    A.R.R. could have capitalized on the nation's emotions. The melancholy could have brought in more money. But he is A.R.R.-he gives the audience what they need, not just what they want. Thanks for sharing, Hiral. Good luck with your endeavors.

    Many who complain that "A.R. Rahman's music isn't the same" are fans of his earlier fusion of Western styles with Indian ragas, which revolutionized Indian music. However, fewer people know that many senior critics once criticized him for relying too much on Western influences. Over time, Rahman shifted away from high-energy fusion songs, a change that some fans now miss.

    ARRahman’s best part about music is interludes but its disheartening to know that they have to cut it short because of RUclips.

    • @anantha1201
      @anantha1201 Месяц назад +1

      Ofcrs, it's the interludes that bring about so much magic to his songs and getting to cut them citing RUclips as reason is so disheartening. Don't understand what's the problem with these algorithms and why they want to cut short everything including something as incredibly beautiful as Rahman's Music. Audience too should be more patient while listening to music, which is also not the case today unfortunately. Atleast, we know this much that Arrs music could never get boring and that's why we could listen to any of his scores back then till today!

    Hiral is such a great guest. Very useful information about how ARR changed the music post Sushant's demise, the process of making Taare Gin, and especially her input to the question of a lifetime: why ARR's music has lost its old touch. While her answer is very valid and informative (e.g. role of social media), it's still not the full answer. For example, hard to believe that smaller interludes are only because of social media, but maybe because ARR was more in the experimenting mode back then or maybe he had more time to experiment? Maybe he is doing too many movies these days and concerts?

    • @niznizam
      @niznizam Месяц назад +2

      or may be its the audience who has changed. I think now a days songs are more being watched than listened.. thats why u see all the viral songs are dance number, item numbers or where u can see more glamour.
      And 2nd factor is that Rahaman's songs are always New type which need some time investment from audience side to get it.
      Back then At the time of Roja, Dil se, Taal, Guru we had that time, because there were not so many distractions and we used to listen the audio instead of watching the video
      Rahman is still making great songs.. listen to songs of GOat life, Maidaan, or even chamkeela, each songs of each movies are masterpiece. Its hard to believe that none of them got viral.

    The decision to redo the music is a commendable act from the side of ARR but personally I feel it shouldn't have been cut as we missed few haunting melodies from Rahman this time. He's infact a master at creating those but then being sensitive to the death of someone like SSR is also very important and we can't help but respect that decision of ARR.
    Also, the thing about cutting interludes and all is very sad bcoz it's the identity of our film music back then and today's songs have hardly any feel to them because of all these machine algorithm driven innovations. The more technology dominates, the more the art in the music suffers! And If this continues to be the case, just about an AI can compose music and we don't require an ARR anymore then!!

    Dil Bechara, the movie was not completed...it's running time was 1 hrs 40 minutes...any other romantic films or all films has running time more than 2 hrs, 20 minutes..After the Paris scene abruptly the makers had to finish the film because of Sushant's demise....AR Rahman Sir's music was best here...especially the title track ....

      Its true. Compositions are still very beautiful but that sound of H Sridhar is nowhere close to that. Since 2010 sound its very average. Yes must be better than others in India but Rahman has to be 10 levels above than others not 1 level.
