My first thought was WOW You look so pretty! Love your hair! I like everything you chose to pack for your planners and it totally makes sense for the many responsibilities you have - family, writing, RUclips, etc. As I was watching your video, I looked around at my planner supplies. Other than the markers stash, I have most of the same items. I have my items on a planner cart - sticker notebooks, happy planner sticker books, washi, functional stickers in a pretty box, and favorite A5 & spiral bound planners, plus more….;). When you finally get settled, your planner cart will hold your current stuff!
All the ideas you suggest we might like to watch sound great. I, personally, love seeing systems, routines, etc. I am searching for planner/sytems/routines peace!

Considering how much you had in your office, how much you were using on a daily basis and what all you had, I think you did an amazing job packing down to the point where everything fit into two bags that take up about one suitcase area. So proud and impressed. I love this and can't wait to see what all you talk about for the notebook challenge.
Love the kanban board idea, so creative. I also love that you have a system that works for and you don’t want disturb it.

I loved seeing the planner bag in action. You were able to fit so much and it's really difficult to anticipate what you're going to need for an unspecified amount of time. It would be cool to see the tech you brought (tech nerd here as much of a planner nerd).
for what you do have normally access to in your office, I think you did really well.
Because of your videos I have started using planners! It’s been slow going but I’m getting into a groove. Also, I’m writing my first novel. Great to see a new video. You look fantastic by the way 🤩 thanks for sharing!
After about two months of remote travel work - this was pre-Covid- I ditched half the stuff I initially packed. You quick realize how little you need to live and work with on the road and while I was super stressed about keeping the systems and methods the same as when I had a home office, it just wasn't possible. Now that I'm grounded and back in a home office full time, some of my learned travel methods have stuck with me and increased my efficiency.

Personally, it doesn't sound crazy to me, I'm even impressed that you managed to "minimize" your gear because as far as I'm concerned, I never manage to restrict myself when I go on vacation.😅 I'm always thinking "I might need this" and sometimes I end up with stuff I never use. But on the other hand, I feel that if I hadn't taken it with me, I would have certainly needed it... 😅😅

Oh my! You pack like me!! LOL When we moved to Maui in March my carry-on bag was nothing but planners & stickers & markers!! It was so packed the luggage checkers flagged it to be inspected, & when the guy opened it he had such a look of shock!! My hubby pointed at me & said I couldn't leave my office stuff, so the guy laughed, shook his head, and zipped it back up. :) So much fun!! I really enjoyed your video, and I wanted to tell you that you inspired me to change how I plot my books! We are in a studio apartment so I have no room to put up a big wall plotting board, so I've adapted your travel folder kanban idea to make my plotting folders! I've got 3 folders, and each side is an Act, with an extra spot for listing my scenes for the novel! It's so convenient to be able to bring it out when I need it, then tuck it away when I'm not writing. I probably will never go back to plotting on the wall again! :) Thank you Sarra!!! As someone who has moved 20+ times, you’ve done a brilliant job of pairing your office down to “travel size”. And keep in mind, you’ve never done anything like this before. Thanks for sharing. Happy travels! PS- I don’t know exactly how the YT algorithm works. But, I’ve been putting on your previous videos, notebook challenges and How to Plot Your Novel and How to Write a Series, etc while I do housework to keep your channel “active”. lol
I would have packed more! You did well. Have to have what not only works but makes you happy! Love your attitude through this.

Also, if the suitcase handle of the bottom bag is metal, you could glue some magnets on the top flap so it sticks to the handle and doesn't keep falling down while you're using it

Hi Sarra! I am a very new subscriber, just started watching you a week ago. I have to admit, it is so much fun to see someone else get so enthusiastic about stationery. When I would look through my stash, I would literally feel so guilty and get icky feeling thinking I had way too much, and thinking what have I done. But you said it in this video…it brings me joy. So I am trying to use all my notebooks and you are giving me some great ideas. And … I love my notebooks. They remind me of empty novels that are waiting to be created. With pictures, paintings, writing, memories, thoughts, organizing, work, etc. If we were ever to meet, I would definitely show you my desk and all my supplies because I know you get it lol! So glad I found you…safe travels and I look forward to watching more videos!

I have a hard time with over packing, and I don't have a good reason, like work. With vacations I've made the rule that I have to be able to carry it all in one go to the car, or airport, and be prepared to walk at least a half mile with it. The problem is that while ON the vacation somehow I run out of space and wind up with an extra bag or getting my SO to carry some of my stuff... Life is a work in progress. :) Moving + airbnb hopping, that's like NFL.

I think you did a tremendous job pairing your items down. I also don’t think that you should worry about sending things off just yet. This is only the first leg. And your still getting adjusted.
Could you tell us more about the time tracker? Like you, I have multiple businesses and your time tracking device looks like it could help me. You always have the best advice. Wishing you many happy memories during your travels.

Good job lady! You did good squeezing and reducing everything down to just those bags.. It's not too much at all, this is integral to your work and business, besides being fun and pretty. I actually do want a video about your electronic time trackers, I've been toying with a few different ways to do it on paper and on my phone, so far I'm not satisfied, it either feels too loose goosy and easy to fail at or too intrusive and obsessive.
