Admittedly I don’t really see Hardy Bearing as much of an answer for Desperation enemies. Ideally you want to take them out either by baiting them in before they can activate Desperation or just KO them during your player phase. Hardy Bearing can stop the Brash Assault + Desperation combo, but the A.I. isn’t the greatest at using it anyway. I don’t really see Hardy Bearing on Defense teams as well, so I can’t say I’ve seen it be super effective there. If you guys have different experiences with Hardy Bearing, then I’d love to read about it.
Hardy Bearing is not an answer to Desperation, it's a counter to vantage. I use a fully upgraded hardy bearing on my Celica and she kills Hectors and Henry's for breakfast, it works perfect with her Renewal and she can safely finish any enemy that has low health, this is very important when those annoyances have their special ready. It's also useful with AoE Special although I don't use them often.
The Sacred Spear after watching ur vid about Michiah and Sothe I'm deciding whether I should do that unique close counter vantage build + close def or should I stick to refined Felicia?
I use this seal on my Furynewal Camus, and it *does* work wonders when it comes to that point. I also personify him as the type to fight with honor, so by canceling out the dirty tricks the enemy has it feels like the seal befits him :3
This Seal Actually save my joshua who I unknowingly applied it to in the tempest trials. Ayra/Arya (I forgot her name) had attacked him at despersation range and I was like "He's screwed" and when she struck he clapped back with glacies and survived at 15 health. 👌
Couldn't agree more about the AOE specials. I myself use a Blazing Wind Soren. Great for taking out Zelgius and Hector in addition to his normal targets like Nowi and Effie. Thanks for the video!!
Make a passive healer (probably Alm now cuz his refine is good too) and shove hardy bearing, and he can Heal, nuke dragons AND bypass vantage/desperation (although he wants to initiate anyway)
I love hardy bearing. I feel like it’s a bit of a sleeper seals because like you explained, it can come in handy to save many runs from experiencing casualties. I actually might try out Hardy Bearing on Deirdre on my teams! Thanks for another awesome video tutorial!
I've been using it in AA for quite a while, with Deirdre and Sanaki sharing it most of the time. It comes in clutch when that Vantage Hector is about to unleash his Bonfire.

I use hardy bearing on my celica (the mage version) and it works really well. I feel like people should upgrade it to at least level 2. Though sometimes it may be dead cuz of the hp requirement. In any case, pretty useful seal.

Btw, I want upgrade this seal with the VG coins to use in my Nephenee :P But I already used with my Shigure (When he was the bonus) the version 1 for let he kill some low health Vantage Ryoma or Hector that I always saw in arena that time. Hardy Bearing may not look that great but really come in hand, the downside is in AA you can't change the seals so that you could use Hardy Bearing in different units. Btw I think units with skills like Wrath, Renewal, WoM or anything like that (Quick Riposte too) may be the best users, specially because if you use an unit to be more a tank but want to have this unit finish a weakened unit that is faster.
It can definitely be used on more tankier/frontline units. If anything its a good choice if you don't think a unit needs another sacred seal to be competitive. Going to want the tier 3 version in these cases to at least make sure its a reliable skill when you need it.
Yep! For me, my Nephenee is good the way she is (Just need refine her weapon with Speed) and Hardy Bearing will be a good choice for her this, since I use her a lot in TT auto-battle and Arena Assault when I need a good unit to take down sword and lances~ She is already a good mixed phase that can survive a lot in the battle due the Sol+Wrath combo~ PS: I'm really gratefull to your video about healing specials because I swaped EB for Fury and Ignis for Sol and my Nephenee now is amazing.
Hardy Bearing works great on my Nephenee. She can easily kill melee units with her defense and stop fast desperation units like +10 Ayra and Mia and lance units like Christmas Robin, who is really annoying with DC + Vantage. It also helps against Hector who is running around in Arena with Vantage and she can negate that effect and use Wrath's effects to take him out. Overall a great sacred seal in my opinion.
Tbh it depends on the set. My Neph is +spd with her lance speed refined. If she isn't +spd then keeping +speed seal is more beneficial to her and helps her survive. If she is +spd then totally try Hardy Bearing and see how it works for you!
Hardy Bearing is a 200 sp seal from what I could find, so it is a bit behind seals like quick riposte for the sake of arena and such. I would like to use it for Blazing Wind Slaying Bow Faye, but since I only have two infantry pulse users (Dorcas and Marisa, and I'm nor foddering a Marisa) she already needs quickened pulse to be able to have her special ready from the start.
I run a ranged hero with a lot of splash damage, so a lot of times i put units into vantage range. As a counter measure, I've been using hardy bearing with Bartre with slaying hammer and axe breaker. It really stops Hectors Amelias and even Back knights(situational).

