well they aren't only a cover band, they write their own original pieces that are incredible in every sense of the word. They then often times go back and put words to them, but usually have other people sing them....but if you go waaaaaaaaaaaay back to their start, they sang ^_^
I agree, why are you hear if you can't appreciate. I myself play cello, and they are a major idol to me. It seems easy to play without breaking a bow, strings or screech a sting, it's ALOT harder than it looks, especially how they play. They are amazing. : )

the guy in black with glasses, is their mentor basically. He brought the classical sound to their original pieces, so he dresses for it. He likes to think of himself as how musicians used to be thought of. Professional. The long blond hair, well considering where they are from and the style of music they are covering *Metallica* , I'd say it's appropriate. The fact is though, they look the same when playing their own original pieces
This is AWESOME!!!!!!!! As a lifelong fan of both classical music and heavy metal I've long dreamt of combining the two formats (both playing metal songs on classical instruments and vice versa). This is exactly what I want to hear! The cello has a similar enough sound to the (electric)|guitar to translate well, but with so much more tonal richness. Great stuff!!
They have entire albums of only their original work...And it is intensely amazing and far far better than any metallica cover they've ever done. yes, they are great at covering metallica, and it was something new, but Apocalyptica's original pieces...blow my mind.

Best Cover They've Done. Hands down. Why they bothered with seek and destroy, i don't know... it's too thrashy to really do it justice with cellos... This song is amazing though... the sound of the solo played on the cello is phenominal.
