RIP Mark Lanegan, a truly unique voice
This is some bullshit mannnnnn
@@kevinschindele4829 unfortunately real..sad
@@Dfjei33e r.i.p to a legend.
:((((
@@kevinschindele4829 I heard it whiile at work yesterday. Nearly busted a hole in a wall.
Lannegan looks like he wandered in during his lunch break at
Big O Tires. "Be right back, I'm also in a band..."
Joey beating those drums like they owe him money.
Rushing as always
Dave was always better. F-ing Joey rushes like he just did several lines of coke, and needs to get home to feed his goldfish.
I liked Dave as the drummer. Joey was eh. WAYY to rushed, especially on songs he didn't need to. Gene has to be my absolute fav out of all of them.
Thanks they have Jon Theodore now! He sounds great! ( I can't believe they can't find better then Joey at that time. ) Josh Homme is probably better loll
holy shit this drummer is bad
Met him a few years ago. Tremendous loss of very rare talent and true visionary. Rest In Peace, Mark. 🖤
Possibly one of the greatest if not THE greatest heavy rock album of the last 30 years. Its a phenomenal ride.
QOTSA were the most bad ass band on earth in this period! RIP Mark Lanegan! A real legend!
Still are 🤘
It’s amazing how a few bpm can feel so different
especially when the drummeris the only one playing different
Dude it’s awful. They’re so good and so is this song but holy fuck is this rushed
Idk if the network wanted it cuz of time but Joey was really throwing it off
It was definitely off
@@jeffreyschoolcraft7565that was Joey for you, sick drummer in record and sometime live but he consistently rushed shit and it was really irritating, luckily Jon never does
RIP MARK LANEGAN. A TRUE LEGEND
I was 29 when this came out. Word to anyone 29. If you find anything that rocks like this ride it hard cause it's over fast.
You're so right. Certain music grabs and never let's go. Hard to explain but this is very well put. Rock on dude
Amen bro, nothing lasts, everyone dies
I was 10000 day
About to turn 29. QOTSA are my number one listened to band the last year. Gonna be cranking them for a long time coming
@@jakehoulihan4427 Stick to the first 3 albums as closely as possible
I always wondered how Mark was able to look cool af without getting the urge to headband on stage
Decades of substance abuse
@@chrisg1772 He also smokes a lot, which kinda fucks up his voice. I'm not judging though, and it's none of my business, but it would be nice if everyone was in good health.
Cause Mark is cool AF period!
it waa totally a washington state thing.
People act like he doesn't know he's doing this though which is what confuses me. I'm shaking my head smh.
This level of rad can never be weighed our measured in our lifetime!
It's so rad, it took the guy who posted it 18 years to gather his thoughts and finally post it online...
RIP Mark. My heart is broken
I love Joey and i know people say this I’m every thread but DAMN does he rush those fills! I like to think those are “stylistic choices”
It's the punk rock drummer in him.
Hes rushing hard hereeeee
@@jbayley6963 he's not rushing it, you are listening too slow
@@smwrbd so is the rest of the band then lmao
Coke fright
0:14 I love how Nick starting cracking up
Just like Dave said everyone in QOTSA is badass, and there is not a better live performance known to date done but these guys.
I love this! Miss these days!
The sudden ending is fucking criminal
Mark Lanegan you are missed 😢
Yeah...we must, be able to, see them again...much love...much respect
Just found out Mark passed away. RIP!
Love this 💘 nice energy in this their performance 🎭 🥳🤩
RIP Mark Lanegan
If Mr. Homme only play guitar, seria un top 20 de la historia. En kyuss y en qotsa quedo demotrado que concentrado en la guitarra es impresionante. Un verdadero riffman
Sí, hombre.
Lanegan sounds great, as always. RIP 💔🍻
rip mark , legend
Great line up! Joey Castillo is an amazing drummer and of course the great Mark Lanegan with the vocals of a gas station attendant with lung cancer but in the best possible way!
this album is incredible! so was the music made in the early 2000s!
How dare they cut the song off!
Killed it!
Rip mark one of the greatest
Killer, dang good tune and band.
Thank you. Top 10 channel on RUclips
This is the classic lineup that I remember
I saw them on this tour (at the Élysée-Montmarte, in Paris) and they were simply amazing
Élysée-Montmarte, a maison du catch!
Sometimes I forget Mark Lanegan used to sing for these guys
I never knew they had a singer before. Always thought the guitar player sung (forgot his name, i do know it!)
@@davidgreen4084 Josh Homme. And he does but there was a period where Mark sang with them as well. It's always been Josh's brainchild though
rip💀
They’re best album no doubt 🥵
Mark voice🤘 inmortal
We'll miss ya, Mr.Lanegan. One of my favorite albums of all time is Songs for the Deaf. Somebody post a live version of The Hangin' Tree, please?
I remember staying up late just to see the bands play good times
RIP Lanegan🌟
Damn joey had the ride tight. Love this whole album.
You know Dave Grohl played this album?
@@boazvanwi wish he would have done more. His drumming is so much better here than it was with Nirvana and it was pretty dam good with them.
@@boazvanwi gene Troutman wrote the drum part for go with the flow
@@boazvanwi and a lot of different songs on that album
Wow Nick was so clothed
Rip Mark 💔
Miss you Nick

