The way RS says "Baby Jane" is the magic of this song. The feeling is well expressed in these two words, the perfect mix of sadness, disappointing and melancholy. Why and how you could do this to me, Baby Jane.

It was one of the few albums I had never heard until the early 2000s, and I’d been a huge Rod mark growing up in the 80s and 90s. Camouflage was the first album I ever heard (in 1987, a few years after the fact). When I finally heard Body Wishes, I was shocked at how good it was. But I’m an odd one…I also think Never a Dull Moment blows Every Picture Tells A Story out of the water, and I love all of his albums until Human (except the 86 album, which I think is his worst album ). Body Wishes was mostly brilliant IMHO , and it’s also the last of his mid-period vocal style that he started using on Atlantic Crossing (there were traces of it on Camouflage but not as much).
