I bought both and am waiting for them to arrive. I love a good sandalwood. My favorite sandalwood fragrance is long since reformulated Samsara by Guerlain. My grandmother's fragrance house (for many years) was Guerlain. She worked on Wall Street and she would get dressed in these amazing suits and spray Samsara before leaving the house. As an adult, I've been trying to find that scent, but the fragrance has been reformulated like crazy since then.
I am so wildly impressed with these releases. Vanilla 28 has been my favorite Kayali since the start of the brand, and now I have to say Silk Santal has become my new favorite, with Velvet Santal ranking real high on that list as well. I adore them so much I bought a back up bottle of both, I don’t want to be without these!!! I sincerely hope Mona reconsiders and decides to make these permanent because these are SUCH stand outs from the brand!!
And we NEED at 100ml...heck a 200ml of Silk Santal. My poor bottle won't make it through July at this rate lol! I knew you would love 35 for sure, but so happy to hear 35 was a win as well!

I made a purchase & recently a sample of each fragrance. I love both of them. I splurged and bought both fragrances in the travel size & the 50ml. Absolutely worth the splurge. They layer beautifully. I'm looking forward to layering Velvet Santal with other fragrances in my collection. The Sandalwood adds depth without being overpowering.
I use a body oil after i shut the water off while my skin is still wet, then pat dry then use my scented lotions. The BEST body oil is Baby Dove sensitive skin care for melanin rich skin, its a gold label and gold oil, it smells DIVINE, and hydrates the skin so well!

They are BOTH so beautiful. But If I had to pick one, its 36. Sandalwood frags usually don't have that sweet feminine quality. This one is what I needed!

I just got my bottles today. These fragrances are GORGEOUS. I absolutely love them both! I will ABSOLUTELY need a backup of both! I’m truly hoping they will not remain limited edition…….I can’t imagine they won’t be a huge hit across the board.
Got mine today. Beautiful. Silk very pretty, fruity soft. Everyday scent. Velvet is intoxicating. The tea note, the sandlewood. Reminds me of A lighter version of Lovefest . Love them . ✨🥂👰

You hit the nail on the head girl! After a few hours of wear all I got was Vanilla 28 with the Silk Santal. I thought I was going crazy so I started looking on RUclips to see if it was just me (glad it’s not). Regardless it’s still a beautiful scent.

They are divine. I love my Kayali fragrance but so many of them are polarizing! I don’t think this will be the case at all with Silk Santal! It’s so freaking GOODT!

I've been looking for a creamy sandalwood that wasn't full of amber & spices, but not a linear scent, either. This might be it. I'm in NW Georgia, so I can totally relate to your weather comments. Thanks for sharing, just fyi Velvet Santal is made by the same nose behind the perfume Bois doré by Van cleefs and Arpels, it smells exactly the same except that velvet is a more diluted version of it, please, please try bois doré before commuting to buying a back up bottle of velvet, which is way pricer for what it is considering how soft it last, in a nutshell I would say that Velvet santal is the eau de toilette version of bois doré
I have a decant of Bois Doré and hated it Lol. They don’t smell at all alike to my nose. I am bigger fan of Silk Santal. I like Velvet a lot but it won’t be a repurchase.

Happy Birthday hun🎉. Now, when i saw the notes and the idea, i knew i wanted them both. I just received the 10mls today and after first sniff i have just bought the two in 50ml. Kayali is and has right up my street, unique, great for layering, not always beast mode. I love them both. Sill Santal gives me Vanilla 28 vibes with a beautiful twist, Velvet Santal is also right up my alley, its giving me burningfest cherry also with a beautiful twist. Im impressed. And sidenote: Kayali fragrances get better with time, let them sit for a bit and they will shock you. Yum Pistachio and Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchouli are doing wonders for me now its warm and they have sat❤

Been waiting on my favorites to review these. I got the 5oml of silk and the 10ml of the velvet to see if I need to get the full bottle. I had gotten a sample of the silk before it launched and i knew it was a go. So, I think Déjà vu white flower is too mature for me. Its beautiful but just too mature. However, I can smell the Déjà vu DNA in the silk santal but how it's blended.... its amazing. It also has some v28 DNA too. I can't wait to smell the velvet and velvet and silk layered.

So my favourite so far are deja vu white flower, pistachio gelato, vanilla royale, vanilla 28, silk santal and do not like pink pepper too strong 🤮 will try vanilla candy rock and feel I'll like it either after deja vu or pistachio. Want to try elixir and sparkling lychee. The santal was lovely but lasted only a few hours unlike the first three. I love having the 10mls and mixing them weekly. Bet Huda makes family only fragrances that no one else can have, that'd be cool 😎

I was just about to buy a full bottle of Pistachio (as my travel size has macerated, I have grown to LOVE it), but then these two newies were released. Now I am torn. Do I blind buy a full bottle of Silk because it's limited edition and hold on the Pistachio? Or do I buy travels of the Wedding collection and a FB of Pistachio. Damn Kayali. You are just too good.
Haven’t worn Yum in a month or so and pulled it out today. Wow was it much stronger lol! Definitely getting better with time, though I’ve always loved it.

It can go with the lotion but it’s not the same. The perfume is more sweet. I feel like the Sugared Patouli would go better.

If you love sandalwood I can'r see you not loving these. 36 is the more feminine of the two. But both I can easily wear.

Yes, I agree...getting the DNAs of other Kayali perfumes, but so well blended and so good. The layering combo is just sandalwood magic on me!

So my favourite so far are deja vu white flower, pistachio gelato, vanilla royale, vanilla 28, silk santal and do not like pink pepper too strong 🤮 will try vanilla candy rock and feel I'll like it either after deja vu or pistachio. Want to try elixir and sparkling lychee. The santal was lovely but lasted only a few hours unlike the first three. I love having the 10mls and mixing them weekly. Bet Huda makes family only fragrances that no one else can have, that'd be cool 😎

If you only wanted to start with one, try the Silk Santal. It's sooo beautiful!

I was just about to buy a full bottle of Pistachio (as my travel size has macerated, I have grown to LOVE it), but then these two newies were released. Now I am torn. Do I blind buy a full bottle of Silk because it's limited edition and hold on the Pistachio? Or do I buy travels of the Wedding collection and a FB of Pistachio. Damn Kayali. You are just too good.
Yum is beautiful after macerating and in the warmer months, i have been enjoying it
Haven’t worn Yum in a month or so and pulled it out today. Wow was it much stronger lol! Definitely getting better with time, though I’ve always loved it.
