The manga adapted the Colette scene with the Kratos one right after, which is great imo, these were my favourite and make the most sense. Though the Zelos one is essential to get his character fully.
I like Zelos', mainly because you're showing his life matters and thus gives him the desire to live. I'm a sucker for suicidal people gaining hope for living.
