Thankyou if you can help.
Thanks for yr comments Will and for more fantastic scenery tc hi to tiller man Ann And David 👋🦋
You're very welcome.
I was a loyal viewer of project narrowboat , loved the way he did his vlogs , I’ll have to watch narrowboatwill now instead lol , I binged watched you’re channel last week to the point I was waking up in a cold sweat hearing ‘narrowboat narrowboat narrowboat will’ , love the channel really 😉 , like the mix of cruises and boat diy stuff , good quality!
I enjoyed Jonny London's dry narration and dry sense of humour. I was looking forward to meeting him on the cut. Thanks for watching my old vlogs Christopher. Cheers.
I will another interesting canal and you make me laugh you are funny all the best for now
Thankyou for watching again Suzanne. I'm pleased you enjoy my humour. Take very good and kind care.
Well, I've been impressed by the beauty of the Don navigation - it manages to remain beautiful when 50 metres either side is industry. Well done for the Silver Propellor.
Yes I got that challenge done. I went to the end of the basin and turned around at the back through the arch. People said boats don't go in there. Ha ha stay tuned ripper.
Me and kev love the johnny voices. Kev was nearly falling out of his chair laughing. Well done getting to Sheffield. Julie and kev
Hello you two. Can't beat Jonny london for his dry commentary. I told him he influences my vlogs. Ha ha See you two on the cut again. Take care..
Hiya Wills, it's me again. The flowers where the Cherry tree was looks most certainly like Honeysuckle.
And the other big shrubs you thought were Fuschias are in fact Buddlea(spelling?) commonly known as 'The Butterfly bush'. Another great video, thanks again. Take care buddy.
Hello again Barrie. Thanks for the info. I will try to remember. I just love it all. The buildings and nature. Fantastic. Have a good evening.
I think it's "buddleia" Barrie if you don't mind my saying.
welcome to Shuffles Will - tremendous !!
Ha ha Shuffles. I go around next vlog. Stay tuned ripper.
Well that journey into Sheffield was beautiful, hardly knew that industry was all around it. I've not see seen this canal on other channels. Filthy thumbs up. 👍
Hello Kath. I don't think boaters enjoy doing the lock flight. It's hard work and we had to book it. Worth it though. Thanks
They were buddleia, Will ….. butterflies love ‘em! 👍
Oh ok honeysuckle and Buddleia so far. Thankyou for that Christopher.
Hi Will, interesting trip, those shrubs are Buddlea often found along railway lines.
Thankyou Philip. They're a lovely colour.
Commonly called Butterfly Bush in the US. Kind of invasive as they just keep seeding everywhere. At least they're pretty.
@@michellec8273 Same name in UK.

Your right, it is a joke!
The kids shout RESPECT, show me respect; yet they don't know how to respect others and the gift of FREEDOM, that they enjoy.
Which was given by brave men and women!
The media world is going bonkers. Outside my window is completely sane. Ha ha Cheers John.
Really interesting journey Will. Thanks for sharing. Keep safe out there and stay cool.
Thankyou Sandi. The lock flight was hard work but worth the effort. Thanks for watching again.
Give that Guy a Blue Peter Badge👍 you made it to the Basin Will, not many have done Tinsley Flight it's hard graft, especially a solo Boater. That double decked bridge you went under is Tinsley Viaduct, M1 on top Ana A631 on bottom, when you're sat at traffic lights on red the bridge goes up and down due to the volume of traffic, Keep up with these Vlogs Pal👍
That's an impressive structure for sure. Weird seeing traffic going both ways. I bet it bends and twists in the heat and weight of traffic. Locals don't like that flight. It is hard graft. I was glad to be sharing the locks Mark. Cheers
@@NarrowboatWill That Tinsley Viaduct is seemingly in a constant state of repair/maintenance ever since it opened in about 1967/68.
Sheffield Basin weehee! Saw some really nice graffiti of a swan there.
I really liked the basin I also enjoyed leaving the noise behind. Ha ha
I think it looks like the Jungle Cruise ride at Disneyland! 🤠
Ha ha ha I know what you mean Brian. It was abit over grown in places. Cheers again.
