I'm Northern Irish and it's so funny how spot on he is with the difference in accents between the North and the Republic. I absolutely adore the southern accents, they really are so cheery and sing-song-y, but then I hear the northern accents and they always sound as though they're about to bite your head off or knock your pan in 😂

@daro2096 It is a little more than just that, but that is a start! Our rising inflection is obvious in certain areas. Macca did a good general accent :)
The South African one isn't the strongest offering of the bunch, but his Aussie one is stunningly authentic. And so few non-Australians can _successfully_ fake an Aussie accent (despite what every American world traveler believes), that it's honestly a rare treat to hear one sound so convincing that you start secondguessing whether the famous comedian doing it is _actually_ a Pom. 😂
Michael got our Aussie accent spot on. Very rarely does a non-aussie get it right. Especially Americans. Nearly every time it comes out as a New Zealand accent. Perfect example is Meryl Streep when she plays Lindy Chamberlain. Her accent wasn't even close. Congrats Michael👍
@@Kryptoniankousin Hi, The main differences are the way that New Zealanders pronounce their e & i (short sound). Often it sounds like they completely swap the 2 sounds e.g. there are sex bottles on the wall. Or I write weth a pin, or could I have six weth you? Depending on the person, often it can sound like they have a south African accent e.g. I would like to buy some fush and chups (fish and chips). It can also come out as leaving the sound out all together e.g. Can I buy some f_sh and ch_ps (although there is no gap (just one syllable). Not really sure how to explain the way us Aussies talk. Maybe we speak like the British but have squeezed all the poshness out lol.
Being a kiwi we always just get people thinking we are aussies as they cant tell the accents apart, which is funny because they are soo different for us
My dad's from Northern Ireland..my mum's the south of Ireland... I dated a guy from South Africa...and my best mate's from Liverpool....#conundrum 🇬🇧🇮🇪🇭🇲🏴🇿🇦
If a foreigner had to have a conversation with a South African, they wouldn't even know they were talking to a South African. Our English accents have vocal clarity & don't sound like they did prior to early 80's. Our English is quite articulate & words are pronounced properly.
I love that this comment section is filled with Australians going omg he actually did a good job of our accent 😂😂 everyone butchers it when they try it but he’s done it brilliantly 👏🏼
PenisMcWhirtar Really? Or maybe you’re joking with me and it went over my head. It’s hard to tell when something is written. I just discovered this comedian recently and I find his little stories cute and his personality quite charming. He’s pretty clean too, which is so much better than listening to some of the unnecessary vulgarity so prevalent these days. I’m no prude, but I just don’t enjoy crude humor. He is pleasant to watch. 😊
He does make me laugh and yes, I also appreciate a clean comedian who avoids sexism/racism/picking on the less fortunate. However, I'm in a very bad mood with England at the moment and McIntyre's humour feels like it belongs in 2007 when there was still optimism, hope of a better future and we could laugh at ourselves. Now I prefer comedians like Stewart Lee who highlight some of the foolish thinking and attitudes that got us into this mess. Hence me both laughing at this clip but ultimately feeling rather empty.
PenisMcWhirtar Thanks for your thoughts! There will always be foolishness in the world. And, it’s so easy to let it get us down and to become discouraged. That’s why seeing humor in the mundane is so important for me, anyway, where I can suspend serious thought for awhile. I’ll check out the comedian you recommended! Thanks!
I’m a Pom but lived in Australia nearly all my life . Mudbloood I guess but his accents are excellent and his Aussie is pretty great , country Aussies speak much more slowly than the city ones . He is comedy gold 🇦🇺🦘
Michael, I am one of your biggest fans and have shared your laughter with family and friends. Please add the Mancunian and Liverpudian?accent to your British accent skits. They are so much fun to add- example, ask a Mancunian to say the word bus.... just love your videos. You are WHO I turn to for a " pick me up ", and you haven't failed me yet ! Thank you !!
Oh my gosh! I never knew how good he was at accents! Amazing!. I wish I could see him perform on stage. But I'm in California and I doubt he'll be doing shows here any time soon
Being Australian, i can assure you it isn't. Even if you think your doing it right. It never sounds right to an Australian. Any aussie could pick a fack accent out easily. Because its not just about tone and inflection - But the way we say words. People trying to mimic us will say "Australia is quite fun" he said "Straya's quite fun" which is how we speak.
Hands down, Michael is the funniest comedian in the world!!! He can talk about relatable subjects or anything and he will still make it funny. That is talent.❤️
