Ive been watching Marcus at Zen golf and along with Dr Kwon its like hitting the jackpot of golf videos. There is a question that looms large there is more than one way to play golf, right; Im living proof my golf swing in no way matches there techniques. Have Dr Kwon explain Finau and Rahm swings and if he will. Great job B and to think I thought Milo was the guru. The rope swing is great it really slows me down...👏👏👏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿👍

Ok Brenden, back to last week's question about grips, this video is golden. At 12:29, we see 3 pro swings with 3 completely different grips...from very strong, to middle of the road, to very weak at Rahm. Dustin does the drive hold, where because of the strong grip, he has no need to rotate the forearms through impact, for it would shut the face and hook. Compare that to Rahm, who has to significantly rotate his forearm to get impact. Use your < left and right arrow > buttons during pause to see it one frame at a time. I'd like to see Dr. Kwon explain how to utilize a hammer driving a nail with both methods, please. I don't want you or him to choose a better method or advocate for one or the other, just explain the two from a science perspective. Golf grip is key to learning, and one teaching method may or may not work for every grip type. If Dr. Kwon knows and is willing, please show us.
Thanks for the work you do for us.

One question I have not seen answered, but would be helpful. How long does it take the average student to develop consistency with Dr. Kwon's drills, especially the step drills. I see during his sessions that students can get the swing in check sometimes in around an hour, but I know that most cannot develop/ingrain consistency that quickly which is why I ask the question.

How much time your willing to put into it will determine how long it takes you to develop the new skill. I promise you it’s not a do it once for an hour and you’ll have it. If you notice on all Dr Kwon’s videos he post there called Reprogramming XYZ’s swing. So that’s how you have to look at it. Your learning a new skill to replace your old one. Some people pick up things faster than others it’s all based on your athleticism….

@@BEBETTERGOLF I suppose, but even with better players it’s still hard to do quickly without the watchful eye of an instructor.
Look it I’m as excited as anyone to get this snow melted here in South Jersey and see some results on the course. Dr Kwon’s method really has given me hope to fix this “slight” over the top move I’ve had forever. I knew it always had to do with lack of lower body and to much upper…just had a hard time finding someone to help fix it. These drills are simple he uses, and want to thank you for putting him on everybody’s radar that follows you. Look forward to further content with him.
Great job on growing your channel!!

I've been enjoying the videos and trying the drills. I was good until I started really trying to separate lower body first, then started to get right mid lower back soreness. This common at first?

hi Braden, I think he needs to analyze the force of the club on the downswing which has tremendous affect on arms and body. The players really need to expect to counter balance for that force when the club swing down and out to keep it in the swing plane. In reality the hand path always a little higher and outward more than the setup if you look at the moment at impact.

This is really interesting stuff.. HOWEVER, some of the greatest golfers have swings that completely contradict things being taught here. I 'd like to use a basketball analogy since I used to play NCAA and professional basketball and was considered a great shooter, no troll. Many great shooters in the history of the game have had less than ideal shots and biomechanics, but they shot their shot. Larry Bird, Reggie Miller to name two. I'm relatively new to golf as I've needed a new competitive outlet since I'm no longer playing basketball and it's been 18 months since I started and I am a 10 handicap, give or take a couple of strokes depending on the course. I found that when I have focused on "my" swing and what works for me/feels good/natural and got away from chasing the dragon of a great shot by watching videos etc, I cut 8 strokes from my handicap in the last 3 months. One thing I can say and I don't know if it translates to a golf swing is this. Having good shooting form makes it easier to be a good shooter with less practice, but no matter what your form is, you can become a good shooter with enough practice. However, no matter how much practice a person puts in, they cannot make themselves a GREAT shooter. That's something you either have or don't, and I feel that is what golf is like. But, I get the excitement of golf and it's lure of always chasing improvement, whether that be through some new mechanic you're working on or a new club you've bought. In fact, I feel the whole industry of golf and money being made plays on this emotion in people and doesn't really help at the end of the day. I think finding a good instructor and getting some lessons is probably the best a person could do if one really wanted to seek improvement. Anyways, I still love these videos and I watch because it's all fascinating to me. All the best bud!

Adhere to Mike Austin principles. If you are a 10 and athletic you will be like a 2 or 3 or near scratch within one season . An open mind and be able to clear the mind of some misnomers and dogma will speed up the process cause once you accept and practice to train the nerves it's like a self repeating loops of feedback. When you swing there won't be any guessing at the ball .

None of these Kwon videos seem attainable by the everyday hacker loke most of us. Save it all for the pros. Way too involved and time consuming as it jumps all over the place. Un watchable from the very start, Sorry. Normally love your stuff.
