I love watching many kinds of tutorial on how to manage properly their youtube channel in order to grow properly like this. Man this really made me feel so much better!! I watch you guys just to study and get better with my own videos and my niece is just encouragement and motivation to uplift people who are struggling in life in general.
Sometimes the numbers can be very discouraging because I want everyone to be encouraged and to reach people for the good 😊
I was recently battling with stage, one lung cancer, and then a few weeks ago. It came out in my CT scan that it was gone completely but what kept me going during that time was making RUclips videos to encourage people who were not just going through what I was going through, but People who are just struggling and making those videos really kept me out of depression!!
And you guys at Think Media really helped me get better at the quality of my videos as I studied and just applied myself and I'm very grateful for you guys !!!

Amazing video, and I wish we had this before I started my channel... It would have saved me so much time I used on trial-and-error. But I guess it's never too late to learn and improve as content creator (Lately I have also discovered that using a bit of Famester helps massively for growing up your channel. It was honestly a proper game-changer for me, and I think everyone should give it a try). Keep up the great work, your videos always provide lot of useful information.
I have a cooking channel and I am still working on getting 1000 subscribers. I do everything manually as writing recipes and description. This video helped me alot. Thank you 😊
Hello from Argentina!! 6:48 I think that pushing algorithmically from up to down the content that people should watch instead that the people watching what they want and they change the algorithm with their preferences (down to up) is an imposition against the liberty of expression (you call it freedom of speech) where people should freely decide what they want to watch ot read and not imposed by an oligarchy aligned with the governments. I am micro influencer. I do shorts which never do very well. I also do long form content. My channel had a massive spike half a year ago and then it plummeted down and still doesn’t pick up so I hope soon it will get back up as it felt good to be at the top!
What's your perspective on short->long form view conversion? The trend is to do all formats, but a lot of folks (large and small) see two very different audiences across formats, which could ultimately hurt channels by diluting viewership.

I second the whole "raw" approach. Last May, I was at 2,035 subscribers. I just take my Google Pixel 6 phone and record my drawings. Now I have 51,600 subs and I don't do anything fancy equipment-wise. That all happened in just ten months.

I fall into authentic category. I'm gonna be me. This is MyTube, my show and I'm doing video that bring me joy. Consequentially, I only want subscribers that enjoy exactly that. Even if that means there's only 600 people in the entire world that want to see it.

I didn't even know what subscribers were until I already had 145 on my main channel. So I never got into the habit of asking people to subscribe and I still don't do that today. They know where the Subscribe Button is: it's up to them if they press it or not.

@@BlackAndBlueGarage Just today I revamped the videos I am going to upload tomorrow to include End Clips from last week's videos. I started them with "Last time on..." and finished the recap with "And now, the Continuation..." just like an Episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Great video, lots of value. 🙏 I am a nano creator and want to go full-time on RUclips. I just find it tough in my industry (fitness) as it’s oversaturated, but I am working extra hard to build my brand and personally connect with my audience by responding to every single comment and asking questions in my community feed. I also ask my followers what they need help with and then produce videos they find useful to them. That personal and authentic relationship is so important. When I post in the comments of a popular RUclipsr and they reply, I’m more likely to come back as I feel part of their community. We need to make sure we keep these personal connections. Like you said, I’d rather have less views but a strong community of followers than millions of views with no community or brand-building relationships.

I've gotten started in ugc myself. And I must say there's definitely money to be made there and doors that I never thought would open that have open from me doing it
I love doing long form videos over my action figure reviews and it has created an amazing community for me. Shorts helped increased my reach bringing more eyes to the channel. I also suggest engage with your community and respond to comments :)

Yeah, I'm taking my content seriously, just started youtube by the way. This kind of thing helps me grow as a starter
I like long videos, it takes so long to watch them that i have a whole bunch of tabs sitting or entire week as i watch more than 1 channel.
For me my sweet spot is 30-40 minute videos especially if it's vlogs!
I also loooove long form tutorials that are extremely dumbed down

1.5 years doing youtube. hit 7459.. It has been a journey for sure. Continuing to create and build. I don't do too much shorts just long form content. Always trying to create new ways to edit and figure things out. Here's to 2 years in July/August! Keep grinding!

The problem with yt shorts is that the user who is watching a short is not the same who is watching a long form video. Me for example I like to watch some anime clips but I never watch long form content about anime, so if they show me a long video about anime I will ignore it probably, I don't want to spend 10 minutes in that type of content.
For sure bring in teaching on UGC practices and how to leverage it.

Music to my ears as I am a small creator learning the ropes coming back to it from the 1080p days, having to learn so much new about the platform the editing software and the cameras. I was starting to worry that you had to have MrBeast type vids to succeed the algorithm which is totally the opposite of my creative mindset. Thanks for the content very encouraging and helpful.

Great Video as Always. Unfortunately you left out addressing the "Influencers" who are grinding their Butts off to even get to the 1000. What was the thinking behind that? I feel like that's the Group that needed the most acknowledgment from You BECAUSE We ARE NOT making money At All, even Nano Influencers are getting something and have received Validation for their Work.
It's the ones before Monetization who are most likely to Give Up because they don't have the Capital to support their YT Career.

Yes I’d love to learn more about UGC. I do this now, but trading products for exposure. It’s a perk to get “free stuff” but this doesn’t pay the bills. I'm a small busness owner building a brand about helping others find their highest and greatest self through a blend of spirituality, connection, and best self practices. I have been teaching for years, but am just now really trying to build my social media platform and skills.
