Gosh I love the tinkering sounds. There's something so oddly comforting about them, and coupled with your voice, it's perfection.
For years you have absolutely decimated the competition for crowned king in this genre of video, you know. I wish the algorithm would agree.
I would agree that mechanical ASMR is truly underappreciated.

There's no work more satisfying than tightening something right before it strips or snaps.
i can imagine the heat maps of forces put on each bolt to bad we cant (yet) instantly take that thought and make it into a model or simulation

Doc I think this will be my first ever comment as a long-time watcher, but I would LOVE to see a video with lighting like you had at the very end. The idea of primarily focusing on sounds while at the same time not knowing how they’re being made with lights coming in and out of frame sounds very tingly :)

Sheesh the OG reactor has seen some mileage! Still have that one where this was first assembled saved on my "mechanical - Dr. T" playlist. Realized shortly after making a playlist that it's reduntant since i can't stay awake long enough to watch them all!
