This is one of the most beautiful things I've heard this year.
I love their style of making music that doesn't sound like every other duet.
I found this song December 7, 2023. My father's birthday is the 8th, and I haven't seen him in almost ten years. I don't know why songs come to people like this, but it was the cathartic kind of pain I think I needed today of all days.

For me, it was always about a codependent relationship that ended up badly (can be romantic or platonic). When she says that the person can live they own dear life normally without her but she just can't let they out of HER life... man that's one of my favorite parts. 😭 Also "I'm drifting in the same old boat with a different crew" can mean that she still stuck in the same old life while the other person has already moved on. Idk man for me she longs for that friend/lover and want them to "come home" (come back to her). Sorry for the long answer it's because I really like this song
