Super awsome bird ranch! Awsome life living of of these things that are just enjoyable in life. Beats the 9 to five...the clocking in and out and the brown nosers....birds don't talk crap😆👍👍👍
Naco I've had pheasants for years. The best way is to hold the bird between your knees and use your hand to brace the exit side where the pin will come out. That way it's solid and the pin goes through smoothly. First of all put all your pins through the same side of your blinder so you have the same pattern for each bird. Right to left or which ever way it works best for you . I'm right handed so I start the pins all on the right side of the blinder. That works best for me. When I say right side that's with the bird between my knees facing away from me...
Awesome video Jordan. I didn't realize how beautiful pheasants were. they kind of act cool too. I'm mostly used to being around chickens I guess. and by the way, chickens remind me of little dinosaurs LOL. Anyway great video thank you for sharing and yeah I love these type of videos everything you've done I've enjoyed watching. Peace out
Great Job, I’ve gone to small Pheasant farms before, but this one well organized. I have 70 acres and would love to learned how to raise pheasants. A good place to buy your chicks is at the McFarlane farm in Wisconsin.
Well , it's so amzing . Your farm is too large with many modern equipments and your pheasant is so beautiful . I'm from Viet Nam, i raise pheasant too. Once again congratulations and good luck .
Hey guy how are you doing I really enjoyed your show today I would be nice if you could show there’s so many different kinds of pheasant there’s beautiful world go to a farmer they have all these beautiful exotic pheasants that would be very nice anyways thank you I learned some things about how they breed them got again have a good one thank you
I used to love hunting ringnecks in upstate NY, but now they are mostly gone except for the hunting clubs. I like your videos, plenty of variety. Do you plan on doing anymore about the butcher shop and all that goes on there ?
More space is better for sure but I’ve seen them in much smaller pens. Be sure to check your local regulations, here in Kansas you need a permit to raise them
Another awesome video! I was gonna give this a try with 250 birds but my state wants too much money for permits and they also want full access 24/7 to my pens so I said no thank you!
Also here they want you to tell them exactly how many birds you have each month with paperwork and if your over when they pop in on ya it's a ridiculous fine
From Indonesia: I have a small pheasant farm near my house. The peasants are in the cage 2x4 meters with ceiling 3 meters. Every cage has 1 male and 2 female pheasants. The problem is 50% of the eggs are pecked by them. The Second problem is they always put the eggs elsewhere outside the nests I put. Well, do you have any advice? Thanks.
Most times it’s hunting clubs or outfitters that buy them. I’ll try and go a little more in depth in another video. They are quite tasty! They have light and dark meat much like a chicken.
Ha... wild... i just saw this randomly on youtube and recognized the place. I went there on a FFA trip when i was a freshman or a sophomore or something. The teacher wanted to give us project ideas by showing us some of the big stuff that the seniors had done.
Pheasant season starts in California on November 9th. Seems unfair. Bag limit is two male birds a day and this guy has thousands of birds. If you should complain about hunting, what do you think is going to happen to those thousands of birds on the pheasant farm?
Jordans Harvest -- Thanks. I don't like the controlled sitting areas. It just seems too easy. Of course all I do is walk out of the house, across the dirt road and I am hunting. Just the cost of shotgun shells and the license. Well to each his own.
Totally want to see a video of the pheasant round up! Love the channel, keep up the good work.
I’ll see if I can do that!
These videos are so awesome! I enjoy them just as much as the hunting videos! Super fascinating without a doubt! Thanks for sharing Jordan!
Thanks dude!
Love the videos on different bird farms. It's very interesting to see how each is raised and harvested. Please continue with them.
Thanks! I’ll do my best!
Great channel ! I've ad a dream of moving to France and becoming a pheasant farmer for years now.Can you make a video of how you sell them?
Great video Jordan very interesting 👍👍👍

