Excellent explanation of hydrangea types. Love Endless Summer varieties. I live in Northern Indiana. I get full west sun in front of my home. I planted my endless summer in front and will water as you stated.
Sonny You explained it so well and convinced me to get back to get some more of these. They keep on giving without too many set backs. Gone a bit out of fashion but I get them back to be on the good side again, but than they have always had their place! Australia is not too far!
I just planted mine two weeks ago here in Zimbabwe eastern highlands they ar3 doing fyn n will reposition to avoid too much sunlight ..I love the hydrangea
I just planted a hydrangea I rescued from a garden center. It didn't come with a identification tag so I have no idea what type it is, it does have a bud the will open soon. We live in Eastern Washington in a pine and Douglas fir forest at 3700 feet. Clay and rock soul, cold snowy winters and a short growung season.
I love hydrangeas. That lace hydrangea look so beautiful. Awesome! Thank you for the info on how to turn hydrangea flowers blue. Can I make any white hdrangea blue? Feedback please! Thanks!
Have three bushes of hydrangeas which were planted 15 or so years ago. Bloomed well but now do not bloom. I live in Kentucky and the bushes are next to my house on the east side. They may freeze in the winter. Not sure why they do not bloom. I cut down two water maple trees in the front yard which may have given them some shade.
Hello to all I have a question about some hydrangeas the smaller ones I'm new to hydrangeas I'm going to be planning on soon but my question is those brown wood stick looking things that I've been reading about they call it would do you supposed to cut those off or away my neighbor has one that hasn't been kept up and it has a bunch of brown wood sticks look like Deadwood sticks you need to take away her as hasn't bloomed flowers in a few years but she don't take care of it but I was just wanting to know so I could play with hers ?????
"They bloom in June". Thank you! I was so sad because I read an article saying they bloom in mid April and my hydrageas are only sticks with lillte leaves on them. So I still have a month or two before the flowers appear 😁yayyy
Hello I have a question. I have 2 hydrangea plants they flowered only 1 year after I planted them, they are 5 years old and haven’t flowered ever since 😢 Any idea why? Thank you.
I guess the climate is too cold for them. They die and re-shoot every season, they bloom on old shoots and in your case, every season they produce new shoots
Damn it I want them in my wishing well, but it's in the corner of my garden so they won't get any sun until late afternoon. I'm keeping them in the container for now inside the well and will move if they start to wilt. Shame as there's nowhere else I can put them where they get morning sun only.
My mop head hydrangea is a beautiful, deep Tranzanite color. But, I can hardly see them. The plant is such that the blooms are hidden, from the branch bending ( flower head too heavy ?) I tried to tie it up, but it definitely strains the branch enough that it could pull and break. Any suggestions?
I bought a plant of hydrandgia two years ago and it is had to have him blooming. I propagated him by cuttings and it worked right well i got at least 96 percent success but the mother plant and the cuttings are not thriving. I live in New Caledonia, can I have some tips please. Thank you.
Watch garden answer. Laura has vids on hydrangeas. They are hardy but not too sure on extreme sunshine. I’m uk and they’re fine in my garden. Hope this helps

My father born in the very early 1900 had always said he would love to have hydrangea wallpaper

I enjoy the teaching.. will they bloom in hot Climate?
Know your zone. Endless Summer hydrangeas for example can survive in zone 9. Northern Florida.
Am from Trinidad i would like 2 no how u get d different colours ?
Very informative 😊🇨🇦
Are there any you can keep around 2-3 feet tall and still get the bloom?
I have some big leaf hydrangea. I just keep pruning it back every season. The size is about 3ft. I have blooms every year.
There are some smaller growing compact hydrangeas. Check out the ‘Let’s Dance’ series. Know your zone and see if these will do well in your area.

Are hydrangea able to grow in Miami Fl heat?
Is alluminum sulfate available on farm supplies? Or where can we buy it?
Very informative video
Hello,
Can hydrangeas be planted in a hot weather land ( i.e. Arabia)?

I have a hydrangea.....It has never bloomed after my original purchase. So frustrating......
Neither did mine, Ruthann Walker. I know how you feel.
Build a wire cage around them and put hay in to cover the hydrangeas. Will protect the buds from freezing during winter.
Be careful how you prune them because some of them bloom on the previous years dead wood and on new wood
Ruthann Wheeler I agree with you, I’m trying to get help from specialist, hope they’ll help me... good luck with you.

I hate hydrangeas, they always look messy and the flowers aren't as attractive to insects. I had one, but gave it away to someone.