Love to Boat Very cool. And wasn't there a lot of bridges going over this canal, Have a great weekend.
Lovely canal with that fascinating two level motorway going over. Fantastic journey. Thanks for watching Christopher.
A lovely journey,👍👍👍
Thankyou Thomas.
I worked on the Tinsley Viaduct around 2002 when it was having a refurb. The top tier is the M1, we also used the burnt out cafe, the guy who owned it was a huge ice hockey fan and alot of the overseas players used to ho in there, shame how thats turned out.
It's an amazing structure for sure. The cafe looks like it's going to be flats in the future unless it's listed. Cheers for the story Jim.
Sent you coffee and cake will enjoy Ann and David ( Christine)
That's so kind of you. I will give you a lovely mention. Have a lovely day. I get some cake next vlog. Ha ha
Is it Ann and David Christine?
It ann and david jarvis the email in my full name christine jarvis but all call me ann
Great vlog Will with great scenery. I was on the Tinsley Flight for a change to Thorne Lock
Hard set of locks. Locals don't like them but I loved going into Sheffield. Loads to see and do. Cheers
Love these vlogs can’t wait to go along the Don next year
Yeah it's a great river Caroline. You'll love it I'm sure. Have a lovely evening.
The bush you pointed out was a honeysuckle
Oh ok thankyou Chris.
Nicely done Will. Lovely looking canal.
Is that another silver propeller destination completed?
Al
Yes and I show you next vlog. Thankyou for watching.
Haven't seen tillerman for so long, I feared he was overboard. Good to see he's in his usual state: grumpy.
Tinsley Marshalling Yard used to be huge, lots of hump (gravity) shunting. They had locos permanently coupled together called "master and slave" units, til someone got a kick in the ankle and they became "primary/secondary".
I can see why the changed that name. It must of been a sight to see with all the work going on. Thanks for tuning in and have a great day.
Great vlog. Your commentary is hillarious, 🤣 Will you could do voice overs for children's programs.
If you think that double road mind boggling, check out spaghetti Junction, in Birminham, think the architect must have had a dish of spaghetti for lunch when he designed it 🤣 Although it is spectacular from an arial point of view. Your cruise went well and lovely views. Some of the graffiti art was very good.
I've been under spaghetti junction in my boat and on it in my van. If you take a wrong turn you've had it. Ha ha I'm glad you get a laugh out my vlogs Sheila. Have a wonderful day.
@@NarrowboatWill Every time I drop my lad off at Birmingham City Locks university I take the wrong entry/exit for the M whatever to get to the M42, and I mean every time, even with the sat nav on. He should have gone to Loughborough uni instead.
Just found you and subbed up! Great vid, thank you x
Welcome onboard. Make sure you wipe your feet ripper. Ha ha
I do'nt usually like seeing graffiti on bridge walls , but that looked quite nice , it looked alot than it used to do when i was a youngster lol .
It seems they are spending loads on improvements Lori. I enjoyed the city. Stay tuned for the tour. Cheers
Buddleia! 😀
Niceeee..
Danke!
You're very welcome.
Thankyou so much. Give you a mention next vlog. Have a great day.
The yellow signs are speed cameras 🤣🤣
😂😂😂🤔
there,s an advert on UT with someone who sounds just like one of your funny voices ? is it you
Oooh is it. Could it be? Who knows?? I don't it's not me. Ha ha
That canal basin (Victoria Quays) is a real hangout for hippies in Sheffield. There's a sign saying " Warning: Hippies of all ages having Fun" it's a real alternative place and not somewhere for people in baseball hats or people constantly looking at their phone or talking about football. Pity you didn't show those little bars a bit further up where all the hippies are. It's a splendid "alternative" place.
Splendid little film.
I go around Sheffield next vlog. It's a beautiful little basin. Thankyou for watching and join me again next time.
dude its a complete shit hole I come from Sheffield
Ha ha ha I enjoyed it. I only stayed a few days.
