In the UK you are allowed to park outside any shop for 2 minutes ONLY if you are ' nipping ' in for something you have forgot and have put your hazards on ..
In Brazil (or in the south where i live) we use hazards to signal we're letting somebody pass (another car or a pedestrian) rather than to thank someone for letting us pass. And yes, also the parking thing
You should do the different styles of driving, my husband is impaiteint as one of my friends, I kind of go with the flow. It amuses me that someone rushes in and out but ends up in the same place, at the end, or only one up.
That would be so funny. I have a friend who l can't let drive me. He puts the car in neutral at the lights, sits there til they're actually green, thinks about it, puts it in gear and 'roars' into action at about 2kph. Sometimes he doesn't even notice they've changed. Feels as though it takes an eternity to cross each set of lights. By the time we've done 2 or 3 sets l just want to beat him to death with my shoe. Icing on the cake, he's actually amazed when people toot at him. Been doing it for the 20+ years I've known him. Absolutely no clue.
@@nikiTricoteuse Hahaha, I have seen a car like that once. I had to laugh because I found it so weird. At that time the road was relatively empty and I drive in a relaxed manner when there were not many cars around. I try to drive in a way that I don't rev and don't brake unless I need to, just cruise all the way and let inertia slows down the car. I went on the road when this car suddenly zoomed past me, making that slipping engine belt sound, but then had to stop at the traffic light 500 metres away. Meanwhile, I slowly increased my speed and timed it so that the light will be back to green by the time I got there. I drove past that car without hitting the brakes through the traffic light, expecting to see his car rev and hear that 'slipping belt' sound again but I was puzzled when that car didn't move long after the traffic light went back to green. Anyway, eventually took my mind off it as it became smaller in my rear mirror and went on my way when it suddenly zoomed past me again. I eventually lost him but as I laughed at this weird behaviour I thought, "Ah well, he can probably afford the petrol and repairs." Now I know that this delayed start at the traffic light might've been because he didn't notice the change.
@@julesverneinoz l drive a lot like you in some ways and am "gentle" on the brakes, like my father taught me. It amazes and infuriates me how distracted some drivers are. I feel like yelling at them "YOU HAVE ONE JOB!" 😁 The driver you're describing sounds like a typically aggressive driver who wants to be first at all costs and is happy to trash their car to do it not realising that a little more attention and a little more skill would be much better.
