    Excellent record of water infrastructure. I didn't realise that was how it worked. Very intrepid exploration in this one. Not too scary but thanks for taking that cold shower just to provide us with a view from the perspective from the "plughole" overflow. Thanks Ant.

    Hi Ant I've seen this in a documentary on TV a while back always thought it was fascinating, but nobody actually filmed inside of it! Brilliant camera work. ❤😊

      if you're not already familiar with it, Patrick Dickinson has an interesting video similar to this on his RUclips channel. he explores the much larger ladybower reservoir plughole whilst the water level is normal, & returns at a later date to film it after some heavy rainfall. it is bloody terrifying to see it working at high water levels, & like this guy he provides great camera work & interesting commentary

    Going through that tunnel reminded me of doing cross country at school and having to run bent over through a tunnel that takes the river Doe Lea under the M1 at Stainsby except we had to do it in winter. Yes my PE teacher was a sadist

    Incredible of you to go right into the plughole Ant. I bet no one has ever thought of braving it through that falling water and then filming up through the shaft into blue sky. Well worth getting wet eh? A great achievement, and so many thanks for showing this great video.

    YP67 ZYW iI think. You can see in the earlier footage the number plate was in the bowl. So presumably only recently thrown in.

      It was weird both plates were in there front and back

      @@TrekkingExploration if I read the number right, it shows as a grey golf on the gov mot website. If the car has changed to a private plate, the old number doesn't show on the hov site. So why the plates are there is a mystery.. how long will plastic last? Maybe someone can work it out in 1000 years time.

      @@TrekkingExploration yes 🕵🏻‍♀️😂 taxed an mot’d till October 23 I always do when I see a British plate on RUclips. Only to see what make and model not to track down addresses I’m not at that level yet 🤪 it seemed strange to see what looked like a pair of discarded plates in a odd location.
