I've owned the hatchback model for 17 years. The car is smooth and flawless. Much more robust and high quality than today's models. Engine, Japanese quality, British co-design and driving comfort are legendary. I have traveled 195 thousand kilometers. Trust the Japanese, especially Toyota, this model is amazing. Thanks for video

My dad had this car back in 2004 - 2012. It's still the most popular car in Sri Lanka as a 2nd hand buyer even if it's old.

I have 06 reg from new it is the hatchback 1.4 and done 60k had a new battery at 10 years and just had its first set of discs and pads so can't complain and no intentions about selling especially when friends seem to spend a fortune on there cars. I wonder if the new Yaris will be as good in the future and what car would Toyota owners buy in the future for something as reliable and well built.

2004 E12 1.6 Corolla owner here. If you still care then my average is 7.8 - 8l/100km according to the car computer and I drive like a young red blooded lad would. Only time I shift at 2-3k RPM is when the engine is cold. So I assume something like 7.5l/100km is possible.