There will be more butcher content, for sure once season gets here.
That was a badass video !!!
Thanks!
Love to see more on them
I’ll see what I can do!
Jordans Harvest fantastic. Want to get into pheasant on my homested
I have been looking for your channel ❤️❤️finally
I’m glad you found it!
Thanks for checking it out!
a pheasant farm is sort of a vanity project? Don't see them sold anywhere very often. Maybe at gourmet shops on a seasonal basis.
Great video!! Not enough pheasant videos out there keep it up. Shoot out to Bobby n dux that's how I found u!! Keep it jord
Thanks for checking out the channel!
I liked it... please make videos of other varieties of beautiful pheasant👍👍👍😊
Thanks! I’ll see what I can do
can you keep them in a coop? say if you had two hens or do they need lots of space like they have there ?
More space is better for sure but I’ve seen them in much smaller pens. Be sure to check your local regulations, here in Kansas you need a permit to raise them
Another awesome video! I was gonna give this a try with 250 birds but my state wants too much money for permits and they also want full access 24/7 to my pens so I said no thank you!
That’s to bad! I know he had to get all of that stuff done but I didn’t know it was that big of a headache
Also here they want you to tell them exactly how many birds you have each month with paperwork and if your over when they pop in on ya it's a ridiculous fine
Great Video!
Thanks!
Can you tell me about the waterer system. Are those round waters like a hot water heater pan with a float?
Thanks.
Very interesting.
What is growing in the flight pen? Lambsquarter?
Do they take the blinders off when they release them and what foliage do they use inside the flight pens ?
Whats the purpose of the blinders
Kevin Clater so, outside traffic does not freak them out. If it does freak them out they have a high chance at splitting their heads open
It also helps keep the fighting down
How do you take care of them when the rain happens?
I whent phesant hunting in tennesee and it is cool to see how they are raised we almost baught some to raise and hunt ourselves
They are fun birds for sure!
Love the videos have you ever thought about getting quail?
I have many times. I even had bought some of the equipment I needed.
My biggest obstacle is finding a place to put them.
Pretty BA man. Keep up the content. I’d like to see some qual too if you can 😂 does he only sell too people in Kansas?
I’ll see if my quail guy will let me film!
He will sell to anyone who will come pick them up!
Jordans Harvest Kansas is a long drive from Virginia or i definitely would i want about 50 😂

I will be benefited if you give details. In which month is this bird kept? Winter or summer? What is its food? I hope you are always well.
Do people buy them to hunt on their properties in season?
They look tasty are they?
Thanks for the vid keep the birds coming. 👍

@@JordansHarvest Thanks for that good stuff.
Where do you live that you get that much snow?
Central Kansas. We don’t get that much snow very often but it’s good to be prepared just in case
Wow, that’s awesome 👍🏼☘️👍🏼
It was a lot of fun to film it!
But...how do they taste ? Lol
Also, what plants are those in the pens ?
Great video ! ❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦
Delicious........
I can’t remember what kind of plants they are but I’ll try and find out.
Thanks for watching!
Kochia weed
This place looks oddly familiar... i may have been here before, is this out by Yoder?😂
It is!
Ha... wild... i just saw this randomly on youtube and recognized the place. I went there on a FFA trip when i was a freshman or a sophomore or something. The teacher wanted to give us project ideas by showing us some of the big stuff that the seniors had done.
If you turn them loose to be wild what is the survior rate
What part of Kansas are you in?
How much does this set up cost? and how big is it?
What type of vegetation is that?
Kochia Weed
Awesome
Thanks!
Why kind of shed does he have????
I believe it was custom built or a retrofitted room off of his shop
Oh ok. I was planning on starting with quails, but I think I want to start with pheasants instead. But I’m looking for the right shed for it.
Amazing
Nice video. Could you do some pigeon trapping please
I’m working on it!
What is this plant species in older Bird's pens??
Kocha
It almost looks like lambsquarters.
Pls tell me what exactly you feed chicks of pheasants
Is there a market for pheasants can you make money off of
If you know the right people, yes. There is a hunt club that I know of that buys 1000 a week during the season
I'm in California just asking
Thank you awesome video
So what is he using as his cover vegetation
I don’t remember but I know I’ve answered that in the comments before
Does he ship birds? I'd like a Male and 4 females. I live in the Chicago area
He doesn’t ship, pick up only
James Redlegs unlimited ships
You should build a small place for pheasants and then get some
All I have to do is convince the wife......
@@JordansHarvest okay
how do you pick their eggs in that pen
They don’t. All the birds a first year and not laying yet
What you feed them
What sq ft is the chick shed?
In Which State are you living . I live in alaska .
Kansas!
I raise exotic and ring neck pheasants myself that's what my logo is!

How to make profit on the pheasants?
they can fly within a week of hatching.
That’s nuts!
crazy thing, blinders on birds. huh, never knew that.

Walmart bag dove decoy? Not sure if I have heard of such a thing

Have you ever been pheasant hunting
Yes! I don’t go as much as I used to but I try to go every year
35° temperature can be farm or not .
Have you ever heard of the Pheasant Man that lives out there by Salina KS I don't know if he is still around
I can’t say that I have

Most of these birds go to controlled shooting areas. That allows the hunters to males and females with no limits! It can be quite expensive though