Hardy bearing is pretty interesting.... but its sadly a little too nieche. I think it really shines with your jaffar chip build + high atk mage, but thats the only scenario i would use it in. The problem of this seal is that there are so many other good seals ( heavy blade, QR, Distant/Close def or just raw stat boosts like spd + 3 ) and you technically only need four seals for your arena team. I can imagine it being used well in some PVE content tho.

Hardy Bearing is only worth it if you really just need someway to deal with Vantage threats and you are using a team that struggles against it. Speed +3 is always reliable and it affects every matchup so I recommend to at least have one that is fully upgraded. Atk Ploy can also be good, but obviously only certain units are going to want to run it. I would prioritize the Speed increasing seals if you don't have one maxed out, but its really up to you which skill is more important at the moment.
Give hardy bearing to grima. Desperation won't be a problem for him and since he has vengeful fighter and it isn't priority based. He'll kill most of the time
Yeah that base 40 Atk is sort of ridiculous and in my opinion would probably be able to chunk most units in the game for a good amount of damage. I haven't run into him much yet in Arena, but I can't wait to see what sort of builds people start using.
Andrew Kim I wish I had Grima Robin, Not just because he is a flat out nuke with that extremely high base attack, but he really is a cool flashy unit, especially since being an armored unit makes him feel closer to his Awakening appearance, where he doesnt even move at all.
Hardy bearing sucks for your defensive team. It is easy to work around since it is only relative to one unit. As for offense (when you control your characters) it still isn't very good due to how situational it is. Against my current team (and I use vantage), hardy bearing is worthless. My current #1 unit is Sothe (+atk, -def, and summoner support) [W: Peshkatz, A: Reposition, S: Miracle, A: Close Counter, B: Vantage, C: Savage Blow, Seal: Attack +3]. I pair him with an Olivia to ensure the entire enemy team is debuffed with Sothe's weapon, charge miracle, cause savage strike to trigger twice (so Sothe can finish off nearly anyone when he counters)... Why is hardy bearing worthless versus my Sothe? 1 I will just kill that unit first with a double attack from Sothe, or 2 I will avoid that unit and kill others first (which I can do with reposition after a dance). What about armor units that Sothe cannot take down? Personally I run Olivia with Armorslayer+ (speed). So I have armor units taken care of too. As for dragons... I just counter dragons with healers with Pain+ (Lucius or Serra are my current go-tos). They can deal enough damage and/or debuff them enough for Sothe to finish them off, especially if you use Olivia to allow Pain+ to trigger twice.
I think Hardy bearing was made and helpful because in the early age of the game Vantage Hector and Takumi was the Meta and they can solo your entire team just because of Vantage,But now times changed and hardy bearing seems not that good in the new meta.
Honestly only reason I'd see a person using Hardy Bearing is if they really, REALLY hate Vantage. Not that I blame them though. Vantage can be a bitch to deal with.
At neutral, she have 34 Spd. Is not that fast, but is not that slow, is on a middle ground, but comparing to Sanaki and Lilina, Delthea is the faster of the 3. The things changed a bit for mine (+Atk -Hp) when I placed Swift Sparrow on her.
I mean almost every blue mage is very fast, Lute has the same spd but her tome has spd+3 and spd ploy, Linde and tailtiu have more spd from what i remember and horse/armored/flier mages have access to hone class buffs
I suppose I was thinking about her neutral 34 spd, but I was mainly focused on her high base Atk + legendary tome + Death Blow which means she can definitely nuke targets in one hit.

This seal helped me clear the developer manakete map with Deidre. Being able to deny Vantage from them was so satisfying.

In a way, you can purposely leave the seal at its second stage and equip it to someone with desperation or Vantage to be the hypocrite build.

I personally love to combo Hardy Bearings with Guard, makes a psuedo Nihil effect. Especially effective with Zelgius and Black Knight.

I use the Hardy Bearing seal on my swordbreaker Sanaki, she's such a fantastic unit. If my Micaiah can't kill an armored target, Sanaki surely can.

hardy bearing 1 could be useful on arena defence on squishy high atk units with vantage tho
if you want to save coins, hearty bearing 2 is an OK substitute. 50% activation is WAY better than 100%.

I would rather just use better sacred seals, but it does have some use on these maps where enemies have inflated HP and vantage
if you are running LnD wouldnt you want desperation as your B? this would make Hardy bearing useless
You could use escape route, and if they were lnd they'd hopefully be able to oneshot.
I'd like it if Hardy Bearing negated the movement B skills (Drag Back, Lunge, Hit and Run, etc.) and it would make it much more useful

Refined Alm has to be at 100% for his weapon effect to work.
