Apparently he survives this situation because the security system forgets he's there. With that in mind, I'd love to see ForgetMeNot become the in-universe equivalent of the Stan Lee cameo. Just a reoccurring figure across all the comics, quietly lending a hand, offering advice, or minimizing collateral.

It reminds me of an SCP named Average Joe. Theirs a supernatural field around him that forces not only people but the universe to ignore him. He’s immortal because death itself doesn’t take notice of him, no matter what he says or does it will be perceived as something completely average or unremarkable. He can be insulting you and you’d not hear a single ounce of it only perceiving a vague casual dialogue, if he hurts you or someone within eye sight you won’t perceive the attack, only noting the injury with a “huh, I don’t remember getting hurt” he once punched a researcher in the face and he only thought he got a random nose bleed. The only way they noticed him at all was because they saw him get hit by a car and shrug it off. They simply thought he was immortal even if Joe corrected them because they don’t hear what he’s actually saying. He has to be contained within a simple cell with a padded lock because electronics fail in his presence after some time allowing him to simply walk out of the facility. It annoys Joe because he can’t talk to anyone about anything, the person everyone is hearing isn’t him and it’s impossible for him to get anyone to pay attention to him or actually hear him. He could shoot a man in broad daylight in a New York crowd and still wouldn’t get a reaction from people.

I remember reading a 'young-readers' story about a mutant kid with a similar power, to be ignored rather than forgotten, and the only person who could really hold a conversation with him was Wolverine because he could track him by scent rather than eyesight. So I doubt Wolverine would even work. He'd probably perceive him, but wouldn't necessarily remember him at all the second he breaks eyesight.
It might work like he smells him, finds him, looks away and forgets him but the smell seems familiar to him cause the entire time he was smelling it. Like when we see something or smell something that looks so familiar but we don't know it.
That or the second he looks away he completely forgets the smell entirely and it isn't familiar so he is just stuck in an infinite loop, which personally sounds funny.

Forget Me Not is honestly such an amazing concept, because one could say that in every single X Man comic before his death, he was in it. Why don't you remember him being in it? Exactly
Edit: Apparently he doesn't die, the security system forgets he's there and he just leaves scarred. So by that logic, he is in almost EVERY X-Man comic, maybe even more than that, but you just forgot.

Think about it, in all of his flashbacks, the moment people forget about him, that was that, and he had to reintroduce himself every time and any impact he made on them vanished. If the girl had truly forgotten him, she would’ve reverted back to her original, depressing thought and tried to sneak back into the building again. Instead, the kindness and change of heart she felt that was given to her by the man carried on even after she doesn’t remember him. Anybody not familiar with the character from Agent X . . . Mary Zero had a similar power, only it went even further: no one could see that she was even there. At most, they recognized that there was a person present, but no one worth noticing, and she was ignored and forgotten instantly. More often, people just couldn't see her. She wasn't invisible, but people's eyes and minds would just slide right past her. And it was really sad because she was a happy child until her mutation hit in adolescence, and in an instant, her parents simply forgot she even existed.
The REALLY sad part is, she initially became a major character in Agent X, when she met Alex Hayden, and he turned out to be the only person on Earth who could see and remember her . . . but after the first major arc of the series ended, even the writers of the comic themselves forgot about her and she never appeared in the series again. **facepalm**

There's actually another character I know that is sort of a counterpart to Xabi. He's called *SCP-1504* (And yes, his nickname is literally called JOE SHMOE), and his powers, (or anomalous abilities if you know what SCP is) are exactly like Xabi, but somehow even worse. For starters, almost everyone and everything around him will perceive all of Joe's actions within expectations. What that means is that if he punches you until your nose bleeds, you won't even realize it. From your perspective, you had a massive headache all of a sudden, and your nose suddenly bled. You'll only see Joe just being a regular guy doing or saying regular things, no matter how atrocious or immoral the things he's ACTUALLY doing or saying are. No matter what he does, good or bad, his honest actions and words would be "replaced" with something else, rendering him to be practically ignored by everybody he comes across.
He said that his life is such a hell to live with, that he tried suicide multiple times, but failed to do so. It's not that he's immortal, but somehow he's just lucky enough to survive every single suicide attempt, like trying to shoot yourself, but each gun you use malfunctions when you point it at yourself. *It seems like even Death ignores him too.* And to top it off, his anomalous abilities can affect and extend to other things and people as well. He could stab someone to death in a public area, leave, and no one would realize the corpse at all. This effect can extend to whatever the consequences of his own actions would bring, from a single person to a whole city.
After a recorded interview between an SCP researcher and SCP-1504 has gone through multiple complex video and audio processes that essentially filters out Joe's unintentional anomalous effects (it can affect recordings too btw), what he ACTUALLY said to the researcher was this:
*"I could say anything. I could do anything. I could say that I’m going to r+pe and kill your wife and you wouldn’t even notice. Hell, I could actually r+pe and kill your wife and you wouldn’t notice. I’m living in a virtual hell because I can’t die. I am going to step outside this room and take the guard’s gun. I’m going to shoot myself with that gun and nothing, fuckin’ nothing, is going to happen."*
*"Do you know what it feels like to be in a room crowded with people and they all ignore you? Do you know how hellish my life is? I want to die!!!"*

This reminds me of an idea I had for a fantasy novel that I just barely started writing as a teenager. The main character was a sort of grim reaper type, and as such was a total social pariah. To make his work (and life) easier, he had a spell that made him soul-crushingly uninteresting to others. No matter how hard they may try, people simply could NOT keep their attention on him. They’d just get this overwhelming sense of boredom and shift their attention to something else.

AoE and Direct Shots Immediately upon witnessing him would do the trick, if anyone could actually get the chance to do so.
Doom could take him out if Xabi isnt careful, but Xabi is also one of the few who stands a chance against Doom... kinda nuts to think about. There hasnt been a Xabi vs Doom situation, but if it happens Doom might actually see himself defeated not knowing how tf it happend. In theory, Xabi defeats todays Doom. That cant be said about even some of the strongest powerhouses in Marvel.
