This is based on a character from a film produced by Guillermo del Toro, the director of films such as Hell Boy, and The Shape of Water.
This piece is based on the Angel of Death from the movie Hell Boy. This work was purchased by the director himself.

AKIHITO was born in Fukuoka prefecture in Japan. Between January and October 2000, He won first place in TV Champion's Special Effects Make-Up King Competition three years consecutively. He won Avant-Gard Make-up competition at the International Make-Up Artist Trade Show held in the United States in 1998. In 2002 Akihito moved to the United States. Since living in the United states, he has worked as a sculptor and Special Effects Make-up Artist on PREDATORS, NARNIA 1,2,3,IRONMAN2 ,SHUTTER ISLAND, ALICE IN WONDERLAND,TERMINATOR 4,5 AND JURASSIC PARK4 GUARDIAN OF GALAXY.