Rip mark 😭
So fucking awesome, I love it 💙💙💙💙
Damn when mark steps up to that mic it's fucking on!!! Damn what shame.
RIP Mark. 🖤
RIP Mark Lanegan what a guy

Fuck me this was almost 20 years ago already 😩
What an allstar band this was at the time
thats really rocks from mark lanegan...R.I.P dude..

REP Mark, you are missed.
RIP Mark
R.I.P MARK LANEGAN !
Troy always looks like some European Lord
RIP Mark lanegan
FUCK IT! - what a loss, so gutted. so, so so so gutted. Mark RIP and smoke it up in the sky. Legend.
YEYYEEEAAAAHHHHHHHH LTES FUCKING GOOOOO
It's cool how Joey keeps rushing the tempo. It's makes it fun for everyone else. And Im not shitting on him. Drummers get excited when playing cool shit. Id rush it too
fucked the beginning, clear why they had to get rid.
2003 was such a special year.. well unless you were Iraqi your days were numbered.
Para mí esta es la mejor formación de QOTSA . . . todo bien con Dave Grohl, pero esta formación era tremenda.
Mark looks like a very pissed off trucker
Hey looks more like Tom Waits more than Tom Waits
Rip
Uggg the drums are just killing me here!
Only other band besides them i’ve been impressed with at the outstanding quality of live shows is D’angelo
The early 2000’s seem like an alternate universe compared to now. Rock music was still mainstream, people were a lot less sensitive, etc.
And Kimmel wasn't a government stooge
"people were a lot less sensitive"
Not that I agree with that statement, but living through those years, people were regularly making the same kind of complaints.
@@BockwinkleB Kimmel was always a Democrat stooge
@@HomoChomsky I don't agree.
@@HomoChomsky People have been saying the same “oh people back then people were less sensitive and PC” shit for at least the last 50 years at least
Jimmy Kimmel of today would hate Jimmy Kimmel from 2003
Hes such a sellout. Howard Stern as well....
Jimmy is such a phony...he makes Jay Leno seem like a super genuine tv host...lol....
I hate every Jimmi Kimmel
Mark really reminds me of Layne Staley here
do you have any Jimmy Kimmel content from 3006/2007?
in the year three thousaaaaaaaaaaand....
Mark....
Meteram essa em rede nacional?
e daí ? eles tacaram o fds . kkkkkk
Better with Dave on drums
See you in the other side brother Mark...
And just like that...people suddenly know who this guy was.
I've known him since the mad season that I've been listening to for about 2 years now.
Why it cut so short wtf?
What song is this?
Mark Lanegan
put at .75 for closer to correct speed lmao
Rumor has it that Jimmy started crying
Joey always going wayyy too fast lmao
Was starting to wonder if I had it on 1.25 speed lol
its so bad
THE SHLOP
Best live version and josh don't bother singing this you embarrass yourself
Whoooa who are all these new band members including the singer???
Too fast
Could have cut Jimmy out 😂
Dudes were ripping it. Should also be noted this wasn't a great look for Joey. That intro was ehhhh.
Like Joey ever learned it :P
He had strengths, but tempo, groove or rhythmic things in general were not some of them.
People always rip on Joey, but the band hasn't been the same without him. The shows when he was drummer were fucking brutal, especially the "Duluth" tour or whatever they called it.
@@djdamagedome so basically, you're saying he was not a good drummer lol.
@@BockwinkleB he is an awful drummer
Sounds like Primus on acid
idk how i feel about the rushing in this performance. Still partial to Dave's, so yeah i am biased
not full version?
Bands only get 4 mins per song tops on these shows, that was the end of the broadcast. Cool they got to play whatever they wanted though
Great screen name
The intro to this song is sadly lost on this track. Its a good song. But the beginning is such a speedy banger. Sadly it turns waay down after and plays a slow melodic
Cultural musical heritage
Slow down Joey. Geez. This aint Wasted Youth.
Queens of the StoneAge on King of the Blackface
This song loses its impact without dave on the kit
