I love this style of video-getting to see how you think through not just the design decisions but also the best (and safest!) way to go about realizing those decisions in the material. So enjoyable and informative! 💜

These are the kind of videos that I find most useful and informative, and the main reason why I would sign up for any woodworking channel. Thanks for doing this kind of video from time to time. I much prefer project videos to q and a videos.

Really great to see these longer in depth vids! Also nice to see you getting into CNC more too, it opens up a whole new world of possibilities. It doesn't replace woodworking, just another tool in the arsenal.

I thought the gaming bit was pretty funny, I’m in the shop working with a deadline rapidly approaching on a piece of furniture. Working hard but I have to go on my computer real quick to double check a measurement. Before I know it 2 hours have gone by and I forgot why I was even in the office in the first place.

I really appreciated the domino walk through. My wife surprised me with a DF500 a few months back and as you said a lot of people (myself included) think if it as a point and shoot tool, but there is so much more about properly setting up your pieces and understanding reference faces. Your explanation helped to demystify a lot of what I've been struggling with. Thank you! Oh, and the table looks amazing.

  • @kagillesp

Really well done video! Appreciate the explanations of details and discussion about why you made certain choices. Also enjoyed hearing your ‘rant’ on Instagram regarding the stats and cookie cutter dumbed down content. I miss the niche content that HGTV for example used to have and am interested to see quality woodworking and detailed content, not simply glossed over shorts of simplistic projects. I can appreciate the amount of work that went into creating a video of this length and quality; quality being the key descriptor. Thanks for the effort and for setting the bar for content creation high.

    Well done Marc, thank you.
I appreciate how you show the CNC router as an alternative tool to existing methods, thus not excluding those without access to a CNC. Every CNC operation (including cutting the walnut trim pieces) can be accomplished with other methods ... it just takes longer.
I also like you explaining the design process as well as all the steps involved in making each part of the project while keeping this video interesting.
    Regards,
    R

I like your focus on the set-ups in the project. Too often I see videos demonstrating a project build, with very little on the nut and bolts eg how do you make the templates? You showed many things that are usually left in the background. The set ups are the soul of woodworking and the more experts like you share your approach, the better the rest of us can achieve.
