Kyle Mooney’s exit when he tried to go over the table was clearly improv. You can tell the slight break in character from the other actors. That was a brilliant comedic move to surprise his fellow cast.
He pinpointed a very particular awkward in this one. Holy christ, like the guy who's too eager to show you they're interested in the story, but keeps getting points wrong. Like, are you not listening or just really can't follow a story?
When you have no friends so you practice being genuinely interested in the mirror at home but it's the not the same because you have to listen without edibles this time.
A sequined skirt. In the daytime? Paired with a black turtleneck, in Spring?! I don't know if I'm prepared for this story, but it looks good, actually!
I get the feeling that his knocking everything off the table and running out might not have been part of the script. She looked genuinely surprised and shocked.
These scenes are hilarious. Kyle is King of Awkward. And with awkward being so popular with younger generations, you would think SNL would use Him more
That last part when he cleared out the table was definitely improvised. Heidi had no idea it was coming. Only Jerrod stayed in character. Props to that guy. He's pretty awesome.
Idk his face looked like he might have actually been worried. I think when he placed his first hand on the table, it slid on the napkin, I think this was all an accident 💀💀
@@jonnyleeconway I rewatched and paused. His right hand comes down on the table without touching the napkin and the left never touches it at all. It was purposeful but unscripted. Love the way it caught the others by surprise.
"What was the crazy boss's name again? Was it Anderson?" "It was Anthony. But we don't need to talk about it anymore." "Anthony...that's just like the perfect name for it."
I've been watching SNL now for 30 years and I've got to hand it to them for these last few years- for displaying the best writing team this generation, compared to any other. I've never laughed so hard before.
I'm just sitting here wondering where Kyle's character is from where $1000 is enough to pay rent for the rest of the year. Plus lunch for four people at a restaurant.
I never feel more viscerally uncomfortable than when Kyle Mooney leads a sketch.
This was hilarious.
He's so underrated. Please more Mooney!
Someones been reading Webster's word-of-the-day
Yeah I'm just gonna go back to watching Mad TV from 20 yrs. ago. No offense. :-)
He is the most awkward person in existence.
@@OrDiane nah, he just creates the most painfully awkward characters.
Omg what if Kyle Mooney is straight-up the smoothest guy irl? Pure perfection.
When it comes to playing the awkward friend, Kyle Mooney is your guy.
Brigsby Bear is a legit incredible Film with that entire Premise
100%
" Friend" ?.. They just met.
I'd find it hilarious if he were super suave irl
Best dumb guy voice in the bizz lolol
This sketch is basically “What if we got Kyle Mooneys awkward guy character and just turned the dial all the way up?”
It’s what the people demand 🙏🏾
So, it's just a normal Kyle Mooney sketch. Only it's not cut for time.
It genuinely took me a while to realize Kyle did great stuff on the cast as a whole, because this specific character is really grating >.
@@cranapple3367 Same. I'm here reading the comments trying to build up the stamina to continue with the sketch. I made it 1:02 in.
Right. Right. So just “Normal Kyle”…?
Kyle Mooney has a really really good Jimmy Fallon impression.
LMFAOOOOO
too accurate
PLEASEEE
😂 😂 😂
Not enough fake laughing.
Kyle Mooney’s exit when he tried to go over the table was clearly improv. You can tell the slight break in character from the other actors. That was a brilliant comedic move to surprise his fellow cast.
Nah it looked like his hand slipped off the table even he looked a little surprised it happened
I honestly can’t tell if that was an accident or if he just came up with that exit on the spot, one things for sure that wasn’t scripted
If this is what you call brilliant, you must have low standards.
IT WAS RIGHT
Apparently he did the same thing at dress tho
The absolute tragedy of mundane social interactions. Mooney will never cease to be hilarious to me in one way or another.
He pinpointed a very particular awkward in this one. Holy christ, like the guy who's too eager to show you they're interested in the story, but keeps getting points wrong. Like, are you not listening or just really can't follow a story?
@@Winteramen And also keeps interrupting
That table moment is clearly not planned or was a surprise to other people. That was hysterical
I bet Pete dared him to do it. Just for giggles
Completely agree.
nah it was on the cue cards
Similar to the Chris Farley "van down by the river" skit where they didn't tell the cast that he was going to belly flop the table.
