Just found this!! Thanks so much for sharing. I first saw Dixie Dregs back in the '70s and have been a fan ever since. Nice to see Steve, Dave, and Van all looking fit and healthy. The thing that I personally believe sets Steve apart from other guitarists with insane chops is his melodicism.in the face of musical gymnastics!!
He's happier in this little shit hole playing HIS music, me thinks, then huge stadiums in Russia playing Ritchie Blackmore's licks... I used to watch him do Ice Cakes in the OLD Golden Bear DUMP in Huntington Beach, end of THE run, for Dregs,, from Oct 1980, at my accidental first show, Roxie Theatre, Hollywood, to bizarre 4 piece when Mark O'Connor's young ego couldn't take Steve's PROWESS n he bolted...Drove from Atlanta to incredible dives in Alabama where they just burned the places down with no fiddle, just T and Steve jamming...
They reconnected in the late 1990s and 2000s to do shows at The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano opening as The Steve Morse band followed by The Dregs with Jerry Goodman on violin every end of January as he followed the annual NAMM show in Orange county.
Steve Morse is the best fusion player and composer of our lifetime.
SMB on the road are the best news in 2023!!!!
HE IS BACK!!!❤
Steve is the best. caught him in Boston earlier this year.
I wish they would have come to Toronto 😩. Really want to see them live once in my life

Steve is my Guru but Van Rommejn & Dave LaRue are solid as a tank ! Best Power Trio in the World !
It's rarified air to be a player in this group. All great but Steve is just awesome
