    I have the same model, im always in dynamic mode, but I live in the central Highlands of Scotland, and the pot holes have killed 2 tyres in the last 3 months, I use toilet brushes in different sizes to clean the wheels, I also have a diesel TT with the same wheels, I would recommend either model, I get 18mpg on the S5 and 45mpg on the TT, both have been remapped to 420 and 260bhp respectively great cars glad you are enjoying it

    • @Pietro931
      @Pietro931  2 года назад +2

      The toilet brushes aren't too tough on the wheel? Griots Garage sells brushes of all sizes, which is what I use my car. Here in Florida the roads are flat and no potholes which is why I went with the 20" wheels. Otherwise you are looking at many tire replacements. Gas mileage has something left to be desired about, but the performance more than makes up for it.

    • @paulgreen758
      @paulgreen758 2 года назад +2

      @@Pietro931 I agree, fuel economy is second to driving through tunnels with the sound blaring, in the UK toilet brushes are very soft, and they work very well, my TT isn’t far behind, a second over a quarter mile, I love both cars and wouldn’t replace either

      Got mine 3 weeks ago. I have never bought wheel and tire protection on any car but I did with this. I feel it’s only a matter of time before a pothole takes our a tire/rim

    • @Pietro931
      @Pietro931  Год назад

      The 20" wheels are very delicate and that is furthers by the oem tires that are rubber band thick. Switch to Michelin tires asap, they are a game changer in ride quality and comfort. They also have a thicker sidewall. I am in Florida so the roads are straight and boring, very little in the way of potholes.

    • @MistaBrown420
      @MistaBrown420 Год назад

      @@LoXHumaN I got mine with 1850 miles on it. The previous owner put 1800 miles on it in 11 months of ownership!!!! every single option with premium plus not the prestige so no matrix led's but I got it for 48900 msrp was around 57,500 tho haha so I personally wouldn't have been able to pull the trigger on it at around 60 grand lol and it's now at 4500 miles a little over a month n half later lol. But yeah getting an 8y at low 40's is no easy feat unless it's got like 20k plus miles on it but even then I wasn't seeing them drop in price much even with that kind of mileage on em they should hold decently well in value after that initial new to used car depreciation pretty much why I went with a slightly used one. I'm pretty dang sure you can find one spec'd out lightly and maybe get it for sub 40's but then you won't be getting things that imo make the car so great like the upgraded mmi or the upgraded sport seats... If your planning on a prev gen s car then I would say don't go for the prev gen s3 it has a really cheap interior and the seats suck manual only seats in a luxury car is just dumb but the new s3 has power seats that are ammmmmmazing

    Great video!
    On the 20” though, do you recommend to go for slightly bigger thickness for the tyre to avoid wheel damage when run into potholes?

    • @Pietro931
      @Pietro931  2 года назад +1

      If you live in a place where it gets cold and the roads have potholes, stay away from the 20s. The tires and the wheels will get damaged, and both are not cheap to replace. Plus, you will need a second set of wheels and tires for the winter season. I live in Florida, where it's warm, and the roads are flat with no road damage. I would not have selected the package if I was in a colder place.

    Would you suggest skipping the black optics package to get 19 inch wheels? I live in Wisconsin and the roads here can be a little rough sometimes. How are you liking the tide on the 20s so far? Thanks for very informative videos!

    • @Pietro931
      @Pietro931  3 года назад

      Given where you live here are the options 1) get the BOP knowing a winter set is needed. The package really makes the look of the car or 2) 18"s give your rim more protection from the pot holes. The 19s have a very thin sidewall. Bending a rim or cutting into a tire is very real up north.
      Hope this helps somewhat.

    • @wenqiliu4988

    Thanks for the update! Can you tell me how the piano black on the center console is holding up after wiping it? Mine has a lot of swirls already so I bought new piece and am going to have it PPFed with the clear plastic so it doesn’t scratch so easy. I’ve used only microfiber cloth and water spray to clean it off. Other than that loving my RS5.

    • @Pietro931
      @Pietro931  3 года назад +1

      I haven't had that issue. When I clean it I make sure there is alot of liquid on it and allow the liquid to loosen up whatever is on the surface. I put almost no pressure in wiping with a microfiber cloth.
      You may want to try putting polish on it. That could fill in the light scratches.
