I remember watching the end of the story because the beginning of the game you never see the ending. Seeing the father fend off the witch, who was really Ethan, to let the daughter and mother get away, who was Mia and Rose. Crazy to me.
I'm not necessarily a RE fan (although I've seen plenty of playthroughs), but this game and RE7 really clicked with me. Naturally, due to that, I appreciate the direction they are going. This game was especially up my alley due to the fantasy and legend (aka this song) elements.
Man this game made me feel Somthing, and ever since I’ve completed it a week or two ago-it’s stuck with me. Only one other game made me feel that, rdr2.
The fact that in the beginning he said he'll protect Rose from those "Weird Fairy Tale monsters" Makes it even sadder.
Man this song is alot sadder after you play the game.
One of the greatest endings to a video game in recent years
The fact the story has a lot of foreshadowing that sure a lot of us missed at the beginning and we only realized it after we finish the game

I cried like a baby when These credits rolled
This is what i searching for. The end of the village of shadows. Thanks buddy
Argh
I didn't cry! You cried!

so the book is basically a prophecy
so cool how in the beginning we thought nothing of the tale & seeing this at the end makes it way cooler
I just realized that Resident Evil 9 will take place 17 years in the future
Just waiting for this to blow up when people finally finish the game.

The ending made me cry. Ethan sacrificing himself
Resident Evil gamers after finishing Village: "damn maybe we were to harsh with Ethan"
I get sad listening to this now that i know about ethan's sacrifice. Also I love the foreshadowing of the order of the main bosses I was gonna fight
I love how the story is being sung.
