You can see the improvement of a „normal“ talented horse to a PRO 👍🏻🙏🏼 I know Carl personally and he isn‘t only one of the nicest guys I know but a real horseman and to me the BEST DRESSAGE RIDER in the world. Just one proof is what he made out of Barney (NIP TUCK) thanks to the FEI TV for this clip 🙏🏼❤️ 🐴
And if you watch his stable tour video, he designed the entire barn with the wellbeing of the horses in mind. They only get tacked up by the arena so they know that the stall is a relaxing space, they get turnout in big grassy fields, and the horses can touch eachother through the stalls so they can socialize.
Just an amazing gentleman. The best thing to happen to British Dressage. I wonder which 2 gave this a thumbs down? Isabel Worth and a lonely fan maybe? :)
3:39 I understand that horses normally chew their bits and foam at the mouth to a degree, but is this much foam normal? It’s literally flying all over Nip Tuck’s chest. Honestly confused.
It's a normal physical reaction to being engaged with the bit. Good dressage foam will make the horse look like he's got white lipstick on his lips. If it was stress foam, the horse's mouth would be gapping and his tail would be constantly swishing from discomfort.
I just don’t get why he spent so much time on a horse that was never going to be the top of the top. Had he spent as much time and effort on a more talented prospect, he’d be much more successful
The fact that he could compete this horse to this level is an amazing feat, not everyone always takes the easy road and Carl admits having an unusual bond with this horse. I admire him as a master rider and he has helped change the face of dressage the world over.
@@charmainlee6618 yes, but one just wonders how much bigger his impact could have been if sustained by a solid repertoire of wins on the biggest stages, which would probably have been the case had he invested the same time and work in a more talented horse

One tends to forget how much Nip Tuck achieved. Thanks for the reminder.
!He did so well with this horse! Just never gave up on him!! ...

Honestly confused.
If the horse is sweating and something is rubbing on it, it will foam. If you have your own horse and he/she is sweating you can rub it and it’ll foam
It's a good sign he foams from the mouth
Normal, but not necessarily ok.

@Lili Schönherr yeah but he was always top 7 or something, never within Medal chances at the big competitions
@Lili Schönherr not really, he never placed at the Europeans, Worlds and Olympics

Maybe Carl just plain enjoys the horse!
