Sorry, folks! This is a reaction to "Get Jinxed" and the Season 2 Announcement. I thought it was called a teaser. If a teaser is defined as something else, then my apologies!

A trailer is a resume about what the product is about, while a teaser is used to generate interest and intrigue without telling anything about the story (it can also be used as a prelude/advancement to an actual trailer).
With that information in mind, I think you could call it a teaser!
It's all good. If anything a double-feature makes it even better.
I would call the season 2 thing a teaser. They definitely are teasing us.
And I got that the “Get Jinxed” thing was separate, but maybe some people didn’t. I’m sure it will make sense when we see it.
In case you weren't aware, back when this was released, Pow-Pow was just the name of Jinx's gun. Arcane retroactively made it originally her nickname when she was Powder.
The Pow-Pow line in this song used to just be "oh ha ha, she's crazy and talks to her guns," but now it definitely hits different. lol
Seeing Jinx be her usual peppy, happily unhinged self after Arcane is . . . jarring
Edit: Also, in case it was unclear, Get Jinxed came out seven years ago, well before Arcane.

"Welcome Aboard" takes it even further: happy Jinx with a dysfunctional yet supportive group of friends. I'd love a Guardians of the Galaxy style one-shot film about that setting.

@BattleAngelFan Ironic that you say you don't like alternate universe what-if versions of characters, because Jinx in Arcane is literally an alternate universe what-if version of the character. She's very different from her in-game incarnation, which is the "original" Jinx. In fact, original Jinx has more in common with the "Welcome Aboard" Jinx than the Arcane Jinx as far as personality goes. So I'm guessing your League experience begins and ends with Arcane. Which is okay, but don't sit there and act like Arcane Jinx is the official version of the character.
If you want proof, watch the Legends of Runeterra "True Genius" short and the "You Really Got Me" music video. They showcase Jinx's game personality, and whether you like the character or not you'll definitely see that behavior-wise it's on-brand with the version in "Welcome Aboard".
I'd definitely recommend WARRIORS (it has Cait and Vi), LOL WORLDS 2021 (it was how they promoted Arcane and there are extra scenes and music in it. Very cool), WELCOME ABOARD ODYSSEY (An alternate universe where Jinx is basically a Guardian of the Galaxy Lol) and YOU REALLY GOT ME (Has Jinx). If you don't wanna delve too deep into new characters, those are pretty much the videos ya want.

I don't see why it would be Caitlyn. She doesn't like Cait, so why would she be glad to see her? Who it could be however (aside from Vi) is Warwick/Vander.

@@eternal7912 Jinx would be glad to see Caitlyn because it removes any complicated reservations she would have if it was Vi. "I'm glad it's you... that makes this much easier" kind of thing.
That said we're certainly supposed to think it's Vi, and there's all kinds of stuff in the Enemy video and the world's opening that wasn't even in the show, so it could also be just another misdirection that gives an idea of what to expect without giving the specifics.

To think that “Get Jinxed” was eight years ago and is still a banger of a song and a dope ass music video.
I am always thinking that people spoil themselves on Jinx’s character when they watched this video. I know that she was leaning in that direction near the end of Arcane but to someone who hadn’t see this it would have much more of an impact. Guess season 2 will lean more into the explode everything crazy girl.
Also the theme you hear in the last few seconds of the announcement is a champions theme called Warwick; which will most defiantly show up in season two and you Arcane only people are not ready.
2:08 She mentions “Pow-Pow” which is a nickname that Vi (Violet) gave her because of her birth name “Powder”
2:26 Jinx is shown blowing up a Balloon Thing (idk what it’s called) and if you remember from Ep 1. Powder says she wants to ride in one of them when she’s older but Mylo cuts in and says “And one day, I’m gonna shoot one of ‘em down!” Which I believe jinx doing this is a reference to Mylo’s sentence.
Pow Pow is also the name of her minigun, asking what her gun thinks is often a euphemism for shooting wildly and letting fate determine who gets hit.
The fact that she named her mini-gun as Pow-Pow (turning her trauma into a weapon) damn...
She also literally talks to/asks her guns what they think. "Hey fishbones what should we do today?" "Let's do the laundry, The dishes..." "You know I can replace you right?"

More like Mylo saying that was a reference to her music video.
Season 2 feels so far away. I'm dying to see what will most likely be the war between Piltover and Zaun. And most importantly seeing Vi, Jinx, Caitlin and the rest of the characters who will have a role in it.

