I am just always amazed how different ink can react with certain pens and paper. It's the fun of trying to discover the perfect mix of pen, paper and ink. I appreciate your videos and sharing your thoughts and it always gives me ideas about my own pens. That's what makes this hobby so fun, that not everyone will understand. But of a few of us "get it"
Finishing this video whi;e journaling and 3D printing, and I finally bought Viceroy Butterfly orange. This may be the best orange ink I have used - thanks for showing it on your channel
I'm so glad you got to try it - it's a great orange! Thanks for watching, I couldn't believe that what I thought was short would still be 50 minutes for 20 pens.
I just love the rainbow of colors. It makes me so happy just looking at it. I really need to order some samples of the purples and a gold. You have such a fun collection of pens.
i also broke the end cap off of an Opus 88 pen and i was able to use tweezers to twist the piston rod a bit so that the plunger would stay open and the ink would flow. then i was able to screw the end cap on just a bit, but couldn't close it completely. so i could still use the pen, but not close the plunger. not ideal, but i loved how the pen wrote so i wanted to continue using it. hopefully you can get yours replaced or fixed.
I also broke the rod in my Opus 88 Jazz the same way, rolling off my desk, and use narrow tip pliers to to keep the ink flowing or close it as needed. So far, so good, have used several different inks. I just love this pen! Would be interested to know if You can purchase replacement parts
Contact Opus direct. They are amazing - replaced my pen due to a health condition which affects my grip causing me to drop & crack the cap! FREE OF CHARGE! They were incredible and replaced the entire pen for me free of charge, not even postage! They will truly go above and beyond! Cannot recommend them enough and I adore their pens (I have 6). x
I think that I'll go hard on samples for light and shimmer inks because I want to eye dropper Wancai Minis with Parallel nibs and I don't need more ink than a sample for that.
Haven’t even watched and laughing already about the title. I may mention in my next video (not up yet) that you should create a #overinkingisunderrated sticker, hahaha!
I got a Sailor KOP this year and didn‘t expect it to be so huge… 😂 Comparing it to my one Pelikan M800 I would also prefer the Pelikan, but it has an EF nib which writes very fine, so I‘m not reaching for it often.
Two thoughts on your Ambrosia: try a new cartridge as re-used cartridges can develop air leaks or get a new nib. Goldspot has them; it is the entire unit so it just unscrews. I have three Ambrosias and they all work beautifully. I know you may be done thinking about it though.
Hello! They do have an issue with evaporation but they recently improved the packaging to have a silicon thingy in the cap. But I'm not sure if retailers already have the inks in the updated bottle so I would hold of buying a bottle for now.
Sadly, despite the Pilot Custom 823 being an almost perfect pen, I have decided to part ways with it for a non-vac fill model. I am too forgetful to open the knob, close the knob. All of my "too light to write" inks are going away this year if it kills me.
My Vinta inks are still hanging in there, I don't notice any evaporation, but I keep them in a drawer and away from light, so I am sure that helps. I've had them for about 4-5 months now.
Different from Seemownay, I find the KoP similar but softer, smoother, bouncier and larger than other Sailors. Still, they are so expensive that I can't recommend buying one without trying it out first.
In this video, the ink doesn't bleed because it is Cosmo Air Light which is thicker than Tomoe River Paper. The ink pad I used is Versafine in Onyx Black. The only ink I know that won't bleed through TRP is chalk ink which can for instance be found in the Versa Magic ink pads. amzn.to/4a0rAG2

Apparently, you can request new caps from Vinta? Inkdependence Mike did.
I'm so glad you're having fun with parallels!

I do not own a yellow or gold ink, so now I'm going to get the wearingul star spattered - so pretty!

I have several Vinta inks and although great colors, ink does evaporate from the bottles. Thanks for your video!
I’ve had two bottles of Vinta ink, both shimmers, completely evaporate on me, and now am hesitant to buy any more. Beautiful selection this month!

You should make a video about all your smoothest pens!

Lots of lovely colours!
Ahh! Je ne savais pas que tu parlais français! Super❤ J'aime ton style de vidéo! Bonne année🎉❤
This is about the extent that I can understand.
Wasn Scheiss, ey!

I'd be interested in that KOP if you decide to let it go
I think I have decided that I want to let it go. If you want to send me an email seemownay at gmail dot com, we can chat about the details.
This is close to what I do. I have 20-25 pens inked (usually), but put the ones I'm currently using into a Rickshaw/Sinclair case.
My Vinta inks are still hanging in there, I don't notice any evaporation, but I keep them in a drawer and away from light, so I am sure that helps. I've had them for about 4-5 months now.
"Parallel" :)
I've never tried a KOP. I'm not sure if I would like it?

Also, my sister is a Chinese speaker and she says wan-tsai. For whatever that's worth. I still have trouble saying it. Ha ha
Always good to get info from an actual expert.
Hi there! What ink do you use for your stamps that don’t bleed??
