Thank goodness you have the financial abilities to rent and feed yourselves, unlike many "tubers" who rely exclusively on the support of others pockets. Just a bit of a break from the "grind" of your daily lives visiting and meeting folks in some of the best locations in the world! Hang in there you will be home soon.

The people of Figi are some of the nicest and most friendly people I have ever met. It is a shame you are in isolation. as there is so much to see and do on the island. We rented what they called a motorcycle and I described as a small scooter in Lautoka to travel the coast to Suva and back. We loved the market in Nadi, the Jungle villages and the amazing archetecture in Suva. Our trip ended when our rental scooter blew up outside the thatched hut village of Navutu with the fantastcly nice people. I do hope they lift the quarantine to give you the opotunity to visit the areas people as well as get you back to your boat home. Thank for the Sunday coffe videos.

The commonality of everyone across the planet is striking. Self isolating shrinks the world down one’s own space. Then seeing you in Fiji is so relatable everything starts to expand. “Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well.” Take good care.

Have loved watching you both and your adventures for some time now. Over twenty years ago I did an eleven day sea kayaking trip paddling between mostly uninhabited islands out of Ha’apai and some time in Fiji... great area of the world to be marooned. Actually if you had made it back to Tonga you may have been in the water during that cyclone and possibly had much bigger problems. If you currently have access to all your videos then, with the creativity that we know you both have, all you need to keep us entertained is literally at your fingertips. Suggestion: instead of sharing your multitudes of adventures, temporarily switch to topics that are found in multiple or even most of your videos...even back to RV days. Like progression of your daily routines, cooking and meals, your video and RUclips techniques and equipment, your approach to planning...daily and long term. I’m sure you have enough “footage” to even do one on your hair styles and how they’ve worked out. Good luck and please keep entertaining us....thanks. Most of all stay healthy.

I completely understand your frustrations and questions, I think we're all facing them, some, much worse. Jason, if you had not left the boat I can already think about some of the many regrets you would have had. Why didn't we leave and connect with all those people we love when we had the chance, I wish we had taken Cleo to a beautiful calm place to live final days instead of dying in a crate on some leg of the trip, and let Singa enjoy hunting and exploring and snoozing instead of being stuck in an apartment for a month. You made the right decisions. So you would be with the boat.............then what. So many ports are closed. Where are you going to go. You made the right choice just by instinct. As for the kitten, thank you so much for helping out a rescue, I'm involved with one and all those fosters are incredibly helpful to them especially right now. Remember, in a few years you will be sitting at anchor thinking " Oh yeah, I remember that.....ok, so what's for dinner?"

Your (you two) 'Tough Minded Optimism' is always refreshing to me. In the face of severe adversity you both resort to rational, logical and reasonable while doing the math and respecting each others emotions. I fully agree with Jason's sentiment at the beginning, 'what if we hadn't left our home...' and the 'what if' is recognized as invalid. I refer to the 'woulda', 'coulda', 'shouda's as fantasy thinking fairy-tale belief in problem solving. Nothing of this thinking pattern is real. Your both right on the mark with focus on health, each other and the goob smacked beauty of the place your in. Be well and thank you for sharing your healthy way of being alive.

@@SailingDoubleTrouble the market in lautoka is huge and it gets so crowded there's so many people that densely populated I think that's what the government was so afraid of the covid-19 spread in that kind of environment so fast. When you got so many that crowd into cabs and buses it's just a bad situation if the corona were to outbreak. Fiji got lucky they locked it down just in time and they were able to trace those few that were on that one flight all it takes is one super spreader just one person and it would have been all over for that little Island. A lot of the spread in New York City was from that one person that infected over 100.

If you get bored it's worth the trip. They actually dredged it out built a harbor it's still part of Viti Levu. About 12 minute drive from that market.

Well to tell you the truth the Big Island viti Levu is not all that pretty looking but there are other areas that look more tropical In sigatoga. The Tropical Paradise is on the smaller islands like musket Cove etc. Not allot of white sand beaches on Viti levu.

So happy you noticed that Mark. This beach is called Wailoaloa which the locals told us means 'black water'. It's not that it's dirty water, there are just a lot of river outlets that dump into this muddy bay...so it does remind us of places like Galveston, TX too.

@@gonewiththewynns I grew up in the Chicago suburbs. We would go to Lake Michigan, which was clean and clear. Most of the suburbs around Chicago use it for their drinking water. We moved to Houston and lived there for 2 years. Everybody ranted how we needed to go to Galveston and the ocean, and how neat it was! I couldn't help but think what a sewer! The water was dirty, the sand was dirty Brown, and at the time had clumps of oil from a recent oil spill. Someone had explained that Galveston was like the toilet bowl of the Gulf of Mexico, and everything washed up on shore in Galveston. I was not impressed!!!

They would need someone to sail her out, meet a sea, and then sail wear?
The boat would have to be provisioned for at least a month, then find a deserted island.
That doesn't even include not having your passport stamped when leaving.
      They are stuck.

For many years I eschewed the credit card thinking that having it implied that I could not pay for what I was buying. Then there came a time that I would have to rent a car and you had to have a credit card to rent the car.

While many provincial parks in B.C. are now open for day use, officials are still discouraging unnecessary travel. That's BC, in other parts of Canada are beginning to re-open, Canada may not open the border due to the fact that there are too many deaths along with the border towns, Canada does have a vaccine underway, Halperin said it's expected the first study using fewer than 100 healthy volunteers between the ages of 18 and 55 will likely get underway within the next three weeks and participants will be followed over a six-month period. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau confirmed approval for the vaccine studies on Saturday, as he also announced that the Canadian Red Cross would be getting $100 million in federal funding to help it support Canadians through the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as future floods and wildfires.
While some Canadians are not happy with his shopping list, which is extensive and expensive I agreed with him, we needed to fund these things, Canadian seniors are only getting a one time $500.00 top-up. and the welfare system some hospitals have been strained even more so back east. While most want life back to normal, what is normal? Is the dryer, we can choose our setting at how to be happy during a pandemic.