His hand slipped on the menu or something! 😱🤣
When you have no friends so you practice being genuinely interested in the mirror at home but it's the not the same because you have to listen without edibles this time.
🤣🤣🤣
“The french waiter?”
“No”
“Obama?”
Heidi is starting to crack a little at that one.
Every time Kyle Mooney gets creative input into his character, I feel so seen and so *recreated*
A sequined skirt. In the daytime? Paired with a black turtleneck, in Spring?! I don't know if I'm prepared for this story, but it looks good, actually!
Exactly what I thought
😁😂
I'm gonna do that the next time someone is in the middle of a boring story
Now we just have to figure out a way to apply this method to meetings and phone calls… 🤔
Which is 98% of all friend's stories.
I do it occasionally. I'm a little stinker.
Can we become friends and you give 1000 usd and pay my rent for the rest of the year?
Heidi's "Brad" at 4:47 was 100% her breaking character. And I love her for it.
Very rare to see Heidi break...
I get the feeling that his knocking everything off the table and running out might not have been part of the script. She looked genuinely surprised and shocked.
@@j.criquette3334 I think so too
@@tavasoli ME TOO! EGO is also shocked.
@@j.criquette3334 Yup. You can tell they didn’t know he would knock everything over.
I legit laughed at this skit. The ending was priceless
The girls weren't definitely expecting that ending. 😄
Weren't definitely? You mean definitely weren't, right?
Also what do you mean by those girls? are you calling jerrod Carmichael a girl? That is highly offensive!
@@kw9568 Thx. That was awkward, whew😅.
Kyle's whole role is my inner monolog. Tell no one.
That is sooo amazing!
These scenes are hilarious. Kyle is King of Awkward. And with awkward being so popular with younger generations, you would think SNL would use Him more
skits like this make me miss Beck bennett. Kyle is outstanding by himself but there was something absurdly comedic about the two of them together
They would use him more if he wrote more funny bits like this.
Don't forget our friend, the "-ness" suffix, which indicates the state of being.
@@773fishing2 plus he nailed Putin which would be useful right now.
He needs a show on Adult Swim
“Cause I thought it was later?” Best sketch this season! 😂
As someone who is extremely social awkward, this broke my mind
“Dinner is on me and I wanna pay the rest of your rent for the year.”
“That is really generous of you”
“Here’s a check for $1000 that should do it”
I lost it at that - that was fantastic
The fact that 1000 dollars "is not even enough for one month's rent" is actually scary.
@@melomankapl8756 it’s less than half a month most anywhere in the city
That last part when he cleared out the table was definitely improvised. Heidi had no idea it was coming. Only Jerrod stayed in character. Props to that guy. He's pretty awesome.
He really is a great actor! A real natural.
*"here's one thousand dollars, that ought'a do it"* LMFAO
Love seeing Heidi trying not to laugh after Kyle knocked the stuff off the table.😂
I also guess lunch really is on him.😉
🤭😂🤣
"Oh okay, didn't know, see ya!" -Perfect way to end this sketch
This made me lol a few times. And Ego looks so cute in this skit.
Kyle’s humor always intrigues me
Have to take breaks during Kyle sketches...the master at making you uncomfortable.
Omg I took breaks too
Same haha
I feel like we've all become a bit more Kyle over these past two years.
That ending had me crying! HAHAHA Kyle!!!!
I really want to believe Kyle improvised that spill.
How does Kyle manage to be completely harmless while also being completely insufferable???
Kyle's style of humor in a nutshell.
They basically took Kyle’s awkward 90s sitcom character and put him into a real world setting
I had to pause this several times because of how cringeworthy it was. Great job.
Also, great job using the correct term "cringeworthy" in this context, rather than the dumb and incorrect "cringe" as an adjective.
I believe Kyle has been watching me to write this character.
Brads apology and his exit was hilarious 😂😂
I don’t think the others knew the table spill was coming, ha!
I don’t think Kyle knew, his face made it look like this was all an accident
How tf has Kyle played this character for years and I love it every time !
This is why Kyle is my favorite
You can tell Heidi didn't saw the table thing coming, at 4:44 she's mouthing "What?!" while looking around the crew like she's begging for help. 😂
"Don't cash that until Monday," would've made this perfect.
