What many fail to recall, or maybe recognize, is that every black crusade had a goal. These goals were meet during every single crusade before falling back to the eye. It was all about preparing for the 13th black crusade. Remember, there is a reason it is called the long war by the forces of chaos. All the cards needed to be placed just right, for things to go the way they abaddon wants.
What in the tzeenchian copium kinda comment is this. Bro had 14 times to win 13 crusades, got mad and flipped the checkerboard with a blackstone middle finger. Tf outta here with that 'all according to plan' like.
I have a feeling that the “end game” of 40k will be hive fleet leviathan and Abaddons black crusade converging on Terra at the same time. You get an epic 3-way war for terra but then the Eldar and Tau come to humanity’s aid knowing that the destruction of humanity will leave them both vulnerable to chaos and Tyranids.
Roboute Gulliman then forms a permanent alliance with the Eldar and Tau in the wake of their victory at the battle of Terra. The Emperor dies during the battle but is reborn in the warp as a new God. He then battles the chaos gods in the warp. The triarchy alliance of Man, Eldar and Tau then fight a way cleansing Chaos from the galaxy when the final Tyranid Hive fleet arrives: Hive fleet Gargantuan. Gargantuan is the complete Tyranid race and it makes leviathan look like a splinter fleet. The whole galaxy is invaded from all sides by the Tyranids and millions of worlds and billions of lives are lost. Eventually the Tyranids are defeated and cease to exist as a species apart from small splinter fleets that escaped from multiple battles. In the wake of this, the emperor (now a warp god) instructs Roboute to lead an invasion into the warp. The triarchy alliance along with some Necron dynasties invade the warp and engage in epic battles vs the forces of chaos with the emperor.
Wouldn't work. The shadow in the Warp is a pretty strong counter to Warp nonsense and every person killed by the Tyranids is one less individual to power the Warp. Chaos does not want to destroy humanity, the Tyranids do. On the flip side, Ascension day pretty clearly shows that some of the best leaders the Imperium has are Gene stealers, making sure their food is safe. We even had the Chaos/Space Marine team up vs the Tyranids during the Desecration of Baal. The only faction that would work with the Tyranids are the Storm Lords followers, because the Necrons in general are uninteresting to the Tyranids and he's not interested in reversing Biotransferance.
The t'au and eldar will NOT come to aid the imperium lmfao, the t'au are taking the chaos in imperial space as a chance to expand and the eldar are only allied with them out of convenience
Even if Abaddon wins, I don't know if he will have much left of an army to crusade with, after having to engage 2 different fleets of similar size and power in quick succession.
This happens with any major chaos campaign should it not be vanquished/shattered/broken. In the aftermath of the 13th. Countless chaos forces broke off to try and seize portions of the imperium for their own little empires. Roboute came for them with a vengence, remarking they were like the marines after the heresy. A mighty force now disorganized and easy pickings
The grand total of his forces don't amount to all that much. People give the guy shit but somehow taking 13 tries to tear an Empire of a million worlds assunder is unimpressive? The guy was a regular Space Marine and in 11,000 years the combined forces of the Imperium of man weren't able to kill him, in spite of him frequently being on the front lines.
No The meme about him is that for every major victory the imperium always comes back with a vengeance, making all his progress seem like some dude from epirus at best 😅
This is sooo addicting! As good as the Horus Heresy is, the Black Crusades is equally exciting in my opinion. Awesome vid! Keep it going. These can't come soon enough!
That laser sound was the most distracting ear cancer ever. I have no idea what was said during those segments, and there's no way I'm ever going back to re-listen to it. 0.o Besides that, love the work as usual, just... no more laser sounds.
Talon of Horus is a great book to listen to on audible. Gives the origin of the Black legion and has you rooting for them. I'll be building my own black legion miniatures soon
amazing space combat, my suggestion is to lower the combat sfx to lower levels so we can concentrate on the voice. also, laser audio can be replaced by another more pleasing to the ears laser. And God i cant wait for more Wh40k content, keep at it !
Excellent video (as always) While this is focused on the Black Crusades. The prelude to it is missing. How Abaddon was found by Khayon, the binding of the Anamnesis to the Vengful Spirit, their scouring of Harmony, and the battle between the new Black Legion and Bile's 3rd legion with the clone of Horus.
If it takes thirteen tries to win than perhaps its time to be the subtle blade rather than a hedge hammer, which ironically was the thing that made him almost win in Cadia with his initial surprise attack.
Oh my god that whining laser sound effect is so hard on the ears. I could barely focus on what the narrator was saying during the fleet battle because of how frequently it was playing.

Sorry for getting off-road here, but the thumbnail of this video looks so similar to the StarCraft: Broodwar loading screen when you attack planet Korhal, it's absolutely insane 😂 I genuinelly confused Horus with a Command Center in the first plan and the desert in the background

I had been liking the new lore for Fail-badon in these past years since the opening of the Great Rift, rewriting Abbadon's many failed crusades as all part of a larger plan and making the pale copy of Horus a unique and compelling character in his own right, even making him less his daddy's "Yes Man" and actually tries to convince his Primarch to let go of Chaos and wage the rebellion as the Warmaster of old, not the puppet of the dark gods he had become. But sadly.... that was all ruined when the fire nation attac.... 😂 The End and the Death books ruined my new perceptions on the guy. For those who know, you know. I still recommend reading them. Freaking wretched, bald, yee yee a$$ Erebus.... Still love that yall are covering 40k, can't wait to see more!
I'm sorry, the old art was way, WAY better. Especially for the space view. The animations are nice and all but the artistic quality of the previous, 2D style was far beyond this.

