Thank you Ant for taking us where we wish we were bold enough to go. You delight us not only with the industrial archeology but with your skillful choice of shots edited with clever choice of music - absolutely 'top notch' work. I look forward to all your videos. Till next time ...
Wow when you said let's get in I thought hrs just popping the Dron in there but no you went in which was brilliant its a fantastic place I can't believe how beautiful it looked with the water coming down over the beautiful built plughole and to be in must have been great too well done 😊 xxx
Excellent record of water infrastructure. I didn't realise that was how it worked. Very intrepid exploration in this one. Not too scary but thanks for taking that cold shower just to provide us with a view from the perspective from the "plughole" overflow. Thanks Ant.
Great video. You're braver than I am, I have problems with spiders! Made me chuckle at 5.20 when you said "as you can see, it's really noisy". My eyes heard that quite clearly. 😁
A dazzling video today. Be careful in these areas, water can be slippery. Thank you for the tour today. Enjoy the weekend, and see you on the next! Cheers Ant! ❤😊
A brilliant video Ant wonderful engineering I bet that water was cold. I think that I can say it for all your followers that you put yourself through such discomforts for our benefit .Thank You.
What can I say that probably been said a thousand times, but another fantastic video with not only your commentary and scenes but the music as well. Always look forward to your videos Ant
That was fantastic, Ant. I know you won't be able to get inside Ladybower, but when it dries, it will be great to see your take on it. Thanks for sharing, brilliant vlog, as always.
Awww, Ant. You're a riot! Loved the vid. Really extraordinary place. Fantastic look at the inner workings of an otherwise little noticed structure. Well worth your efforts, so the rest of us can have a good gawk. Thanks, mate. 🤓👍
Not to sound weird but something like that would make for a great home shower....... I know ----- weird..... As always, the dress stonework shows great craftsmanship. The concert piping is okey, it shows quick and easy. Thanks to Darren for another enjoyable watch, and for his shower in the overspill.
So glad I found your channel, loving the videos. I also wanted to say that your editing skills and excellent music choice is perfection. Without sounding morbib, the music reminds me of walking into a funeral and you can hear the calming quiet music in the background, perfect music.
Hi Ant I've seen this in a documentary on TV a while back always thought it was fascinating, but nobody actually filmed inside of it! Brilliant camera work. ❤😊
if you're not already familiar with it, Patrick Dickinson has an interesting video similar to this on his RUclips channel. he explores the much larger ladybower reservoir plughole whilst the water level is normal, & returns at a later date to film it after some heavy rainfall. it is bloody terrifying to see it working at high water levels, & like this guy he provides great camera work & interesting commentary
Another wonderful video, we don't realise what is going on in the countryside reservoirs, such lovely work and music, so relaxing. Till next time thank you again.
Thank you for a very interesting video, I have seen inside a Plug Hole before, but this was the first time I have seen all the way to the hole, well done.
That was incredible. Absolutely amazing. The things you do for us are awe inspiring. Never seen anything like it. Filming outstanding. Wow wow wow. Thank you Ant.
This is rare! I've never seen anyone traverse one of these structures when it was in operation! True the flow is moderate, but it's still a fascinating insight!!!
Going through that tunnel reminded me of doing cross country at school and having to run bent over through a tunnel that takes the river Doe Lea under the M1 at Stainsby except we had to do it in winter. Yes my PE teacher was a sadist
Truly magnificent, thanks for taking us there. Its hypnotic the water cascading, along with the music, please be careful walking along these slippery surfaces. Thankfully you weren't alone (I think🤔).
Incredible of you to go right into the plughole Ant. I bet no one has ever thought of braving it through that falling water and then filming up through the shaft into blue sky. Well worth getting wet eh? A great achievement, and so many thanks for showing this great video.
Hi Ant, Thanks again for the explorer, I have only seen one other plughole before, but it was on a private lake. It was made from concrete. Thanks again
Great video interesting being inside and looking up what a great perspective with the blue sky above and the stone work of the plughole. Thanks for sharing.
Really enjoyed this one 👍🏻 I dunno but for some reason I didn't really think we would see the whole of the insides completely. Very interesting Ant' thanks. I don't think I could do it though.....too many movies watched regarding tunnels and water 😆
@@TrekkingExploration if I read the number right, it shows as a grey golf on the gov mot website. If the car has changed to a private plate, the old number doesn't show on the hov site. So why the plates are there is a mystery.. how long will plastic last? Maybe someone can work it out in 1000 years time.
"So as you can see it's really, really noisy now..." U wot, m8? 🤔 But, seriously, the engineering around our water systems is fascinating, whether it's a reservoir, culvert or sewer, so many curious places hidden away underground. Good stuff, Ant! 👍
You're very brave! I've often wondered what it was like in a plughole but not nearly as scary as I thought it would be. I wonder who had lost their car registration plate and how did it get there in the first place?
@@TrekkingExploration yes 🕵🏻♀️😂 taxed an mot’d till October 23 I always do when I see a British plate on RUclips. Only to see what make and model not to track down addresses I’m not at that level yet 🤪 it seemed strange to see what looked like a pair of discarded plates in a odd location.

If I remember right, Severn Trent relined parts in concrete as they was falling to pieces in certain places, like you mention @4 minutes.
Good work. Appreciate your efforts.

Great video, imagine the noise when it's on full chat
Thanks very much. I imagine it would be thunderous. I think the amount I did this in was about right
YP67 ZYW iI think. You can see in the earlier footage the number plate was in the bowl. So presumably only recently thrown in.
It was weird both plates were in there front and back
