You do know when you purchase stuff from foreign country's like China you are part of the problem that is ruining US economy. Plus China is a communist country.
Thanks for sharing. I've been doing this for years with elastic bands. I've upgraded to bracelets and earrings recently. I've created various looks. The elastics can shorten clothes much better and you can place several of them all over. Great ideas. Blessings
@@mariamendoza1588 I would use bangles. Those clang-y things you slide on and off your arm. I think she said she uses metal, but you can use wood or sturdy plastic, as well. And then elastic hair ties.

I just came across this channel and happened to watch for a minute, and then the whole video because I thought exactly the same thing! What a cool tip to make clothing more tailored looking without sewing, and not making it so tight that it becomes immodest. Very flattering and super helpful!
@@TheModestFashionistai second that comment..i liked listening to you as you dont start waffeling about how great you are to be doing this! Many others use youtube to get their face and opinion out there!
I over your video. You are so natural and your poses are more realistic than the ones who pose like models. I find they over do it. Your style is simple, elegant and clever. Thank you.
Using buttons and coins is a great idea for smaller adjustments ! Thanks.. Putting it in the front , to one side of the waist also makes a loose blouse look more stylish..
My pastor's wife widens a shirt by turning the shirt upside down, then putting your elbows inside of the shirt down to where your arms would go through and then stretches it out, and she does that a couple times. Also, do not dry the shirt that you need to widen in the dryer, ever. The dryer can shrink clothing.
Wow! Beautiful job taking regular outfits and adding the little something that instantly gives them more of a statement, could go from everyday to an office party instantly! You explain and talk so calm and nice, it is very easy to listen to everything you say, thanks!
For the first hack, that is super cool. In the 80's, they had these things that looks like a bracelet but except for it had a bar through the middle that went from one side of the ring to the other, and we used to wear them on our t-shirts as an alternative to tying up a knot in the t-shirt. They were super cool! I don't even know if those ring things had a name to them, but I sure do miss them. These days we could definitely use them to make our clothing more modest yet srylish.
Thank you for your comment. I know exactly what ring thing you're talking about! I've seen it on belts and used for scarves as well. I agree, that would be a great little tool for clothes in general.
I liked the clothing before the ring, but after was so nice. I dress modestly too and as a result some garments are mumueish. This is a game changer. Thank you so much. New subbie! Blessings
Girl I really love how that changed the green skirt, I’ve got several long dresses that I’ve YET to hem lol that this would work well for! I also love your modest style! Ladies remember all things of value are hidden deep in the earth, rubies, gold, silver, and diamonds are hidden deep in the earth! We are more valuable than those items. Look, it took me many years to learn this BUT men don’t need any help, they don’t need us going around dressing half covered and flaunting our bodies! That’s for our husbands and only our husbands. If you want to attract a man that’s serious then attract one that appreciates modesty. If he’s attracted to sleazy styled women, most likely, the man will always be attracted and drawn to that. These men usually cheat and are superficial by nature. JS so girl, keep up the great work! You’re a beautiful young lady and I appreciate your modest attributes…. After commenting, I go to your channel and discover the name!!! lol keep it up girl, we need this for todays women
This is beautiful! Thank you so much for your words of encouragement and truth. I really appreciate it and I'm glad to know others feel the same. I want to continue to show modesty in a positive light because of exactly what you described! Thank you again! 🥰
I have used a quarter with a small rainbow loom elastic band to hold sweaters, that don't have buttons, together in the front. Invisible! Been doing this for 30 years😂
That is an outstanding way to modify clothing. I found it remarkably brilliant. This is the first time I have seen your channel. Thank you for sharing this neat hack. I am going to try it. I was so impressed, that I subscribed! 😊
Thank you!!!! I sometimes see some cute skirts at the thrift store and they are for bigger people and this is going To change because now I will be able to buy them!! ❤❤❤
That is a very great idea, especially for a quick fix. I went to my brother's funeral out of state a couple of years ago and took along a skirt and sweater I hadn't worn for awhile. Since I had lost some weight, I didn't take into account how they would fit. I ended up using a hair tie to knot the sweater at the side to keep it from looking like I was wearing a burlap bag. It worked very well. Your idea is so much better looking, and looks like the garment was meant to have that feature. Well done on the idea and a great job demonstrating!
Wow, what a great hack, thank you. This is the first time you popped up in my feed, lucky for me 😊 I have many items that this will work great on. Ill be back !
I love this video! I have so many tops and dresses that are too boxy looking on me because I wear a smaller size bottom than top. I can't wait to try it.
So glad I came across this video! I have lost about 3 stone and most of my clothes are way too big now. I think you might have just saved me a fortune!!!
This hint has been a $$ saver for me, because I’ve been losing weight, and want to extend the wearing of my clothes as much as possible. I also found to use different size rings to vary the “uptake” in extra fabric. I use smaller rings in front just to give some shape to plain flat t-shirts.
Thank you so much I lost a lot weight my tops are big. I don’t own a sewing machine and don’t want to spend a lot on alterations, I will try this technique I hope I am as flexible as you!
Wonderful use of everyday items! Have you tried using them on the front of tops? Some tops are boxy or without darts and placing a ring on center breastbone slightly higher than bust OR slightly below bust, to create a more feminine shape? Perhaps repurposing the rings from keychains is right size?
Good suggestions. I might try these in a follow up video as others have suggested things too. Different sized rings would work well so a keychain ring could be an option.
Thanks, dear. I saved this to watch later cuz my eyes and head hurts right now. But I FF a little bit, and it looks like something I need to do. You remind me of one of my cousins!🕊️💜🙏

Shopping at temu is cost effective, but it's also misguided and irresponsible. Child labor, exploitation, intellectual property infringement, data misuse, the list goes on. China is a down-right adversary! Period. Would you shop at a neighborhood store owned by someone who steals from you and means you harm? 🤦🏽♀️Ppl refuse to have principles bc the prices are low.
Love all those ideas you presented. I always save those clear rings that come with scarves. Not sure if I'm supposed to take those too,or are they supposed to stay at the store, but i have a few!😮
Thanks for sharing. I have a dress that is too long and I was going to have it hemmed. I will try the earring and hair tie method first. Besides it’s less cost to do it that way.
I wear rings on my dresses but i like them on the outside of the dress it looks so good that way try it the hair elastic on the outside of the dress makes for a beautiful look like a pleated look.

amzn.to/3y61sei - You can get these round bracelets that match the larger sized ring I used. (2.75" diameter). I ordered a set and they're perfect!
What are they called to order what kind of rings?