When Kyle first joined the cast, I just didn't get it. Now he's my favorite on the show.
Oh Kyle! Love the rent part!
Mooney improving the ending is just 🤌🏼
Best Jimmy Fallon impression.
Kyle saying AMAZING in such a generic cornball way is my favorite subtle running bit he has on the show.
This was literally just like watching my social anxiety play out how it feels in my head.
Kyle Mooney has been really shining lately.
Wow the very end...
There couldn't have been a better time to slip on something. Fucking hilarious XD
3:12 That one woman in the audience who feels so bad for Kyle.
Kyle Mooney is what I was like in LA last month visiting family.
Kyle Mooney is so good at playing dejected.
I was literally watching the Cecily do the Serial podcast sketch a few days again lol
I don't think they told all of them about the ending but that was HILARIOUS LMAO this week had some good lowkey sketches
Kyle's character is the white guy equivalent of Supa Hot Fire's crew.
I’m about to ruin this man’s whole career
"What was the crazy boss's name again? Was it Anderson?"
"It was Anthony. But we don't need to talk about it anymore."
"Anthony...that's just like the perfect name for it."
I loved every part of this sketch!! 😂
Kyle is certainly fond of the word "Amazing".
I really like the ending I wish that was the whole bit. Heidi's struggled scream of Bradford's name really smold it
First time I have ever heard of this week’s host and he is fantastic!
LMFAO
when the skit is all crystalized dude.
that's gonna be my new exit from awkward situations now "welp didn't know... see ya" *crash*
Kyle Mooney is PERFECT at this🙂
They should’ve called this skit
“The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon”
This was Kyle Mooneys magnum opus
The end of the sketch just felt perfect. Really good!
*wasn’t sure what to expect with this skit, but this was hilarious -* 😂
this one had me cryinggg
The ending was so chaotic lmao
As a person who's not from New York, I just want to say, we're all exactly like this.
1:34 "I thought it was later!"
Perfection
I've been watching SNL now for 30 years and I've got to hand it to them for these last few years- for displaying the best writing team this generation, compared to any other. I've never laughed so hard before.
I'm in tears early Sunday morning...that was hilarious
Tell me why I immediately started laughing at the top of this sketch lol!!
I'm just sitting here wondering where Kyle's character is from where $1000 is enough to pay rent for the rest of the year. Plus lunch for four people at a restaurant.
Thankfully Kyle is still the best at these kind of personalities and is also still in the show.
I love how this is like a Tippy sketch, and Kyle fits it soo well :)
And if you don’t know who I mean by tippy, look it up :)
Yes! I thought the same thing 😂
I thought this would end where the dude was sent by the prankster friend or something
Much better than the actual ending.
I love Kyle. He's theeee best!!
This is hilarious!! Kyle Mooney takes it home!😅So fun hearing my music play during this sketch. Thank you SNL!!!
“The french waiter!” 😆
Ok I didn't expect the ending but this whole skit was golden ✨
Kyle outdid himself once again with this 😹
This is every New Yorker’s experience when they try to introduce their visiting cousin from a flyover state to their NYC friends.
If this man isn't a people-pleasing, highly sensitive, painfully empathetic, socially awkward enneagram 9, IDK WHUTTT. Too uncomfortably relatable 😂
Seeing myself in him it’s true but idk about empathetic bc they’re too in their head to truly listen well all the time
This might be one of the funniest sketches they’ve done in a while
KYLE
This is classic Kyle Mooney from RUclips.
My all time favorite sketches are by Kyle Mooney and John Mulaney. Soooooo good. Were they high on dope?
as someone with adhd/autism the trying to guess the story part was too relatable
How are you with social interactions?
Me:
I feel like this is the perfect way to deal with someone telling a pointless story.
Idk why but this makes me cackle with laughter 😂
I used to have friends like this, to the point you just want to pull a will smith to shut their mouths and let them finish your story hahah
'Here's a check for $1,000', lmao
Something tells me that last part was improvised.. The look on Heidi's face.
Omg this hits me right in the self-loathing 🙃
I love Bradford and would never want to hang out with him ever 👻
I love Heidi's sequined skirt!
That Ego thigh shot. 👌🏾