@@alehguto Viktor is actually still a good dude, his lore got retconned from being a mad evil scientist ages ago; he just wants to help the people from Zaun who are too poor to seek aid elsewhere. Of course, we don't know how Arcane will go with it considering they already changed some stuff, but I doubt they'll turn him into a villain.

I love, despite how old the Get Jinxed trailer is, you can see a *lot* of details that they used in Arcane. You've got to wonder how much they planned back then, or if they just went over it, frame by frame just listing things to use.
Any yeah, this hits *very* differently after Arcane. Instead of "lol, random!" its more "Oh, Powder... you need help."
I’d recommend Warwick: Wrath of Zaun! Since there’s a LOT of theories about him and Vander, and the fact that the s2 teaser has that very distinct sound right at the end.
Season 1 of Arcane took around 6 years to make, I want them to spend as much time as they need to make season 2 as good as season 1.

The 6 years was from "Hey, what if we made a show?" To completion. As C Williams said, it was closer to 3 so end of ‘23 beginning of ‘24 is completely possible and still be the same quality since they probably started some of the early work near the end of Season 1s production to have a head start.
It took them 6 years because they started FROM SCRATCH, just with looking for the workers and animators should have taken like 1 year

There's a mash up of Get Jinxed and Vi's Login music called "Here Comes Vi." I recommend listening to Vi's theme on its own, but personally I think the mashup is totally awesome and what I would think is their theme working together in one team.
also, the female singers for both parts of the mashup are married to each other, so that's sweet.

- KD/A - Popstar (and Villain) - just amazing "virtual" Superstars. (there's tons of other great songs&videos but those are more for the esports scene)
Small correction: when you said "can't wait for season 2, I hope that now that's got the following and the funding they can put the fck out of it out"
It's definitely not about the following nor the funding when it comes to Riot Games/League of Legends, they have the most played video game in the world, they make fire music and cinematics, and, now, fire shows, and I mean, to give you more of an idea, every year they have an esport tournament for League called "Worlds" which is basically the world cup and they got more viewership than the fcking Super Bowl, so yeah, following was definitely not a problem before, imagine now after Arcane. Plus, they have a f*ck ton of money, so yeah, funding isn't a problem either. It's all about the fact that they wanna make sure they get it right and it's the best it can be, and that takes time and work.
I know kind of a long piece of writing you prolly ain't gonna read anyways but hey... It's sort of an inside perspective, to let you know what's up a bit💖
For being made in 2015, Get Jinxed holds up so well! Riot Games really did justice with Arcane, seeing how Jinx eventually becomes the Legend we see in the games, including the details like her mannerisms, tattoos, her pale skin and Pink/Shimmer eyes. One of Arcane's plot points is about Jinx eventually getting to her True/Final form; Get Jinxed showcases her batshittery to a whole 'nother level 😎
Jinx’s song is just so super catchy. Love it! 💜 I can’t wait for season 2! 😄

They did a similar thing in Amphibia. If you listen closely to the episode where the man is trying to Anne's mom to agree to working with him ( can't remember the name). You can hear that he is listening to "Welcome to Amphibia" in the background when he is dancing in his truck. (Right before sprig steals it)

What's even more heartbreaking is in episode 3 when Powder cries out for her sister the subtitles are wrong. She calls out "Vi Vi", indicating they both used pet names for each other.

Jinx's rocket launcher is called Fishbones, and it was created by Jinx, and inspired by Silco.
Pow Pow is Jinx's machine gun and was also her nickname when she was a kid, given to her by Vi.
Echo has a quote in game that implies he was romantically interested in Jinx, that was until he heard her talking to her guns.
Ella Purnell is JInx's voice actor in Act 1 of Arcane, and despite playing an estimated around 12-14 year old Powder, she was actually 9 years old when they began production.
Warwick is a wolf man who is implied to be some form of Vander (its pretty stretchy though)
Jinx in game has a lot of quotes that relate to Arcane. For example, when using her fishbones rocket launcher, she'll say "Do you laundry, wash the dishes, pay your bills... stupid dumb rocket launcher" referencing that Fishbones was based off Silco, and Silco was a father figure in her life.