Okay, folks...EPIC graphics! This is an AMAZING upgrade! 😎Incredible! 👍
Abaddon: The Black Crusade begins now!
(Thirteen tries and one retcon later)
Abaddon: NOW the Black Crusade Begins!
He is trying
Nerd
Edit: Abandon not you
Abadon is the dallas cowboys of warhammer "this is our year i swear!"
Good reference
He's Jerry Jones in almost every way.
Lol😂😂😂😂😂
That's what he wants you to think, dudes out there playing 5d chess and everyone else checkers.
He's like winning the bowl, followed by 3 decades of catastrophic failures
One of my favourite last words from sigismund is “You will die like your father did - Honourless. Weeping. Ashamed.
Stay tuned for the following episodes !
Whoever wrote that script really has a talent for storytelling and analysis. Hats off 👍
Thank you 😊

Some of the stories make me think that the Chaos never cares about "winning".
Keep watching. Abbi is full a surprises.
@@sotiriospeithis6659 Full of deus ex machina moves.

Thanks you guys!!!!! The Emperor provides!!!!!
This is very well made, I am excited to see more in the future.

First time seeing Warhammer video lore animated like this, hopefully I see more like this from you in the future
I'll literally watch an unlimited amount of 40k videos you guys make xD
More on the way !
Fantastic episode! It's wonderful to see WH40k having this moment in the sun.⚔🔥🛡
Talon of Horus is a great book to listen to on audible. Gives the origin of the Black legion and has you rooting for them. I'll be building my own black legion miniatures soon
Heresy!!!
Hmmm I’m seriously considering getting those books on Audible.
@jakewu8268 very worth it. Talon of Horus and now on to the sequel Black legion and they're very good. Narrator is great.
@iz9744 the heresy feels so right
@@NorscaWolves ehh, bunch of guys insecure about their receding hairline that get ridden by Chaos... So right🙂

One should avoid acting like a hedge hammer in general. The shrubbery giveth but it also taketh away
Except it was not thirteen tries, each Black Crusade had a wildly different objective
thirteen tries over the course of 10K years
Please calm down with the laser gun sfx, it really takes away from the experience when its this loud and repepitive.
13:30 terribly annoying sound effets and far too loud aswell

Would love some blood angels themed stuff
Your GOT videos are the best I'm so excited your doing Warhammer 40k now!!
The SFM style may work better with a stronger filter, hide the imperfections and let the viewer fill in the gaps with their imagination
The ship models look great!
I find the dorky expression in Abaddon's face quite fitting. I hope they update the model to look like that
Top notch animations !!
Love this animation
I love these as I'm not that knowledgeable on lore
Glad to hear it. More to come soon !
Thanks for the video!
Bro that lasers part made my ears bleed. Everything was spot on up until that part
nice videos, the animations are a good help in understanding what is going on
Thank you guys for another 40k video!

Great video, even you guys got Tacticus to sponsor
Love all the content. More 40k please
"corner of the cosmos" - the thing literally in the middle

love the videos. tho i am missing the Horus herecy style art. the 3d stuff feels Uncanny.
CA should use this map style for 40k Total War. Fleet battle to control space, land troops to claim planet
For the Emperor! Beloved by all.
That video was cool 😎
Thank you for this video, I'm just curious if you are planing to finish Horus Heresy or it will be finished in the whole horus heresy history video ?
I hear Nurgle is all loving.
May the emperor protect you brother
what do traitor astartes do during warp travel? play darts or basket or something?
Good video, but the droning laser sounds were a bit much in this one.
outstanding
Thank you
Abaddon is the equivalent of English football fans:
Sure, mate. It's "coming home" this time...
When will you make a video on the siege of Terra?
I feel as if Sigismund would know not to get into a melee here, with so little information + fewer ships compared to the Black Legion.
But...glorious duel in the void 😢
Watching this space battle while playing Gothic Armada 2
The warp ghosts... the mirror of the legion of the damned... where the damned legion shines with anathema, the warp ghosts are the abyss of the chaos forces....

lets go!!

Weren't they chaos worshipers initially?

10:21 so some of them do posses honor
Yes indeed. Many of them do, at least in as much as the Japanese soldiers followed their code of "honour" when they slaughtered civilians. I would advise reading the black legion books, they offer interesting perspectives on the chaos astartes beyond "mouahahaha, I'm evil"
Had Abaddon fought Sigismund at full strength it would have been a completely different outcome.
thx
Catch me? You ain't never gonna catche me, beibiiiiiiiii!
Ah yes, Essy-Kyle.
Feels like the episode got bogged down in details.
Closer to a audio book than documentary in parts.

will you do videos now only in this style the one befor was better in my opinion @WizardsandWarriors

A cliffhanger ? How dare you....
Had to stop video because laser pew pews triggered tinitus. I dont even have that condition.
Narration is great (as always) but the sound effects used in the space battle is really annoying, and lowers the quality of this video unnecessarily

Nothing was rewritten, black crusades having different objective has been canon in the codexes since the early 2000's
Hundreds of chaos worlds if not thousands all made up the decor territory of the eldar empire
if you guys need a better 3d artist let me know, i like the visualization's but the models were horrible.
i get the first ep models werent the best, but this ep is fine.
