm abd mis but torn in which one would be best
I wanted to take MIS but my school only offers it to student on campus since the campus is out of state I go online they have CIS online but it's competitive to get in but I was looking into getting a degree in business administration with a minor in data science is that a good route
Really? I'm considering studying this and I need the honest truth about it. I already have a diploma in software engineering and was thinking this will give me a broader range of career options. Would you recommend it?
@@abigailokoiobuli8945if you have experience in software engineering forget about this degree, you have the relevant experience. All you need to do is network and find a higher role, and you can prove it with your professional experience
@@abigailokoiobuli8945 The economy in Tech industry has been shut down for awhile now due to Tech recession. That’s why It’s really hard for grad students to have a interview/job right now because most of companies in Tech only recruit candidates who have experience.
Lot's of people that have Computer Science, Engineering, and any other decent degree that are actually worth a damn can't find jobs right now. Just cause you're not succeeding doesn't mean that'll be the case for everyone that pursues this degree.

Get an A+ certificate and apply for help desk jobs
Is it considered a quantitative degree?
how would you describe the difficulty of your major.
Easy peasy

i heard you have to travel a lot and may have to work upwards of 70 hours a week with this major. is that true?
If ur in certain careers like consulting that can be true but if you are a software engineer it usually isn’t.
This degree is BS, I just graduated 4 months ago and haven’t even got a single interview
