This is my second Sonata with the 2.4 GDI engine. I have no issues with the power train.
I actually raced a buddy at work from 0-60 and beat his 2015 Cadillac Escalade. But just barely. About a car length.

Great video as usual, simple and straight forward... this for price or the Toyota Camry for the style? Idk!!!

Hey Chris. Great Review. Hyundai should have went with the their 8 speed auto just like in the 2018 2.0T models. It probably would have increased both performance & fuel economy.

I have the same car without the ultimate package. Got a great deal on it too.
But... I'm not sure I like that push button start. If a regular key was available I'd go that route.

When did you try it in your test vehicle? Did you just listen ti the radio or did you actually move the treble slider up and down... and you noticed a difference in the high frequency sound? I noticed there was no difference in my car and other new cars like mine (2018 Sonata Limited 2.0T). Also my sure that the car yoi test is the same as mine... not a Sport, because I have no idea if the Sport has the same radio as mine. I even made a test mp3 file at different frequencies, to play it. No change in the high frequency sound files when I moved the slider from -10 to +10. I think if a tweeter wasn't connected, it would sound much worse than what I'm hearing!

After checking with Chris, the 2018 2.0T was from the launch event we went to. He loves music and does adjust the EQ settings in every car he gets into, primarily listening to satellite radio or streamed music. Those cars were driven all day long, covering about 100 miles of roadways, but we haven't had a 2018 2.0T in our possession to test. Shouldn't the Infiniti radio be the same in this 2.4L Limited, as it is in the 2.0T or is it different? (We probably won't reach out to Chris again until tomorrow for the answer.) Sorry for the earlier mistake and we hope you're able to get things sorted out.

No, the radios are different in the 2 cars. Mine has the radio/GPS integrated into 1 Infinity unit. Thanks for the reply!

When is Hyundai/Infinity coming out with an update for the flawed radio in the 2018 Hyundai Sonata Limited 2.0T? The treble control doesn't work for the radio, not just in my car, but in ALL 2018 Sonata Limited 2.0Ts! The slider moves from -10 to +10, but there is no change in the high frequency sound, like there should be! The bass and midrange controls work fine, even though I would prefer the midrange center frequency to be higher, say 3kHz, it is too low in frequency now to do any good! I can't believe they haven't changed the midrange center frequency since the 2012... I had one of them, till it was rear ended by an 18 year-old girl, and they still kept the same center frequency for the midrange! The midrange frequency should alter basically the voice frequencies! However, my main issue is with the treble control not working at all! Infinity where is your quality control? Do you try out your products before you release them? Come on, get me an update so my radio will sound like it should! I'll bet there is no issue with treble control for the radio in the 2018 HONDA ACCORD!

Hi, J Trager. That stinks that you're experiencing those issues with your radio. In our test vehicle, we didn't notice any issues. In fact, that Infinity system has sounded pretty good in each of the cars we've experienced with it. We realize you said that all 2018 Sonatas with the 2.0T experience this, but have you had the dealer check your speakers that produce the highs (can't remember if the 2.0T has component tweeters or if they're in a 2- or 3-way housing) to make sure they're working properly? That's the only other thing we can think of on this end. Sorry to hear about your issues because we really like this car, including the stereo. Thank you for your comments.

I'm just glad Chris didn't refer to it as funky fresh and dope in the intro (word to your mom's).

Great car and video. I just disliked that horrid color combination of red with a gray interior.
