  • In samba the Caixa is the motor of the groove. In samba-reggae the Caixa has the same function with different rhythms. This is a lesson about how you can play caixa in samba-reggae or afro samba. I explain it in slow tempo, so it is easy to follow. Enjoy the lesson!

    The last one (Oxossi) is actually nearer to the rhythm for Iansa, which is the basis for the afro pattern, but that is oral tradition for you...

      Michael de Miranda it would be the quick succession of blows with both hands filling the value of a note.
