    Yes, George Harrison did the right thing. If for some reason he did the opposite, Dhani would not have been interested in music. Second reason would be that Julian was the oldest and George had to watch him grow up without a Normal dad and constantly being shadow by his fathers past. This ALL makes perfect sense.

      Что касается предложения собрать детей Битлз для совместной работы над музыкальным проектом.... К сожалению,это будет просто встреча людей,носящих фамилии своих гениальных родителей. Ни один из них(,к сожалению),по таланту даже не рядом со своим отцом. Достаточно неплохо выступил Джулиан со своим альбомом Валотт ,но с тех пор ничего ,равного по силе так больше и не появилось. Есть такая поговорка : " На детях гениев природа отдыхает"....Наверняка,они все замечательные люди...но они НЕ Битлз....

    All of us have only our experience and faith to go by. How deep both of these are tends to cause us to make our kids lives better if we can by shielding them from hurts or giving them opportunities we never had and mixing this with the best moments we remember. None of us do it right because we are merely human but love given purely continually unconditionally usually conquers all. It did for me for a very long time

      That was when they were 13, 14 years old and because John asked for a guitar player. They were friends. John was the leader until 1965, when Paul started taking over control of the group. Listen in "Beatles bloopers" how he treated George. Nobody had to thank nobody because the four of them made The Beatles.

    • @nonrepublicrat
      @nonrepublicrat 15 дней назад +1

      George was supposed to be grateful for what??? Being in a group that suppressed his talents and didn't respect him. George should have walked out long before he did and be free of those two super selfish and arrogant assholes. YOU WERE NOT THERE, and do not know all that happened, so I suggest you keep your ignorant idiotic opinions to yourself.

  • @user-gz9dv9oh9o
    @user-gz9dv9oh9o Месяц назад

    George basically gave up being a musician, guitarist and rock star because he knew he couldn’t compete with John, and especially with Paul. He was very lucky to have all the fame and fortune that was bestowed upon him due to the efforts of John and Paul, yet that never stopped George from trashing them publicly, as he was jealous of them. He didn’t financially need to work again, so he chose not to. I don’t find him particularly admirable.
    This video ridiculously makes it seem that George had to choose between his career and his family. Nonsense, he could have done both if he wanted to. Most people manage to work and raise their families. George only had one child and he had unlimited financial resources, so he could have hired as many nannies, etc. as he wanted to. If he wanted to quit the music business, that’s his prerogative, but don’t make it seem like it was a choice he had to make for his family.

    • @paulhoward6158
      @paulhoward6158 Месяц назад +4

      Wow, I'm so glad that you wisely set us straight. It's lucky for George that John and Paul did everything for him, especially writing and producing all the great songs on All Things Must Pass. George could have stayed home and baked bread like John.

    • @lylecampbell9036
      @lylecampbell9036 Месяц назад

      He made the choice to be there vs hiring nannies as you suggest. At least he did this. Lennon wasn't even there for the birth of Julian.

      @@lylecampbell9036 you’re right, that raising your kids yourself is far better than having the hired help do it. My real objection is that this video created a false choice that George supposedly had - he could either raise his child himself OR have a career, but he couldn’t do both. That’s just nonsense, he could have done both, most people manage to, and most people have more than one child and don’t have George’s financial resources. George could have had the help, not to mention his wife, help out in raising the child, though of course, I’m not suggesting George need not involve himself. But this video strikes me as an excuse as to why George gave up his career, as I think he had other motivations for doing so. Look, it was his life, ultimately he can make whatever choices he wanted to regarding both his family and his career.

      @@paulhoward6158 ATMP was a wonderful album, but it also had a lot of filler on it, including the entire third disc, which is nothing but a jam session. We also didn’t need two very drawn out versions of isn’t it a pity, it just takes up too much record time. Many of the songs on ATMP were written by George during his time with the Beatles, while he was under the guidance and mentorship of John and Paul. They were only the two best song writers in the world, so George being around them helped George develop as a songwriter. Did you not notice that the further removed in time George got from the other Beatles, the worse George’s song writing became? Ringo’s outstanding drumming, Paul’s innovative bass and George Martin also all contributed to George’s songs. Once George lost that entire support structure, he regressed.

    • @user-gz9dv9oh9o
      @user-gz9dv9oh9o Месяц назад

      @@paulhoward6158 one more thing- George did not produce ATMP - Phil Spector did. And quite poorly, which is why George years later wanted to revisit this album to cut down on the wall of sound of Spector, which often overwhelmed the vocals, instruments, and the songs in general on the album.