I would recommend reacting to all the Legends of Runnterra's cinematics on the different regions so you can get familiar with all of the other vast places other than and including Piltover, Zaun , Noxus etc. before season 2. You will recognise some characters for sure. Love every upload btw. You have such a great personality 😊
The sound bit at the very end + haunting music is from the character Warwick (think a big, shimmered-up werewolf), which according to theory is Vander brought back in a sense by Singed.
I feel like someone has commented on this since this is 1 year late but I just have to say it!
The howling noise at the end of the season 2 teaser is most likely from a character from the game named Warwick. He's this really cool Werewolf thing that was made by Singed. Warwick used to be human but was turned into a werewolf because Singed experimented on him and people speculate that Warwick is Vander!

great vid really funny also if you remember the warwolf thing with the claw that was hanging from the celling in the last ep of arcane that he doctor was working on that you said looked like vander his name is warwick and I think there is a good chance that it is him and also at the end of the teaser you can clearly hear that eary music that is warwicks music that plays ingame when he is hunting you down and in his champion theme song he also has a really good short cinematic that I think you should watch love the league content keep it up :)

I noticed a couple of things that I think Arcane did to reference this song? One of them was what you pointed out with "see what pow-pow thinks" (which Vi called Jinx Pow Pow when they met again for the first time), and the other one I noticed was, "let's start from scratch and blow up the sun" and I think they were referencing that in the last episode when Jinx sends the bomb to the council and there's the shot of it going past or to the sun if I remember correctly? I just thought it was interesting!
Damn you're sharp! Only person I've seen realising that she was listening to her own song in Arcane! This was released when she was first being introduced to League. Little thing, "pow pow" was just the name of her minigun, so it was nice to see them retcon that to being what Vi called her. We spent literally years wondering if they were sisters.
That howl and heartbeat at the end is from the game. It's for a character called Warwick. we all have our theories about how he will appear. It'll be epic!!

the League of Legends Worlds 2021 Ceremony had some amazing Arcane scenes and I highly recommend it (though you might need to cut or mute the Enemy part a little to avoid a copyright strike)

I think the Get Jinxed music video was the first time Riot worked with Studio Fortiche (the masterminds behind the amazing style of Arcane) the 3D characters aren't as advanced but you do notice their style in some of these camera movements and the mix 2D effects and backgrounds with the 3D modelled characters
At the end of the trailer, wolf howling and "creepy" sound effects are definitely a teaser to Warwick (one of the characters from LoL, who's, by the lore, originally from city of Zaun and, if i remember correctly, he's Singed creation. If you remember in the last episode, we've seen Singed looking at something that you thought was Wander. Makes sense now...), at least i hope so. Feels like there will be way more blood compare to first season, knowing Warwicks nature
i watch that trailer 200 times and it never cross my mind the end of the trailer (the sound ) is what a certain champion in the game make when is hunting you ! now i'm scared ! :O

hey Elijah, there is one channel called Georgia Dow, she is a therapist and she made some videos reacting on arcane characters, analizing them. i personally liked her videos of jinx, jinx and vi, silco and jinx. like after watching them i got these characters even better and could u maybe please make some reactions on her arcane videos, it's insane!! i would love to know what u think after watching them❣️🤲
Idk if someone else has said it already, but in gane Jinx has two guns: her machine gun and her smaller shock gun (that she uses to kill the crow). The smaller gun is called Pow-Pow T.T

Idk of you already know this, but if you listen very closely at the end of the announcement, when it says in production, you can hear Warwicks ambience (or whatever it is lolz) and people think that Vander will return as Warwick (I think). 😊

To anyone who isn't a league of legends fan, there is a mechanical heartbeat at the end of the teaser and I think it means something. At first, I thought it was nothing but then I remembered a character named Warwick a half werewolf half machine character. That mechanical heartbeat I think is hinting that Warwick may be in the second season and that's who was on the scientist's wall at the end (I forgot the scientist's name sorry)
You should totally react to some of the fan made songs about arcane, there are some seriously good ones out there

Yes, video is old and it's just a small detail, but Arcane is gorgeous for lots of that smal details.
This song was released before Arcane, and the scenes with the wind-up cymbal monkey hit so much harder now.
Fortiche, the same geniuses behind Arcane, are the same ones who made Get Jinxed. And, according to the timeline of development of Arcane, they started Arcane pretty much right after Get Jinxed was released. And, Pow Pow is what she calls her minigun.

I totally recommend you to look into the warwick vander theory if you haven't yet cause it s very interesting and it would explain a part of this teaser/season2 announcement. Also you made a remark in the last arcane episode reaction that s completely linked to that theory.

That Rhino makes a cameo as a toy on the floor when she first activates the blue crystal and it explodes (causing her flashback).
